Market seems to have missed this announcement from IAG: https://www.iairgroup.com/en/newsroom/press-releases/newsroom-listing/2021/sustainable-aviation-fuel
Probably won't be long before word gets out, Transport Secretary tweeting again: https://twitter.com/grantshapps/status/1385171618410991617
Small top up for me here. Looks in a tight range on chart so expecting a decent move soon. News flow would indicate it should rise. A safe enough level to be buying anyway, IMO.
This is yet another endorsement from IAG group partnering with Velocys...Good to see..
This is a commitment from IAG, not just BA. Note that LanzaTech has been put before VLS. Subtle, but telling.
Depends on how you look at matters Expat; does it read 13 VLS / BA plants in the UK to the one 1 large scale LJ / BA plant?
IAG “…With the right policy in place in the next ten years up to 14 plants could be built across the UK”.
BA announcement with LanzaJet 9 Feb 2021 “BA is investing in LanzaJet as the company builds its first commercial scale plant in Georgia, USA. BA will purchase SAF from LanzaJet’s US plant to power a number of the airline’s flights from late 2022. Deal also involves LanzaJet conducting early stage planning for a (ie singular) potential large scale commercial SAF biorefinery in the UK”; https://mediacentre.britishairways.com/pressrelease/details/86/0/12796
The wording is also telling in that the BA announcement from Feb stated.....
The announcement is in addition to British Airways’ existing partnership with Velocys to build a sustainable aviation fuel plant in the UK, which could produce SAF from 2025
The IAG most recent announcement says.....
This includes Europe’s first household waste-to-jet fuel plant in the UK which will start operations in 2025
The wording has changed from "could" to "will". Definitely encouraging and I bought in today on the news
I see the brat is still ramping LanzaJet at every opportunity
XPB: Or could it be that IAG put them in alphabetical order (logical) and you chose to see a position that fits with your all too well known view?
The argument for attributing any significance to the order in which the two companies are listed is fairly specious.
So predictable and disingenuous..as always. ...
Expat "This is a commitment from IAG, not just BA. Note that LanzaTech has been put before VLS. Subtle, but telling."
With this comment, any credibility you may have had left has now dissipated...(IMO)
Let’s look at the evidence.
Lanzajet: US based business, well funded, technology proven, US fuels policy supportive of SAF production enabling projects to happen.
VLS: UK based, perpetually underfunded, technology unproven, UK fuels policy needed to support SAF production, otherwise no project.
Good luck to those buying in based on the facts. Will need policy news to spike.
Are you Rafael Benitez?
“But I want to talk about facts. I want to be clear, I do not want to play mind games too early, although they seem to want to start. But I have seen some facts.”

Expatbrat, why the f.... are you here? cant't you just stay at lanzatech forum and let the people here discuss about news/progress arount velocys? isnt that possible?? holy sh... every stock has it's obsessed guys who are commenting every ****
Maybe it’s part of his job description over there ?
baumi
In total agreement.

"Investing in the development of sustainable aviation fuel to reduce emission by 70% or more
As a group we’ve committed $400 million towards the development of sustainable aviation fuel in the next 20 years. We’ve also invested directly in two first-of-a-kind plants with Velocys and LanzaJet, which could start to deliver sustainable fuel from as early as next year with life cycle emissions that are 70% less CO2 than fossil based jet fuel. Good to see this endorsement from BA. Sustainable aviation fuels are crucial to European aviation's 2050 net zero carbon dioxide emissions target. https://www.politicshome.com/news/article/exclusive-pm-plans-to-fly-into-cop26-on-green-fuel-plane - surely all we need is funding for Immingham (?) If willing to wait it out I can see so much potential
Fisher-Tropsch on the agenda today I see. Yes was bored so went through the schedule !! Page 24 from mcmather's link.

30 April 2021 - CAPA Live: BA CEO Sean Doyle:
“But within that framework, then, you've got near term opportunities, of which sustainable aviation fuel is very credible. We've committed to a supply agreement with LanzaJet. We're committed to a joint venture to develop a SAF plant up in Humberside with Velocys. We're pushing the UK government to support that through the Jet Zero Council."
