Are u some kind of wally ? :-)
I took the opportunity to top up across various accounts. I agree a date for the new Epic to take effect should have been given.
Manipulation by the Market Makerts to make even more cash. **** takers walk all AIM share prices down whenever they can!
thanks Nicke and morgui that's really helpful.
does anyone know if there is also a telegram group going for holders?
The share price drop is an odd anomaly. I wouldn't bet against one or two holders not doing the sums correctly for the shareholder consolidation and selling based on a miscalculation. It sounds a bit patronising but I would never rule out basic stupidity.
The leading brokers such as iii and HL are not allowing trading in STAR and hopefully once the share price will correct to and beyond pre-consolidation levels. I do think the advisors have been remiss in not ensuring that investors are aware of the precise timescales for STAR to become TRAC and tradable across all platforms.
I think this share price weakness is just a temporary technical blip and once TRAC is tradable the anomaly will be corrected. There is a lot to look forward to here . STAR has aways looked under-valued against peers and now that TRAC will be firmly pitched in the IOT and SAAS tech sectors, then that under-value is likely be snapped up by savvy small cap investors. Contract news should help as well!
In my experience the share price always drops after a consolidation. I don't know why.
I'm a very recent investor , last week, and I'm trying to get a handle on the way the price has declined so rapidly since I bought in. I saw it mentioned that some platforms aren't allowing a purchase with the change to TRAC not yet completed. Anyone any definate info on that. AJ Bell are allowing purchases no problem. It's only a starter position I took but to be down a third in a few days trading is still stiff. Any input on the price movement from old hands here would be appreciated.
Looking at the bottom of the AGM RNS, it would appear that a new PR company has been employed. Very impressive looking website and an established list of clients.... https://yellowjerseypr.com/
Is this the final trade on starcom prior to TRAC taking over? Not been involved in a company changing its name / ticker before and wondered if what we’ve witnessed today is the final exchanges of the old shares.
Looking forward to hopefully seeing an RNS in the morning with details of what’s next in the pipeline.
They said they would announce when live.
#TRAC
Anybody know to new ticker code relating to the new name ? Should be active tomorrow I would have thought .

Hi HunkyMonkey
First post ever for me here though I have followed the stock for a while. Some background on me for context on my follow on opinion, I've spent over a decade working in tech so can talk to that side of things and therefore I'm no good at predicting short term share price moves.
That said a couple of things I wanted to share with the community:
re the new name:
"42" as many of you stated is due to the book/ film series 'a hitchhikers guide to the galaxy' where a future civilisation builds a super computer strong enough to calculate the precise meaning of life. 100 years after asking the computer the question it finishes calculating and spits out "42". Now that we have cloud computing many people joke we now have the super computer that can do this calculation, many companies therefore adopt 42 as a sort of short-hand/jargon to alert people to the concept that they are a trendy cloud company. So the new name is really "trendy jargon-trendy jargon- tracking solutions".
Re: Crop X
It seems to me that after their last round of funding and due to the pandemic they are on a competitor-acquisition spree. This could be very bad for us if they determine their acquired tech is better than their own (which it may be as acquisitions are determined by shareprice + liquidity this early in a companies lifecycle less to do with the underlying tech). So it could go either way, that said it'd surprise me if CropX retires their signature product range so quickly, more likely they will dual run two options. The below deal also doesn't surprise me as when they bought their competitor this was their major customer so it makes sense they would want to negotiate to keep the sales.
Re: the future
Looking at the current BoD and the Non-Exec they seem to have a history in developing companies and then selling them, which can be very good for us shareholders. I suspect this is what is driving the consolidation, business jargon new name, website and so forth. It very much is a B2B company. Having worked with several large multinationals I do know if they like the tech of a company this small they are more likely to buy the company and 'own' the tech (stop competitors getting it) over placing a multi million dollar orders with them.

Thoughts on this generally and impact on trac? Do you read as though they are using the bucket test connectivity, or indeed cropx who bought it will implement the procedure into theirs/ours?
Yes, you can on IG.
