Wiped off in the past 3 months, quite amazing really, i think this is a great buying opportunity for new investors,
DYOR
Agreed
New investors could easily do a bag buying at 8p but other lth’s would still be well underwater. Hope we don’t become a penny trade destination.
I am bearish on Solg .... but Christ Paddyboy... Even I dont think we are a penny share down the line..
Maybe if redramp could give us an update on what he’s firmly bud, that might turn the tide, it’s been a while since that news.
Not that I am pleased about it, but I don't see much support until we reach 4-5p, personal opinion. After that I suppose we would see a lot of speculative buying in support.
Even though I did ask Scott about what he thought he could do to support the price, apart from his opinion that we had reached the bottom his point of reference was the new PFS with the phased approach, so I suppose there is nothing at the moment offering respite to holders.
Personally, I am not topping up unless we reach truly stupid levels, like 1-2p, where realistically it's the only levels where there isn't much downside.
This is crazy given the fundamentals, but that's where we are.
How many shares do you think will have to bought to take this back to 10p levels, 10 Million?? 50 Million?
i could possibly manage another 500K if i cur back on a couple of my oil stocks , i think the upside could be huge , if your prepared to wait
Scotts plan to offload the treasury shares to bank 30 million not looking very likely now... Good job Scott
Wow Orthern. Your downer today puts my best to shame.
All CEOs are victims of the market and it just so happens that SOLG have a seller.
The worm can turn just as quickly. He'll be hoping it does and some before he needs to sell those shares, assuming he will need to sell them at all of course.
Agreed Bozi
Someone clearly offloading and it can’t go on forever. Don’t know who or why but I suspect they’re doing it at a hefty loss
If not a loss way less then they would once have hoped
I am on a downer today you are correct Bozi... and have probably posted more posts in the last 2 weeks than i usually do in 2 months... so I will refrain a little... Frustrated, and sent an email to Twigger, Caldwell et al, to ensure they know it.
lets hope that worm does turn and soon... but I am starting to think they have nothing to offer investors in regard to monetisation... they may have simply failed.. their bluff has been called and they seem to have no plan B..
It's not out of the question of course Orthern. That was a risk at 22p,at 18p etc.
At £250m market cap I'd be willing to say it's less of a risk but it would bring further downside granted.
One thing we've got to consider here is the issue that has been in play from the day hole 5 cores were brought up from the depths, and that is that the valuation being placed on the asset by certain key stakeholders simply isn't shared by interested parties. That's why BHP were sent packing and I still believe rightly so. If that is the case Bob will have to try and close any gap.
The other general point I'd make is that it's in markets such as the present where investors sell down. Bids are being hammered across many stocks all over the market. It's what happens when investors use leverage and then don't have the stomach or the ammunition when the going gets tough. Happens time and time again.
Didn't Scott say they should be at least double when they were c10p...?
What does he know...?
They are now 82% below the highest price BHP paid
They've lost 80% of their value in 18 months and halved since the CGP T/O Bid was announced and Bob said "Fast not smart..."
CGP shareholders have lost at least £50 million since the merger was completed and c£90 million since April 13th 2023... but Brooke McDonald said:
"This merger transaction makes sense for both sets of shareholders. The merger allows our shareholders to maintain exposure to the world class Cascabel Project and is a step towards maximizing value. Having considered the landscape, we are convinced that combining forces with SolGold will unlock significant value for all shareholders. The strategic review for the combined group aligns with our views on the best path forward. Today represents a significant milestone for all Cornerstone stakeholders and I would like to thank them for their support over the years."
Well, that's another 5 million wiped of MCAP today, and BOD. still sitting on hands,
one would think they would be loading up here?
They can’t , closed period ….. apparently
Oh , ok didn't realize that, it must be hard for them to see the SP fall so low,
it feels like a film i watched the other day , think it was called "GOLD" about the miner who supposedly discovered a gold mine in Indonesia, raised a huge amount on the stock market, only to find that his partner had fiddled the assay results,
it feels like something similar has happened here, is the Gold and Copper Mountain just an illusion!!?
anyone else seen it , on Netflix.
Roxi
That film was an adaptation of the Bre-X scandal.
There's no comparison with SOLG. We have JORC reports on Cascabel and economic studies signed off by a number of technical people with the right credentials.
I certainly wouldn't be buying parcels of stock if I held the view that SolGold was another Bre-X. I get you're happy to scare weak holders though - just don't go selling your Jadestone to fubd there, OK?
Roxi, what have you smoked?
The resource here is real and it's big.
Management is working to advance the main project and negotiate one or more JV for some of the other tenements.
However, since we are in a waiting mode before the new PFS and any other JV-type announcement, we are exposed to price speculation, at a time where the entire sector is crucified by investors and speculators.
Keep up!
Roxi, a mate of mine recommended that film months ago, but I still haven't seen it. I'm sure I will eventually.
Guys , im not!!!!!! saying its not real. im just saying it feels like it at the moment, ive never seen such a huge resource lose so much value over the last 5 years,
well apart from SXX ,
i am a believer hence my recent buying
Maybe we haven’t had one of the usual “ the company knows of no reason for the recent drop” releases because they are entirely aware of what’s going on ?
Markets are only interested in what's going to happen next - ie news on Cascabel and all mgmt have done is kick any news up the street like a soft drinks can - the regionals have been available for interest for 2 or 3 years and nobody has been interested hence no offers - the strategic review is worthless without a conclusion - the market speaks loudly - mgmt at Solg offer nothing
DBW - we're not an AIM stock and therefore don't have a NOMAD. That rules out an announcement of that type.
Add to that the fact that the MMs are maintaining an orderly book. If they start to struggle the company might be asked to comment, but whilst it's - 5% a day they'll just let it slide.
Lol Bozi thanks ….. feeling more like an AIM stock by the day
