Hi minjin
I never held sxx, Bamps told me it had been bought by AA (and he made money on it). Think 5.5p is about 50% up on prev price.
I am in a similar situation with the sale of nano but hoping for a much better result. Sp around 12 to 13, but hoping for 10 times that, or more. Nano holds ground breaking IP and was not forced into a sale by cash issues.
It all depends on how some massive companies (Apple, Samsung...) value nano's IP, so value could be 5 to 500.
Very, very risky investment, so don't blame me, but a possible opportunity to get your money back.

I thought I was in SM BB for a sec. I have sold my shares, left that chat and is trying to erase that company from my memory but it keeps popping up. So much for thinking can leave that chat and simply stop talking Sirius. Nige it a done deal. AA made a formal offer 5.5p all the is left it for the LTH swallow the pride and accept by vote yes to sell for a big lost or vote no and get nothing ~\_(-_-)_/~
simple Bamps - Toyah :-)
Hi Nige
Queen perhaps!
Seeing as it's quiz time who did "Sheep farming in Barnet"
:)))))
Hi Nige,
Certainly not the reason for my optimism but can see builders SP's improving over the next 6 months until uncertainty regards future trade deals or extension to transition come more to the fore. The economy is not far from recession and even retail is suffering : https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-51161808
' The market thinks less risk now ' - but you've always been saying the market is stupid !!!
BoL
Thanks Bamps
Sxx Sp increased from 3.7 to 5.5 = Inc 49%, pretty generous, now 5.4.
When confirmed I will delete them from my watch list, and another one bites the dust.
Shame, some time ago Anglo owned Boulby Potash, not far from Sirius Ops.
Who set up Sxx, and how much have they taken out of the Coy, when they no doubt knew it would fail?
Probably get into trouble for this message again, but doesn't really bovver me, too much at all.
Different song ending, "Anyway the Wind Blows." Bet you can't think of both, or all 3?

Hi Troubles
The Optimism was caused by BoJo becoming PM as opposed to Corbyn. Whether that is justified or not doesn't matter, the market thinks less risk now and why are we valuing builders so far behind all other Companies in terms of Per? Their fundamentals are so much better!
So hopefully, a major revaluation of Builders is in progress (but will take a long time). Price 212 , Eps about 21.4 so Per about 10.
On another Board (bwy I think), somebody made the point that if builders were in line with other companies, their Per's should be about 15.0, inferring a 50% inc in Sp = 317. Some time ago I said that a return to PreBrxit levels of 13.0 infers Sp of 285, but also that the fundamentals of builders are so much better than Ftse100 (or anywhere else), that justifiable Per for builders is 25.0, infers Sp of 530.
Doesn't matter very much, cos they will remain undervalued for years, so we can keep on picking up massive Divis, while growth stabilises at about 10%.
I have now decided chasing Divis doesn't work, and chasing Sp growth is far better. Last results show tw doing well and psn still sorting themselves out. Think good idea to get into bdev before IntRes (05/02/20), but I could be wrong again.

I don't really believe in cliques.
I think everyone can be friends with everyone - mmmm, maybe not !!!
Anyway, I'm the boss of my own s__t.
Hi TomE
It all sounds a bit cliquey. By all means jabber away. You're obviously very good at it.
RR, Hi, " courteous "
Well keep to those boards and stop criticising TW member, Thank you. We are quite happy on here talking amongst ourselves and if you want to join in you are welcome but don't tell people what to post Simple. GOT IT.
Have a nice W/e
Tom :-)
Hello TomE
I was merely being courteous in replying to Bamp's response. I'm not telling anyone what to say, but if someone is looking for advice about a particular share, then surely the logical place to discuss it is in that share's BB. It's not as if SM is even vaguely connected to house building shares. There are some BBs where you have to scroll through pages of extraneous chit-chat before you can find anything relevant. I don't think there is any harm in a bit of social chin-wagging, but if that's your thing, there are plenty of platforms better suited to it.
RogueRiver hi, are you the poster that requested only yesterday " Please can we leave Sirius discussions to the Sirius BB " WHY do you bring up the same subject again ???
If members mention another company while the board is quite what is wrong with that. If you don't like it don't read it as everyone is entitled to have their opinion and talk freely. This is a very friendly board so why tell people what to say, its doing no harm at all.
Chill
Hello Bamps
The majority of BBs here are 'quiet'. Discussion tends to occur when there is something significant to say regarding the share, company or sector in question. I can assure you that if you want to discuss Sirius Minerals you'll never be short of conversation in the SM BB, 24/7!
Hi Nige,
Think your analysis is reasonable and hoping for circa 220 myself - unusually feeling more positive - maybe it's just the prospect of good weather ahead.
Clear skies today and out all day over Latrigg, skirting Lonscale Fell and Blencathra.

Hi Nige
That web site is old stuff, Anglo American have put an offer in of 5.5p which has been accepted as far as I know and there seems no likely hood of a counter bid.
I told my friend last year who had bought in to get out at 27p, not sure whether he did he went quiet.
I bought in before the permission was granted and sold out on achieving it. I couldn't see how a small company could possibly fund.
Since then a rival potash firm has stated they believe the size of the potash market for the sales SXX require isn't there.
Hi Rogueriver I take your point about this being for TW news but most of the year we have no news and this board would go very quiet without the banter .
I've made some profits by listening to others here.
Went to Upton yesterday for a lunch in a pub by the River Severn, very unnerving when a boat comes passed higher than where we were. The river is still rising , roads not cut off yet, lets hope for a dry week
ATB:))
Thanks Troubles
Tells me everything I want to know - reckon it will either collapse or be saved.
Worth keeping an eye on if saved, but don't see much payback even if saved, Anglo will pay maybe Sp + 30%, Govt loan better option cos no takeover and in long term it could flourish. Completely different from nano.
That's why I put the question here, so I could get a response from someone I know and respect.
Btw, Just found out bdev not publishing PreInts any more, IntRes 05/02/20 (according to LSE) which I think should be good. Already have 45% float there and 18% up on float (bought 25/11/19 at 672).
According to my very speculative analysis, if bdev Sp increases by 5% after IntRes, tw should increase by about 2 1/2 %, = 5.3 so Sp 217.7 then, but the general trend is +ve, so 5.3% more than Sp on 05/02/20, (barring Bombs).
Cold but good walking weather. Little wind and sunny. Hope you have some good walks.

Hi Nige - Doesn't the article above give a fair view of the present situation - especially regards funding issues.
Sorry for the expression, but ' doesn't appear to be the brightest star in the sky ATM '.
Hoping TW hits 215 soon and moves onto 230 over next few weeks barring bombshells etc....
Have a great weekend - some decent weather for next few days, at least.

Anyone any opinions here?
Personally I think Govt cannot let them go bust (Northern Industry, and a change in emphasis), and Anglo on verge of buying them.
Always kept out cos tunnelling, shafts... usually costs far more than expected, and no guaranteed resources. How could they plan this without guaranteed finance?
Can't be bovvered to read thru all the posts, but could be an opportunity, bit like Nano (but much more hopeful about Nano.)
