SP almost blue
Even even worse the bitcoin guy who transfered 0.5.m to a black.hole account due to a mistype
Uk growth shares seem to be mostly ignoring the US rise today and yest.
SoftBank WILL take up their option - they won't be passing this opportunity up.
AutoStore going into THG strategic locations.... who has a major hold of AutoStore.... SoftBank
They will take up - don't worry
"So you don't actually are able to practice what you preach." - in time I feel I will be right. But you want to die with your shares so I don't see what point you're making here. Sometimes you seem to forget your own point
""If returns aren’t going via store they will charge. " "They will either charge or change, not necessarily charge" you missed off my entire point here. The point was all the FIXED costs that come with online for return processing. These costs need to wash their face or they are a hit to profit. They are a certain value if you do £10 of online sales of £1m of online sales. After a certain amount they scale. So Shoe will have to be adding all these fox costs (probably why they are slashing the stores). So they add all this costs and then they have to keep it and hope it gather the customers which are now no longer able to get to a store. So I asked you what have you modelled for all this cost (you claim to have done a model)
Even if stores come back these costs stay as they are a fixed costs for online operating. So whats in the model
"They know their customers better than Artificially acquired intelligence, this is intelligence passed down generations, they forefathers, dads, grandads were all in the same business" well I'll go and ask the lady in shoe in Manchester city centre how much she knows about me? What will the answer be?
"https://www.pfscommerce.com/dtc/" - where is the website build? It's third party. Where is content management system? They don't do it. Where is localisation? Not there. Where is the warehouse to Asia? UK and US only.
But again you're changing your point. Your point was that THG was just a system integrator and that any business can do this themselves. Instead you give me an example of actually the NEED for an ingenuity. So penetration of the service is actually better than I knew! Thanks for sharing. This is great
You're changing your point
nuemrous options open to THG including buybacks, director step in and buy more, take private etc and an incling of any news on these fronts will send the share price much higher imv, don't let the shorts scaremongering affect you.

I'm not. i bought at 220 odd and took a loss. That is factual, it is a dog. So.. answer the question and help me understand what I missed. Down 30% and you think I'm a troll for asking for help to understand why I took that loss. ****ing ridiculous, this is the trouble with these boards, not supporting each other. Perhaps if we did we wouldn't be facing 30% loss! Fing idiot.
I'm ****ed at a share that made me take a loss so I'm a troll.. fml ****ing joker. The people buying at 6 quid on a loss are trolls cos they think its a loss right? Grow up man
The share didn't make you sell. That was a choice. There was and is the option of holding for recovery as the world moves on and this works back toward its true value (wherever people peg that... its not down here).
As I said.. where is the evidence? I have asked for people to explain why. I even asked for help and I get called a troll.. lol jokers.. down 30% in just no time you would thi k people would want to work on the problem to get the facts not just spout random sayings of "true value". Kimmy. You know I like you kimmy but come on why can't they help each other? Explain why we won't see it halve again ... that's the point right???
Not fear at all, and forget the lost money. This is basic facts that from what I can see that made me cut my losses. I am asking for help to figure this out. Why are you all so happy that this is down 30% time after time? why are you not working on this problem of true value? the company made 700m profit in H1 so H2 call it the same yet somehow manages to lose 50p per share overall. HOW do you not want to understand this? what would be to stop another 60p drop to 60p next year? equally why wouldn't we be selling the house and kids and pets to load up cos hey billions in profit!!!
not having a go at anyone or the share well I am questioning why people are not interested in why they are losing money.

133.99 close, so creeping up
Still a long way to go until back in any kind of profit (208), but slowly slowly….
Insider, my take on why we are down is that the balance of risk to reward is only attractive to investors around £1.30. But what has changed you might ask? Recently tech has slipped from favour and interest rate rises will reduce spending power hitting all retailers , e.g JD sports etc. So a double whammy since christmas. Before christmas we had the well documented governance issues/ shorters report and an analysts meeting debacle all of which hurt sentiment. Where next ? Obviously up because it is one of the cheapest growth stocks AND has plans o sort out the governanc. Time to buy not sell imv.
