Could be some wise punters with money to spare, having seen the share price dropping over the past couple of weeks for no apparent reason.
Definitely something brewing here. Looking forward to some positive announcements before the year end
Some one has their cheque book out today..... I wonder what they know ?
I was asking opinions on the possible share value in 5-10 years, best case realistic scenario. And the realistic one.
Tony, what does the first sentence mean?
Samth makes fair points, I might be slightly more optimistic.
Who knows? The simple fact is that one year is a long time for a speculative share. You are not going to make your fortune with 20,000 shares unless you are exceptionally lucky and can wait a number of years for all the acreage to grow or be bought for their carbon credit value - unless Gabon is part of a war.
By Xmas 2023 those people with large numbers of shares (or warrants) may see the green shoots of a profitable business emerging and the share price rise enough to cover their losses. They then have to decide whether to sell some or all of their holding.
Over The next 5-10 years if Woodbois is still operating. What are the potential realistic share prices for Woodbois? Lowest & highest? Anyone got an opinion on this? I have 20,000 shares so far. Thanks
The number of shares being issued rises faster than the profits. The cheaper the share price the higher the number of shares that need to be issued to raise funds. WBI needed to issue a a load of shares when the price was linked to carbon credits and the share was over-valued as a result. That might come under insider-trading if Paul Dolan had realised the world believed their huge land mass qualified for carbon credits. He knew they did not and possibly realised what we thought , or maybe not , in this Q&A session imho.
You need those new plots to see profits rise - but they ain't got the money to buy them.
I was hopeful Jeff Bezos (Amazon) might buy some and let WBI manage them but the iron seems is now room temperature!

When on earth is this share price going to jump!? It seems to be taking forever!!
Surely the management at Woodbois have an interest in it coming back to where it once was!!
I have asked the company for the prospective date of the next AGM today.
There was a GM on 16 June 2023 but not an AGM as stated on the tab.
The last formal AGM was in May 2022 as far as I can see. A question to the company seems appropriate in view of the statement in the last RNS.
This happens with many shares, both directions, especially small-gap &/or fast-moving. It's not usually sinister or manipulative, do you have any suspicion?
A nice £22.94k right at the end of the day 👍
Let’s hope by Christmas this share price has doubled.
It will be hard, but steady, yards to a penny and then brokers will start applying margin to the stock, esp if volumes pick up too, so buys wont have to be all cash so get bigger and it will start to run quicker.
Balance sheet is shored up, new CEO, Pelhams Monaco mates are onboard and hopefully some news decent news this side of Christmas. It's a steal at this price.
Hopefully we will keep rising now, same as the trees.
This ship is off the mudbank - at last
2 wealthy guys have stuck in millions with warrants at a penny so my guess it will run past at least double that in the near term. One has a background in private debt so I would guess they are working on a replacement line for that which was pulled this year. If true, the news should push it to 3p and beyond. Remember even with the news of a military coup in the country the share price only dropped on small volumes - there were no large sales which is significant.
I had planned to slice but the earlier wide spread would have been loss. Gla.
2p, 4p, 6p and fully out at 8p.
Bought more on the confirmation of uptrend.
Xmas is coming
So these god damn shares need to start moving
CHATTY IS NEARLY RIGHT
On the internet:-
When does the obligation under to make a general offer to all the shareholders of a company arise?
Rule 9 of the Takeover Code requires a general offer to be made to the holders of any class of equity share capital and also to the holders of any other class of transferable securities carrying voting rights in a company which is subject to the Takeover Code (unless the Takover Panel consents otherwise) when:
Any person acquires an interest in shares which, together with shares in which persons acting in concert with that person are interested, carry 30% or more of the voting rights of the company; or
Any person, together with persons acting in concert with that person, is interested in shares which carry between 30% and 50% of the voting rights of such a company, and such person, or that person’s concert parties, acquires an interest in any other shares which increases the percentage of shares carrying voting rights in which that person is interested.
Hi can chatty let us know where he got that info of the new government taking a 35% stake in foreign companies as I can't find a single bit of info regarding this....
If the government take 35% of the shares then when the BoD make a Cash Call on shareholders, the government will have to find 35% of the Cash Call.
Clearly the government will refuse to pay since they don't have spare money. So then shareholders are unlikely to pay up making the companies growth destroyed.
