That's tomorrow then? What else does your crystal ball impart? Do the yanks bring bags of gold?
The yanks are coming Wedensday. ..
Good start to the week ... Plenty of buys going through. Hopefully we'll follow last weeks daily pattern with the majority of buys coming in the PM, presumably from the US .... could be a very interesting afternoon..
If a buy out of SEVUS from tanfield is on the cards surely it's worth at least 100mill + and we would be offered free shares in SEVUS i.e. Similar to the original offer except the value has increased significantly. The potential of SEVUS is so massive. Would some sort of voting not be fair by the tan share holders?
I think the "renewed speculation" bit refers to when Smith US originally bought out the parent company (except Tanfield retained what was 49% at the time).
I don't think so!!!! Also it states renewed speculation, this is the first time I have seen this report, so where was it released previously, any offers?
Have they got this right? Tanfield Group , the electric vehicle maker, rose 12.2 per cent to 41½p amid renewed speculation that it might be a takeover target for its US associate, Smith Electric Vehicles US. In response to the share move, Tanfield said late in the session that Smith Electric was marketing an offering of new shares “to fund the continuing development of the business.” http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/6fd53f48-cfe0-11e0-a1de-00144feabdc0.html#axzz1WA6HOKCG
I've just looked up BHR and seen the RNS. Bummer! But maybe you're actually going to make more out of your Sync purchase in the end. Stuff like that happens to me all the time. Everytime I switch shares the one I went in goes down and the one I just left goes up. MTV went back down again today!. I think these things are sent to test our spirit - just like the dross that arrives on these bb's every now and then. Why people encourage them I just don't know. Anyway, have a good weekend. It's italian night again tonight and I've been fasting today so I'm starving!!
As Tanfield own a larger percentage of SEV you thought they would have to RNS us straight away about a placing, rather than just responding to the share price movement. I know SEV don't have to report, but what SEV does materially affects the share price of TAN so they should have to RNS us about these things WHEN they happen, not as an afterthought.
I see the old f*rt ftse is throwing his two-penneth worth in on the other board. It's amazing how disloyal some people are, I think they just enjoy seeing other people insulted as long as it's not them. Call me old fashioned....
I thought they hadn't fully filled the last placing? Wouldn't another placing send the share price down - more dilution. I find this share baffling.
Looks like most of the buying has been by US investors.
The Board of Tanfield notes the recent movement in the Company's share price. The Company's US associate, Smith Electric Vehicles US ("SEVUS"), is marketing an offering of new shares to fund the continuing development of the business.
Looking good and SYNC taking off as well .... Bank Holiday madness LOL
Only 30 EV transit connect s sold in 2010, and only 300 orders this year. looks like it was a smart move to get out of Ford deal, and market is growing for commercial EV`s http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2011/08/25/BU7I1KRF10.DTL
Looks like you called it right, but if true why hasn't the rumour hit the internet yet after 3 days?
If it is US investors, then I think we can assume that they've got wind of SEV making a significant announcment in the near future. A lot of 'ifs' but the SP has risen sharply in the last few days on good volume in contrast to other AIM stocks where volumes are very thin.
The last 2 days have seen significant buying after 13 00. So if my theory, that it's US investors that are doing the buying, is correct then we should see the buys coming in again after lunch ... their breakfast. That may well indicate that US investors are trying to get a piece of SEV through TAN.
To be honest I felt 40p would offer resistance against falls, but unsure if this is a corrective rise or speculative... I guess time will tell.
In the last few days we've had a lot of buying in the PM .... could this be from the US ... and if so do they know something about SEV ... I wonder.
very nice finding..........................it looks like snorkel order book is recovering well..............still i think the market not taking to tanfield shares because of privius bad trust, the mangement need to report more often, and if the information will be positive maybe new bridges can be build..............the current sp is well too low IMHO and hopefully will start to move up very soon.............ATB....................
