Pop1980,
I hope you are wrong but if you are then I’ll reload at that price. I need my head examining, but this is my train ride out of my daily grind.
didnt you get any placing shares then being a TP client ? - you must be deighted
This talk of Bill being dishonest is nonsense.
If you listen to his interviews, he told us on 14/10/20:
“If investors say yes lets put another couple million in the pot to really drill one of the Iron Ore projects or Elizabeth Hill or wherever it might be.”
Listen to it yourself before being slanderous:

I get the sourness on the placing..wasn't needed right now or expected. The delivery has been pretty good though given the SP is 1.44/1.49. People will always argue they could have got a better placing price (1.3p) but it was 1.10-1.15 on Thursday at one point. The same investors have bought since 0.30 placing, again at 0.55 and now 1.1. They are feeling pretty supportive of this company going forward. The Commodity price inflation hasn't even started yet.
Valuerebel... No problem here with opportunistic fund raises. Just not classy to say you're "well funded" only days before. Damages credibility. If BBG wants supportive LT investors he'll need to keep a closer eye on opportunistic advisers who may not share his vision. That is all....
StarBright...errr..four successful oversubscribed fund raises and now over £5mm of a cash buffer. An opportunistic fund raise on AIM to satisfy investor demand...who has ever heard of the like?
Thank u so great postive now mire miney they have the more they can do perfect
From RNS 12th Nov:
"The Company remains well funded to carry out its exploration activities with GBP 2m (2.55m USD) in funds as of 31 Oct 2020."
It's not good that the company said this in an RNS on Nov 12th, when work on the placing was likely well advanced. They could have remained silent on funding (as in other recent RNS) but chose not to.
I understand that companies are on AIM in order to raise capital. The placing is probably worthwhile, and looks well-judged in terms of price etc.
However, it's not only about WHAT you do. HOW you conduct yourself matters as well.
If the company wants to be successful in the long run, it will need to raise capital again. At some point it will need to look beyond bucket-shop snatches. What has happened here isn't a good look. Not classy at all.
"944, I'm not suprise it was oversubscribed, it is such excellent value at 1.1p. The price action tells you this."
Indeed, would you like to buy shares in a company at a massive discount to what they are selling at now? LOL, literally a mad man to not take that offer.
944, I'm not suprise it was oversubscribed, it is such excellent value at 1.1p. The price action tells you this.
Like when I placed my house on the market and had 10 viewings booked in 3 days and 2 offers for full asking by the end of the week... I knew I low balled myself.

You are so right people seem to forget so quickly where UFO were.
I remember dropping on the chat board and seeing the odd post very little interest but look now.
Ok so the placement is a surprise but I don’t see a massive impact on the SP in fact I only see lots of buys going on at present and think we may even end the day back where we started or a little better.
Looking to the future I only see good with the DSO in my eyes being the jewel in the crown. If we can negotiate the other 49% to have it 100% owned who know where we could end up. I’m out ramping just stating what I think. All looks good to me but those I just my thoughts.
I also like the idea we were over subscribed for the placing that again can only be a positive .

