“ With so many apparently attractive prospects in its Ecuador exploration portfolio, I suggested some 5 years ago that unless SOLG separated them out for investors, so that the exploration costs for one wouldn’t damage the attractions of those earlier into production, investors would be wary of the resulting drag on the shares. So it has turned out. Solgold’s founder insisted on building a multi-asset miner like the big boys and resisted all such suggestions. Now he has been forced to concede to a new management, which having gone half-way towards promising to spin some projects off separately has now, while merging with Cornerstone to gain its full ownership, effectively put Cascabel (if not the whole company) up for sale.
How much it might fetch is problematic, but it must be more than Solgold’s £375m market cap, given Cascabel’s $5.2bn NPV (lower after current cost rises) and despite its initial capital cost now down to $2.75bn for the latest cut-down 2022 plan”
Slug didn't you say this was gonna be a big week in Song last weekend? What happened?
Cornford makes the mistake of ignoring the real size of the asset. Remember the 21%?
Yeah yeah , bring it on. Will SOLG be 2p at the starting gun? Or 6p? You guys talk total carp. Wasn't there an old saying about the market can stay irrational far longer than we can stay solvent?
Here it is in play.
No perse it has to do with the fact that this is an anonymous BB with no consequence s for posting irrelevant chit chat that would be far better suited to the bird ... Oh and also the fact that what gets posted here makes absolutely not one hot of difference to the value of solg ! A wide demographic with far too much time on their hands. What is the saying about the devil and idle hands lolzzz
Goodnight all
It would be even more stupid to sell a stock just before a takeover, you would still be entitled to moan about it though, if you are not happy with the management.
For all your intelligence perse, you don't do grey areas very well do you?
Orion
What is your issue with using green energy?
If you can drive around and heat your property, using clean energy, I don’t see the issue?
You only have two issues? You could have fooled me! If you jumped on the couch they would have a field day.....lol.
You can’t have your cake and eat it.
In one breath you say Covid vaccines are a stitch up, but the whole world invested in that, then you say green energy is unreliable and unaffordable otherwise the whole world would have implemented it.
You can’t chose the argument to suit your agenda, but you actually are.
From a consumer point of view EV’s are absolutely the way to go. The problem is the UK government have not got a clue what they are doing because they are all bickering in London.
Anyone who invested in green energy a decade ago is laughing all the way to the bank.
My first EV, not the Tesla, was cheaper to run than buying before fiesta despite being many multiples of the Fiesta retail price.
However what I will say about the Tesla, over my German manufactured EV, is that the Tesla works.
Yep the build quality is way better by the Germans but Elon Has nailed the battery technology etc
Solar, batteries heat pumps are the future
But burning fossils fuels, for when that rarely doesn’t happen, is a good solution is it?
I’m not forcing anybody into climate change I am just putting the opposing point of view across and your argument that it is unaffordable doesn’t wash.
I think it’s obvious to everyone that if the wind is blowing it’s better to use that than burn a fossil fuel, for a whole variety of reasons.
I get that you like the sound of a V8 which is why Ferrari have just patented an electric battery system with sound effect to mimic ICE’s.
EV’s are nowhere near saturation, there has been a drop off in demand because the electric price is linked to gas prices, when that drops out of the equation sales will pick up again.
Do you really think authorities had time on their side, like they do with persuading drivers to change their habits, with Covid when lives were being lost?
The 2 situations are not similar in terms of urgency but you chose to support one argument to prove your point then chose the opposite to prove a different issue.
Wrong board again, slug. Can you find a different outlet for your ranting, please? Not sure why you feel the need to spread your message but you're every bit as annoying as a JW at the door with a copy of the watchtower. Only your pamphlet is written in crayon...
Not asking you to accept anything, Slug- you've clearly had enough other people feeding you ideas. Just stfu about vaccines and climate- this isn't the place for those rants.
Yes It is Crazy the only ones Benefiting from this climate madness is the Government as it gives them the excuse they need to raise Taxes.
