How long before the Royal Navy, its European counterparts and the tech giants start to pay vast retainers to Tekmar to be on call for them to repair our vulnerable undersea infrastructure? We know Russian vessels are scoping our critical electrical and internet cabling and would cut them to disrupt our economy in the event of escalation in current geopolitical tensions. There aren’t many other businesses than Tekmar who could ride to the rescue at a moment’s notice.

Surprised sp hasn't moved a lot higher on such excellent news. I remember Plexus which is a similar business rose significantly on similar news. Early days but BoD sounds very upbeat and market is bound to rerate the sp sooner rather than later.
AIMHO
Ironknut yes thanks. Was in this for awhile but sold last year. Been meaning to get back bit by bit.
Well P119 hope my comments prove of long term value to you both. This seems to me a company with a future whose sp has suffered due to AIM being out of favour with investors at present.
Ironknut your post caught my eye on Friday so read up the Agm rns. My friend and I both bought a small amount.
Thanks
Positive Final Results and prediction of return to profit. Since then steady fall in the sp.

This should be over 50% by now, with £6mil worth of contracts.
'These contract awards support order intake of approximately £23 million in the financial year to date.'
Current MC £13.6mil.
Big contract awards for a small company like this very encouraging..

That's better...! Thank you, universe.
But still, contract win vs MCAP - should be comfortably (and conservatively) around 15 - 16 way in the very short term. Tekmar is the very definition for an AIM-listed company, if all things were equal and as they should be.
...and barely a twitch.
Honestly, this is one of the strangest shares I've ever been in. One of the very best in terms of fundamentals - but the strangest in terms of market reaction to good news.
So it goes. Bags are long packed, waiting patiently for a 2 - 3x. GLA.

strongly agree with you, @porter_.
1. a few points to add: undersea cables are being laid at an exponential rate by tech titans seeking proprietary internet infrastructure.
2. ‘russia’ (the inverted commas are because the kremlin denies it, just as they denied the troop build-up on the ukraine border 🙄)m is chopping up cables wherever it thinks it can get away with it.
3. the uk royal navy and raf have recently invested in coastal-patrol capabilities to protect the digital and energy infrastructure that serve our island. installation and maintenance of that infrastructure is the domain of the private sector.
4. despite having to reduce the returns to energy co.s at auction, the uk continues to invest heavily in offshore-wind capacity.
these factors mitigate in favour of either a.) a tech titan, b.) the mod or govt or c.) a big yield-hunting investor either i.) providing massive maintenance contracts, or ii.) launching a takeover bud.
so solid are the fundamentals that porter_ has already set out below (for which reason i shan’t rehe**** them here) and so clear is the chart, that i would personally vote against anything less than 116p for my shares. this little gem is that good.

- Housekeeping done on 100% acquisition of partial owned company.
- Big contracts coming in.
- Set to move into profit following big acquisitions and covid bump.
- Energy industry booming.
- Massive lack of skilled workers in other engineering companies, with Tekmar equipped to pick up the works.
- Patents galore.
- Global offices, contracts and collaborative relationships.
- Engineering companies being snapped up in the industry.
Ready for a massive takeover IMO.

Excellent news - and news that, in the case of most AIM rubbish, would garner a far more significant increase that it has so far. Still, preferable to be here than in those.
Around 18p+ is genuine fair value here, IMO.
250k to move it up, less than 50k to drop it again, almost every time, heavily manipulated quiet stock
Agreed but a proper hidden gem that moves quickly on little volume. Far prefer that to some jam-tomorrow hole in the ground somewhere.
I think this is good value but it's such a quiet stock nobody seems to play it unless its' up 20% from time to time
Might be time for a run lots of nibbles and NT to buy at 12p
Nice 107k buy delayed before the close there at 12.4p

Will be interesting to see what this quarters results bring.

Contract revenue is not the problem here, it's the fact that the company loses money on most contracts it signs.

Short version - Judas has received his bag of silver and hopped off into the sunset. Company has been pilferaged by the BOD to a tune of 139% share dilution. They’ve known about this scheme since last year and let shareholders continue investing, oblivious to their devious plan. Final chapter sees the introduction of new Kings to reign over the lands, yet reads hostile takeover to the mortal loyal peasants. The end.
I've read shorter novels than that RNS!!
Makes the Gettysburg Address seem like a short kids nursery rhyme!
No idea if it's content will be good or bad news to the SP as I fell back to sleep after chapter 36!!

News on a Friday? normally not favoured so could be into next week now.
Sometimes a good talk through good and bad can help everyone, even the diehard LTHs. The market is not seeing the potential here short term at least. This is clear to me.
If you’re asking others for advice on those things, perhaps this isn’t the share for you… DYOR.
Where will the share price go with 30% dilution at 9p? Do you have an idea of what Monday brings?

Hopefully a company as interesting as Siemens
Its been a long wait. Or maybe just feels like it because of the endless 8.5's rns'
If nothing Monday I'll be ticked off
Enough already
Have seen Siemens mentioned but assume that would be too good to be true
Investment from a partner that can provide significant distribution would really see the SP climb. The additional 14 days is probably just to get the contract signed off within what is presumably a large (slow moving) corporate.
How do you know? Could be another week? They are stalling for time it seems. Tekmar seems very keen so who knows what will happen...
News Monday

Yes the extension on the extension runs out on the 13th. Hopefully see a nice rise before the news
News expected by the 13th isn't it? Be interesting to see what the market thinks of any news coming if there is a climb in the share price all next week.
I hope not they put the company up for sales months ago. Some big contracts since. Company is undervalued and a rerate is in order
I do hope they, pick up speed,
I’m thinking they will say, we had some interest, we want more.
Very slow. I think everyone is just waiting on news now

Jeremy Hunt has revealed that the UK is sitting on an energy goldmine, as wind power has generated record amounts of energy in the past year. In a keynote speech at Bloomberg's European headquarters in London, the Chancellor delivered an upbeat message as he unveiled his plan to turbocharge Britain's economy.
Mr Hunt hailed the UK's renewable energy industry as a "big growth area", which he estimates could be worth a trillion pounds by the end of the decade.

GL
Based on the last available accounts we can set up the following calculations:
Current assets(£m) = 29.32
Non-current assets excl. intangibles(£m) = 5.42
Current liabilities(£m) = 14.97
Non-current liabilities(£m) = 3.77
Number of shares(m) = 60.96
Tangible equity(£m) = 16.00 (27 pence/share)
Net-current asset value(£m) = 10.6 (18 pence/share)
Tekmar Plc consists of 5 subsidiaries. By estimating what each company is worth we can do a sum of the parts calculations of the company:
Ryder Geotechnical Ltd (£m) = 0.7
AgileTek Engineering Ltd (£m) = 1.7
Subsea Innovation Ltd (£m) = 6.3
Pipeshield International Ltd (£m) = 4.2
Tekmar Energy Ltd (£m) = 31.2
Net-current asset value(£m) = 10.6
Value(£m) = 54.7 (90 pence per share)
As a summary we can say the following:
Liquidating price = 18 pence per share
Tangible equity = 27 pence per share
Price in a “normal” market = 90 pence per share.
In my opinion selling shares at 9pence to the institutional investor seems like a bad decision from the management. The best thing will be to scrap the deal. They have won several large contracts recently, and with a good execution of the contracts we might be able to see green numbers on the bottom line and a share price considerably higher than today.