Turner Pope Investments (TPI) Limited ("Turner Pope") and undertaken with a combination of new and existing Professional and Institutional investors.
Bill Brodie Good, CEO & Technical Director of Alien Metals, commented:
"I am really pleased with the placing result and ongoing strong support from Turner Pope Investments and its clients, including institutional investors.
"The proceeds of this Placing will be utilised to fast-track activities in all our projects and allow us to really advance them all with larger exploration budgets. With the continued strength of silver, iron ore and gold prices, we are excited that with these additional funds we can really fast-track on our projects.
"We are eager to undertake a follow-up work program at the Hamersley Iron Ore projects in the Pilbara region of Western Australia with some maiden drilling; we now have the scope to test additional priority prospects in more detail to materially advance them.
"We continue to push for the award of drill permits in Mexico to pursue our maiden drilling programs on both San Celso and Los Campos Silver projects, which will now be subject to larger programs to further define the potential of the projects.
"The Company looks forward to updating the market on a range of fronts in coming months."
USE OF PROCEEDS FOR WORK PROGRAM
The net proceeds secured from the Placing will fund the 2021 exploration activities and be utilised towards exploration and development of the Company's assets, including the following activities:
Mexico
Placing proceeds will be used to fund maiden drill programs and potentially follow up in-fill programs at both the San Celso and Los Campos silver projects to start developing initial resources for both projects. Metallurgical testing will be factored in as well as for San Celso continuing to add strategic ground contiguous to the project to enhance its potential and ground holding. An initial scoping study is also envisaged for either or both of San Celso and Los Campos, dependent on positive drill results.
Alien will also continue to review other project opportunities that may fit with the Company's strategy and experience within Mexico and surrounding jurisdictions.
Australia
Following finalisation of the digitisation of historical data, the Placing proceeds will be used to update resource modelling and undertake a comprehensive trenching and sampling program at the Elizabeth Hill Silver project with possibility of some initial drilling to follow. Further, the Company is planning to undertake more detailed exploration across the conditionally acquired Exploration Licence ELA 47/4422, which surrounds Elizabeth Hill.
As per the RNS dated 29 October 2020, the Company plans to follow-up on five priority prospects at the Hamersley Iron Ore Projects that were identified for next stage exploration. This program, subject to the fin
So what if they were right ? i just dont understand all this rubbish on here this morning.. this company has £4 million in the bank and "six" yes "six" projects on the go !!
just 8 months ago this company was trading at an MCAP of £2 Million pounds.. daily volume was less than 1 million, on some days there were less than 10 trades.
This company has been TRANSFORMED by Bill Brodie..
Sipp and others- you were right about Placing
but Bill is not a lifestyle man - we have to take this as a softy on the chin and move on though as UFO has good potential
A bit disappointing that we were not given a chance in placing at 1.1 pence
- Also these large amount of placing shares will be on aim on 30th November - so i take it they cannot be forward sold. Can the SP drop by 30th Nov , then unless we have good RNS - me thinking???
Its certainly no lifestyle placing.Look at RMP for that.Funds being used to expand exploration and ultimately increase company value.
Who was it called the placing last week?
Wolster.. im not sure i agree with "lifestyle" language ? A year or so ago I would have done when Bill was flying around the world looking down holes.. I was sceptical and nearly sold out way way lower than the SP is today, I really think that Bill Brodie is a talent at this level. Only time will tell, but 2 / 4 Million doesnt go far when your drilling and paying mulitple costs on multiple projects..
Also we are largely de-risked for another 12 months.
We only need some decent results from one of our projects, and we are off to the races, I am more than happy to see 4 Billion shares by the end of 2021 if it means we are well funded. We have a value return on the first JV next year, for me by end Q1 next year I expect another JV in the bag and a much greater idea of the Mexico / Iron Ore resources.
Bitcoin 14000 and no reason so siliver will boom when trump gone. So lets time begin max placing perfect
Anywho, hopefully there are genuinely no more placings for a long time now. I trust Bill and the team to use that money well, and maybe he has a trick up his sleeve to buy the rest of Hamersley with it ;)
Whoever called it the other day I apologise for telling you you were wrong. I am surprised to be honest, considering we still had £1.8m in the bank and SP was likely on the way up - could most likely have raised the same with a lot less dilution in a few months time.
Not a bad drop by any stretch, but maybe we shouldn't read so much into what Bill drops into his RNS'.
Brodie did mention in either the past interview or one before that if needed to excelerate the company and if he could justify it he would be open to it. He is clearly doing this to advance the silver plays, do in my eyes this is great news. GLA
"Answer: big Yes from me. If you want to invest in companies which don't raise money then don't be on AIM and don't invest in mineral explorers."
Also feel free to invest without any rush, till the lifestyle placings have all landed & the drill results actually mean something, let the discount placer investors take the risks, not us punters.
Oh no!
The placing has caused the buy price to drop by 0.03p
MMs making bank off of the weak hands with the spread.
I wouldnt mind using the dip as a chance to top up if the spread wasn't so big....
