Hi applegarth,
You guessed right, I have added SYEM to my portfolio recently, only after some positive reporting from the likes of Zak on Share talk, and proactive investors etc. After having a look at the Business Model of the company, I made the decision of jumping onboard.
I see a good future for the company. I do question the profit the company is actually making since March. If anyone can point me to the source of this info that would be great.
Other than that, I have a decent holding here and looking to increase that over time depending on how well the rest of the portfolio performs.

I believe AZ should issue another RNS disparaging TW's scathing attacks against SYME. This us why he most probably won't.. They are fully aware of TW ..who in business wouldn't have heard of him. The scourge of AIM, TW goes in heavy with his shorts knowing full well that onr day someone will take the bull by the horns and sue his r/se off. But guess what? I don't think TW gives a gnat's knacker if he gets sued. Firstly he lnows it will be costly to initiate a law suit and so far THUS he has gotten away with it. He becomes relentless in his quest to drag the share price down to the point of publishing scathing and possibly libelous articles. If he was sued or if he got his way at our expense he would have enough money and PUBLICITY that he would not care which way a law suit went. It's known as the "Mirror Effect"... "We lose and pay out but look at the newspaper sales"
He is gambling on human nature that weak holders will sell out...which can have a reciprocating effect of triggering 'stop losses'. More investors lose and he wins. If on the other had a company challenges him with a stern warning to stop his scathing attacks "OR ELSE"
I think he may call their bluff and create a situation of stale mate. The companies he attacks do not want a long drawn out lawsuit that will cost millions and possible stepping down of the Nomad and Directors or suspension.
The best way to handle TW is first we MUST get a positive news update and quick. And for investors ti be counter negative to TW'desperate ramps. He can and will be put firmly in his place once and for all if he loses this battle with Syme. Investors should ignore him and keep the faith. He can be beaten but as i say...this man is relentless, he may keep bouncing back until he gets his short off?
Hi calamari,
In football, there's a saying : play the ball, not the man. If/when you do the latter, it's a tacit admission that you've been bettered....and have to resort to violence, physical or verbal.
Sounds familiar, no ;-> ?
Someone on lse asked ..".."Let’s see an independent list of companies with facts backing it up that TW has correctly called out in all his years for fraud.."
You'd have to go to his site to see HIM make these calls, iGas, Globo and Quindell, to name an easy 3 from memory. I'm not suggesting anyone do that ( I agree with the general sentiment that he appears to be a pretty unpleasant /unfortunate person), that doesn't make him wrong.
So, for anyone interested in DYOR :
(1)Re iGas, see hxxps://www.rolandhead.com/oil-gas/igas-energy-plc-keeps-digging-as-ceo-austin-defends-equity-first-deal/
If you go through this, you'll see why AZ was quick to emphasize in the 30/7 Proactive interview why the 1AF2 'loans agst pledged shares' was different.
(2) Re Globo plc , see hxxp://masterinvestor.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/GBO-report-super-final.pdf
If you go through this, you'll see in passing their negative observation re RTO's and opaque shareholding structures.
(3) Re Quindell , see https://www.ft.com/content/54049ad4-68b7-11e4-af00-00144feabdc0.
TW was involved in calling these 3 out, as was JakNife, Paul Scott (paulypilot/s tockopedia) and various others.
Time spent on reconnaissance is seldom wasted ! Hope some out there find this of interest.

Extrader, so in summary, in a long winded way, you are saying that you think that this company/the CEO is some sort of fraud?
Hi applegarth,
.."TW goes in heavy with his shorts knowing full well that onr day someone will take the bull by the horns and sue his r/se off. But guess what? I don't think TW gives a gnat's knacker if he gets sued. .."
I think you're right, for two reasons :
- the Private Eye argument : 'we've got no assets you can take in satisfaction';
- the wrestling with a pig argument : 'Don't. You both end up muddy, but the pig enjoys it !'

You seen the price of Woodford share this year? He would have been one of the most successful fund managers going had he not been outed by the likes of Tvvat
Again i will link this litigation case for those interested in seeing his tactics.

Extrader, many a true word there,
Hi jonesrichard,
If I say to you 'all swans are white' 'in this case "TW is a fraud and always wrong", all you have to do is show me a black swan to prove me wrong.
Somebody made that claim about him. All I've done is show that TW isn't ALWAYS wrong.
You take it from there, DYOR and make up your own mind.
FWLIW, I think SYME has great potential (potential being the operative word), but has got ahead of itself in a number of areas.

Extrader I'm enjoying your analysis and would agree there is ample reason to tread carefully here. I don't believe though that Susanne Chishti, Enrico Camerinelli and Dominic White would be involved in the company if they had doubts surrounding the business model as they have excellent reputations to consider.
Oh extrader I thought the green flag waving AZ had you turning . But no here you are lowering the high standard of posting you are normally know for ..
Disappointed in you
Hi Isalogistics,
..."Susanne Chishti, Enrico Camerinelli and Dominic White would be involved in the company if they had doubts surrounding the business model as they have excellent reputations to consider..."
Consider this Board of Directors : "George Schultz, former Secretary of State, Henry Kissinger, former Secretary of State, General Jim Mattis, former head of US Central Command and former Secretary of Defense, Richard Kovacevich, former CEO and Chairman of Wells Fargo, Sam Nunn, former US Senator, and Bill Frist, former US Senator and heart surgeon..."

I learned long ago (not Theranos) to set no store by a BoD with impressive CV's and connections.

I am pretty sure TW was behind that article knowing full well AZ would have to issue this morning's disclaimer. Which seems to have been counter productive ..believing there would be a massive sell off...which so far, didn't happen.
Question is..how much does TW stand to lose when he closes out AND more importantly what the f/ck will he do next?
C'MON AZ get that greasy finger out and Update us PRONTO?
Calamari get lost you are deramper!!! BOOM coming Folks!!!
The figures wuoted in that article wete so ridiculously high that he knew a quick response TNS was innevitable. After all IF Zthe figured were more realistic...it would have been highly probable that the Rns might have bern less negative saying "While we disagree with the contents of thr article...the figures qoted are avhievable in time"....?
So it was deliberately worded to force a disclaimer and a massive sell off ?
Sorry for typos..using an old phone

Only TW and his bunch of goons would come up with that article...what next?

Hi apunter2,
Well, I try to keep the high moral ground (witness my 1309 reply re 'quality of Board' as some kind of endorsement re the underlying), so naturally your 'disappointment' is a concern.
If I'd wanted to play 'dirty pool' , I'd have drawn attention to the contrast between high quality CV's and indifferent business record by referring to one of SYME 's own original investors.
Now you'll have to PM me if you want a name...and then DYOR ;->