Taverham And i would just like to add that the LSE has not seen the growth other stock market have enjoyed these last few years ( Brexit ) . But apparently these last couple of week investors are starting to look again at UK stock because they have been over looked. THG was perhaps unfortunate to IPO mid pandemic, this year they will emerge with a stronger identity and purpose. IMO
Thanks Taverham, just working the figures out with someone and I had missed capex at 300m so that is something. I am still at a loss though but working through it as I say to see what I am missing here.
The profits appear to be huge so I just cant wrap my head around it :(
UT was 129.70p
All in all, we are still near all time lows...
When this shifts a gear north... unlike PFC and MTRO (all tarnished with bad news), we should hopefully do a GFS/BP style recovery!
THG massive upside for me here!
Insider knowledge - are you new to investing on the stock market? It would be a mistake to persevere to make logic of some market swings. It's generally a game with rules set and played by the big boys to take money from PIs. All we can do is our due diligence then place our bets, try not to be swayed by the immediate influence they have on the SP, it's a game that is stacked against the lowly PI that we shall not win if we allow our heightened emotions to make our decisions. Good luck.
Nope not new. Just having a few weeks fed up of the markets being rigged as you say and fed up of being called a troll cos I want to see what I have missed. I think that urks me more than the money tbh.
You are right in your statement it is rigged against us PIs. If they lose they just call too big to fail and will ask for bail outs or next time bail ins. Oh and look who pays that as well its average Joe.
Lol I'm starting to develop an alternative persona.. I'm turning I to MM lol
Sorry for the rant earlier guys, I'm not anti thg, genuinely just looking for answers. Kim helped take a look with .e earlier and danl set me on the track as well. Didn't get an answer but interesting I guess is the obscurity that comes up from brokers was the final outcome IMHO which explains the drop relative to the EPS. Alarm bells rang when they keep talking EBITDA and no profit on 2 billion of sales.
Anyway, sorry for asking people to look I to it. I guess that's why it's called DYOR after all.
Night night.
Don't worry about it, I'm sure we have all had our frustrations with the THG share price. When I'm feeling like that about a stock I reassess the numbers, projections, value metrics etc which in this case is assuring.
Insider I think you’re perfectly right. If others can’t help it’s because they usually don’t know (this is like the boohoo board). They then confuse this asking questions, which scared them as they don’t know the answer, as deramping
They should be happy to help to get another investor onboard
Insider,
the 700m gross profit you are referring to is easily explained - about 600m of that is on admin (salaries and operating expenses) and distribution costs. there was something lie £150m ish in ebitda in the results you are referring to and out of that about £50m was depreciation - there has been massive investment alongside this at the same time BUT this is all in the plan which they have the cash to fund so it's not really anything that's not already been accepted and bought into previously by shareholders hence the price going to 700+ with this all being known. If your invested in this stock it's on the basis of most of the jam tomorrow (in terms of profits and maybe dividends at least) and whether this stock performs is on the basis most investors believing management will deliver on this. For me, the price is too low and for all the previously stated reasons by those on here this has taken a kicking as those issues have been amplified beyond their actual real world impact (although we've all seen sentiment crush stocks in the short term) . I agree with most on here that one of 3 things will happen 1. the dust will settle over the next few months, announcements will be made and the share price will at least double from these levels. 2. there will be some significant corporate action that will drive the price up quickly. 3. the management are misleading everyone and this will continue to fall (I'm not one who thinks this is the case btw.)
@Insider look mate it’s no fun losing money but as the saying goes ‘markets can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent’. ii love getting the retail investors to sell out on emotion at the bottom & guess what up up up it goes!! This is a great company guilty of being a bit naive more than anything MM being genuine & wearing his heart on his sleeve ended up him saying things that should have been left alone. He’s learning about being a public company boss and since the GQ outburst he’s got his head down kept his mouth shut and smashed the numbers. Small FX margin miss is not worth another 30% drop. Ride it out ignore the noise & enjoy the ride up when it eventually comes & it will for sure IMO. Long term holder…
