You may be correct LunchMoney, but not at the moment.
Solgold have recently said that they are talking to no one. To me that means if they started talking to someone, we would be some time off due diligence, so if they started tomorrow on such a massive project, we are talking over a year, maybe over two. You don't get a bid for such a massive project as this unless it's a hostile bid.
So we have a strong defensive position, which people on here ignore and think that a bid will happen, even though the evidence says otherwise.
JV's . These are complicated, and I personally think Solgold would rather avoid these. Disagreement over various stages of build. Different approaches to problem solving, when problems arise. These things and others always increase costs.
So I see the cheapest most effective way to bring Alpala to production, is to build it ourselves.
One big hurdle is financing. However Solgold seems confident that they can raise the money, so I am relaxed.
Correct SharketMare, but people like you take things in isolation, so think how a change in the book happens, and that may give you an insight. It's not mutually exclusive, as an investor you should understand that.
Quady, you have said multiple times that we will not get a bid unless there is a change in the make up of the shareholder register. Or 'book' as you call it. It's there in black and white in your posting history for all to see.
"Finally, no need for your insults, eh?"
Sean insults because he's already lost the argument and throws his toys out his pram.. pathetic!
Agreed LunchMoney, as you are aware and the other intelligent posters on here, I have never said a bid is out the question, just that the most probable path is construction. After DFS and BFS and raising of the capital and with the construction of the infrastructure starting, we may get a bid, wherever it will be accepted is another thing entirely.
Bought 65k+ at 27.99
Well I did tell you all good luck if your still invested
I will buy in at 25p guarantee it... I'll post my buy before it arrives..
:)))
Whatever the medium term outlook here Ray, you have stood on the sidelines and watched as people make money from the 25p - 38p - 25p - 35p journey of the last few weeks. A rather pitiful position, especially as you failed to buy in last time it was 25p "because it will go lower" then had to watch it rise to 35p. Back to POLY with you sonny, Putin needs more cannon fodder...
Try and forget about me little novice, you wanted to speak to me today for some odd reason... get over me.
Good lad tinyray you know a good stock when you see one, and your wish is my command !!! Lolzzz
Make you anxious and tense do I ? ;))
#harmlessfool
As you asked little novice, I'm going to buy at 25p and trade it as usual... now go back to ignoring me little novice.
Cheers
Lolzzz Tinyray you're so original... Anyway what will you do when the price hits 25p ?
#harmlessfool
I thought you were ignoring me little novice?
Hi tinyray, and when it reaches 25p what will you be doing ? please tell us all, I'm intrigued ;))
Give it a rest Sean... Your earlier predictions amounted to zero
"If investors don't like the time it takes along the Lassonde curve, I recommend they sell"
Quite frankly you shouldn't be recommending anything about buying or selling. You gave your opinion - snouts in the trough are fine, fair enough - but leave it at that eh? Giving out financial advice is for the big boys.
Lunchmoney? Legend in your own lunchtime more like.
Wouldn't want to be out over weekend imho
Bids tend to come when various parties have had their feathers ruffled. We saw similar events when Franco deal was done. Like I said, BHP and NCM are not here for the dividends in 7 years time. Nor are most pi's. SOLG has to fund through to DFS and that might require a minor raise $40m or a larger raise $100m+.
Unless I am mistaken, have SOLG informed shareholders of the estimated costs or cash required to deliver DFS? And if not... why not?
LunchMoney - a quality contributor but nail squarely on head at 9:05.
Good post Lunch
Totally agree . Whole sector is having a tough time.
Perfectly happy to sit and wait though I think it’s nailed on something has to give before the next AGM and one way or another we’ll need a cash injection before too long .
LunchMoney - you aren't a Trump supporter as well are you?

Quady NM has always stated for over 10yrs he would reward all shareholders, explore then sell it like he has a history of doing for the best value to shareholders and institutions I don't think he was talking about Solomon Islands!!:):)
Morning Quads.
Solgold is not taking Cascabel through to production as we do not have a pot to **** in. As previously noted the only way of getting to the ore body without 3rd party assistance, is if you & the Children of Solgold get the pick axes out.
If I had evidence of a bid - a bid would already be in the offing. However, if you look at the list of our investors it is plain as day to see there are several interested parties - many of whom are fully versed in large scale mining.
Like it or lump it a bid will come.
Damers.
