Says the 25 th feb on YouTube
That eliminates BHP. The word that naturally flows after "the" is.......
"chinese".
20p on the news plus 40% premium: 28p. SOLD.

Exciting week ahead
“Our management “ is long gone
But as I have said multiple times over the last couple of years…. Never underestimate our managements ability to fail to close a deal..
T20 trade plus one rollover could cover the 2 months within which there could be sale action as per Irwin's commentary and with the SR timeframe of 3 months
I think the lips were going to form the sound "ch", but I may be wrong. What's certain though is that he's got a buyer in mind, someone they are already talking to. Otherwise he would have said "we are trying to sell" instead of "we are trying to sell to the .....".
Obviously negotiations may lead nowhere (see what happened to Shanta recently, where it seemed like an auction was about to start), but this is a rare asset. Please don't push the SP too much this month that my bonus lands on the 25th I have an idea on where to invest it..
LOL! To answer your earlier question Bubbs , I'' go for 14.08p next Friday.
Eish - great find, thank you. The herd will arrive a lot sooner that we expected prior to post
Irwin's slip up has given the private client punters like us an early mover advantage over the MM's and big boys
Yes, with the proviso that the delays and tomfoolery ( cough, cough ) will allow the Chi to also dollar cost average during the dip.
QP - they could place at a higher price to the Chinese and stock will move to that level in advance of a full bid/bidding war
In years gone by, such a slip by anyone connected to the senior management would see a 5-10p rise over be next week….
What you gonna do if you are the Chinese ?
Sitting on a trillion US$ worth of treasuries and cash, being threatened by the US over Taiwan and selling 'arms' to Russia, with sanctions on the horizon. How about getting rid of that dollar pile asap, including buying hard assets with a future working life.
Padmaster - looks like treasury stock will go to the 'chinese' in due course if we are reading Irwin's lips correctly.
fast and smart
QP - 3 month time frame for SR inferring a sale within 2 months or so by around Easter time
Highest bidder fits slug, but Irwin likely wouldn’t have bit his tongue to stop himself saying “highest bidder”
Strategic Review a smokescreen....sold well before then as hinted by Irwin
Lol QP …. Took the words right out of my mouth…. Clearly Irwin hasn’t read the script.
Eish … thanks
Good point re the highest bidder....captain hold her steady I think she is going to blow
Padmaster, yes....'sell it to the'....chinese seems a good fit
“We’re trying to sell it now to the ….. er I can’t say who it is”.
What is naturally followed by “the”?
Not BHP or a name of a company.
Chinese?
