"Be fearful when others are greedy, and greedy when others are fearful"
Only a fool would listen to you tymers, youre reputation supersedes you, you are now well known for youre rubbish
Suggesting not to invest on the specific company BB via ADVFN should be regarded as Disruptive and carry a ban. Given the poster's history this should actually be a perma-ban.
Furthermore, you are actually trying to cause my family and myself to lose money/inheritances.
Ooooh the irony !!!
Yep holding long terms and slowly been building on the latest low prices, from small profits on other investments, now holding 1m shares. No rush for me, slow and steady wins the race, and by year end if i double my investment I will sell half my stock.
As I've said often , and perhaps more than has been necessary, I've spent much of this year countering a lot of short term optimism by suggesting we would likely remain range bound until the second half of the year. That whilst I do expect things to start picking up after then, that is not to say I expect explosive moves up come July 1st, only that we should hopefully end the year higher than where we are now.
It has been good to see a growing number of others here start to express and accept similar sentiments after listening to the latest UFO presentation. To recognise the long and slow nature of moving exploration projects forward without implying that such a pace is somehow an inherent fault with UFO.
If you think UFO will make you rich in the short term you are relying on a lot of luck and only a little insight. If you think it will make you rich in the long term then you may be relying on a lot more insight and a lot less luck. There are no certainties but UFO offers a favourable asymmetric risk.
GLA but DYOR
55 trades tells me there are no traders in UFO just a few holders selling a little beer money. Nothing to see for a year or two as such invest your time more productively elsewhere
They belong here as much as anyone HH - liquidity and all that :-)
I'm expecting a hum drum journey for a while until something big and positive happens and once you accept that it is easier to switch off and keep busy elsewhere. We're definitely on the same page when it comes to a long term philosophy but of course we both have low averages, sat on paper gains and blooming easy for us to say some might suggest! BUT it is patience that got us to this position.
AIM is always going to attract a more speculative investor more likely to buy and sell frequently looking for those sub penny to pound overnight dream stocks. They get impatient at times such as these and move on to the next 'opportunity'.
The sad truth is that most will never find the overnight lottery win and the route to success is finding promising companies and being patient and resistant to volatility or just being in a financial position to have the funds to buy in large volumes when already fairly derisked at a good price point. Luck of course plays a part as so many things can go wrong to even the best companies.
The 35-40 Phase 2 drill hole assay samples were sent to the lab in 2 batches.
The first batch has been in the lab for 3 weeks now. I think Bill will release the results in 2 batches as he did for Phase 1, so we might get the first batch of the results next week.
Phase 2 drilling is much more targeted now they have a better understanding of the iron ore beds.
Therefore, I am expecting even better results than we had from the awesome maiden drilling results.
Plus we might get confirmation of the 90% interest deal for Hamersley next week.
Much as I personally dislike short term traders for adding volatility to an already volatile market, they are just as free to buy and sell as the rest of us.
We just have to accept they exist and deal with it... but if we can encourage them to play elsewhere then so much the better for us LTH who'd prefer a smoother ride.
We continue range bound I suspect, HH. MM’s moved the bid down earlier likely to find any weak hands at 0.8 and didn’t find any so it got moved back up. Any buying pressure will push bid and ask up to try to stir some volume I suspect, perhaps 0.9 - 0.95p range, but don’t expect above 1p until closer to conclusive news now. Not because we shouldn’t be higher, but because we need to build some momentum
HH that's exactly what we want to encourage is investors and not traders! UFO is no pump and dump and to be fair if traders get upset then great hopefully they will get burnt and stay away even when we start to climb (wishful thinking)
Couldn't help myself
@PaulQ - I'd add one proviso to your post, today looks like a firesale price if you have a medium to long term investment horizon.
Those with a very short term attitude may be disappointed if the SP continues to drift for a few more weeks, even then it is hard to imagine it going down much, if at all from here. Nevertheless volumes at the minute are so pitifully low almost any activity could move the SP one way or the other.
Yes I will keep posting mad title headers whilst people start basher threads , todays a fire sale... enjoy
