If Google is to be believed, and I have no reason not to believe it, VLE ended the day at CAD 0.60 yesterday which is approx 37.5 in UK money, but not a peep here...... looks like any good news hasn't yet made its way over the pond. Now that would be worth a punt for the Traders of you out there if trying to get in before the crowd with its current price :)
I bought in in Dec 19 after one of the biggish drops to the low 30s thinking it should bounce back within a year based on its cash position and potential. To say the performance has been underwhelming based on those 2 factors since then is an understatement. I think the truth is, while Guest is at the helm, despite talking a good game, has delivered very little so far and don't see that changing because why does he need to. No large shareholder on his case pushing for change / improvement. I smiled when some of the posters jumped on the slight rise Monday / yesterday thinking this was going to take off, and probably now realising they misjudged it. Its only stubborness that is keeping me in with an average of 30, but if it ever gets near 40 I am definitely out. If you look at Director buys 2 years ago, it was around this time that they bought some, so wouldn't be surprised if it was the same thing here. Or the company buying some as part of the compensation package whilst having delivered not much. Lets hope I get proven wrong in the very near future so my 40 target gets reached.
Trading sub cash
I’d say so
What does folks think about this . ? Is there room for more of a rise in the SP?
I have been looking for a while and I missed the recent jump
The most recent well operation is kept out of the presentation:
During the second quarter 2020 Valeura resumed production testing of the Devepinar-1 well in which the Kesan Formation had been previously stimulated at three depths between 4,640 and 4,765 metres. This zone flowed gas to surface over a cumulative total of 41 days, producing an aggregate 28.6 MMcf of natural gas, of which approximately 75% was produced into the Company’s infrastructure and sold to customers. The well’s average initial production rate over 30 days (IP-30) was 890 Mcf/d, and over the course of the test period, declined to approximately 170 Mcf/d for the final 7 days of flow. Testing and evaluation of this section in the well has now been completed and the well has since been shut in. Pressure build up data will now be acquired to assist in interpretation.
They sold their gas production out to Hannam last year at a big discount.
Equinor backed out two years ago after financing 3 deep wells. Fracking and long term testing gave disappointing results with hard decline and water fraction at 75%.
Explains no partners yet willing to pay 100% of cost.
Currently under the radar. Even valeura on tsx is ca.35p
Why is this so cheap compared to its peers?

If the SP doen't increase with the current price of gas , it's going to take something dramatic to ressurect this one.
