Are these not just adjusting voting rights percentages relative to the number of shares in issue now that Cornerstone deal is through?
Orthern, I've got an eye on this page to see whether SOLG updates its presentation before their speaking slot. 11.30am ET / 16.30pm UK time. A handful of the other companies presenting have, but majority haven't.

I see they have shares out on loan. Is this new? Hopefully the counter-party is getting its backside kicked.
Btw, is it just me, or is this web site running very slow this morning?

Nothing like calling the top and loading up at the bottom :)))))
RNS -Norges transaction
I have to admit, I am now checking every morning for that RNS with much more anticipation than I used to......
Surely something has to happen here soon, given how long we have been busy behind the scenes trying to work out a suitable monetisation of Cascabel.... now control of ENSA is resolved... We cant all be waiting too much longer before we at least get a SR update? I'm frustrated yes, but things must be well under way by now, and after all the years of waiting and waiting, hopefully the next few months could be worth it..
They cant possibly present the usual, bland, seen and heard it all in multiple years before, presentation this week can they?? Surely our new management would not do that after castigating the old one for feet dragging and poor performance?
I admit, I am extremely weary with our board, and stopped paying any attention to the presentations a while back, but I am genuinely interested to see/watch this weeks.....
I would expect our man to sound equally bullish and bombastic as in recent announcements about new management etc, but if they are deep in negotiating a sale/monetisation event, and all other regional work is suspended, and has been since last January, what exactly is there to present? Everyone in that room will already know of our first mover advantage, of our portfolio of regionals, of our ESG work...... Equally, everyone in that room will already know of our continued failure to get anywhere...
So what exactly will we present? Its been a while since I've been this interested to see what Solg have to say at an mining event.
Does anyone know if this position has been closed?
Surely they will be getting a little nervous if not.

Without wanting to steal BN.C or Red's thunder.. looking pretty good from my extremely limited knowledge of Technical Analysis.
Resistance 1: 15.167p gone

Obviously will need to sustain this rise but starting to look encouraging
Morning all
I thought Cornerstone were looking at delisting at their close of play today.

Irwin is a sophisticated investor and he knew exactly what he was doing with this so-called 'slip of the tongue'.
He implied he had inside information, which begs the question, how did he get it? And what was he thinking when he made this statement?
Don't get me wrong, I'm absolutely delighted he did, it's just that I'm surprised and wonder if he's had his **** kicked by Caldwell. If he feels like releasing any other nuggets, feel free!
That's a good reminder redknight, SOLG and the chinese likely have an ongoing relationship and certainly more than enough time over the last 2 and half years to discuss various interests. The investment in 2020 was specifically for Porvenir which is near the chinese mines in the south, so made sense. But question is... do the chinese want to be in the north as well? My guess is.... absolutely.
SOLG have 100% ENSA now and the market will soon wake up to that reality. There are no fragmented or complicated ownership issues preventing a sale or bid. It's open season now and SOLG's share price is at multi year lows which must be very inviting for predators out there.
After all these years and ending up with that t22t Cazzubo listening to what Wazza said the other day is really the most important thing to have come out for many a year.
He said We are looking to sell to- I but i better not say anymore.
Wazza bless you mate for telling us the truth and that Scott, Maxit Sangha et al are pushing to maximise shareholder value.
For the first time I am truly excited- hence my buy first thing this morning for 113013 and later topped up to round off to 150,000 shares bought.
Everything is pointing to corporate action and soon.
GLA.
Still doing nicely despite new investors and LSE.co.uk still has the shares and MCap wrong...
£450m capital was crazy low for a company that has metal in the ground worth tens of billions.
If this did ever go to production and got the £3-4billion financing, it could be producing he current market cap in profit each year in ten years.
If it gets sold, based on the NPV or whatever it is called, should be £1B +
Still a long way to go, couple of days of good rises doesn't make up for the 50% fall over the last x months but Solgold always was a rumour sensitive share..... hoping the insinuation buy Mr Irwin that this is being sold is enough to re-ignite the fuse to get it going.
My target 50p, would kick myself if I didn't get out at that price and it dropped, I know it has potential for more but that would be enough for me.
Disclaimer... based on nothing more than my opinion! Hoping somebody has better figures around what this is / could be worth
Jiangxis engagement with SOLG dates back to the Valuestone issue in November 2020....
mickb please do mate.....:)
You will be instant hero.....
SM, my bad... I thought you meant 3 bagger eg 15p rounded to 45p. I think you're not far off with 60p but the question is... is that for SOLG lock stock and barrel or just for ENSA?
Best thing Maxit can do is get the ball rolling. The first bid or presented deal might have to be low ball. Might be 40p levels. Then we'll see who comes out of the shadows. FMG and quite a few others are already in Ecuador and they are not there for fun. FMG have balance sheet to make Ecuador a new mining Provence in same way as BHP or the Chinese. Get an auction or bid / counter bid process going and we should do ok. I can't believe we would have just one interested party in one of the best tier 1 discoveries in last decade.
I've had a hefty chunk of these for well over a decade now - if I sell I'm guaranteed to see the SP rocket the day after due to multiple bids.
should I take one for the team? :)
Fort, naturally I hope you're right. Competitive tension might lead to a mega pay day here.
Just quickly on your response to me last night - I make a 300% rise from 15p to be 60p, not 45p as you stated. And I see that as the top end for a takeover of the whole business, not just Cascabel.
Strong buy at these prices

Solgold never fail do to deliver :):)
SharketMare, whoever we negotiate or discuss sale terms with will be acutely aware that there is someone else waiting around the corner. As someone said yesterday... it's a bit like putting a house up for sale, buyers have a choice... they can offer below asking price and risk being gazumped or they can agree a price above or at asking price and have it removed from market or in some cases agree terms before it goes on sale ... so it never appears on the market.
It's all about the prize. The asset is off the charts. The metal mixes amazing. Regional / geopolitical landscape welcoming and open to business. It's potentially a $20bln PROFIT opportunity based on expected copper prices circa 2027 through to 2035.
I think our negotiating position is pretty solid and not sure it would be more solid even if we could prove we could take it to production ourselves. It's now marabout Tier1 mine opportunity for the big players and they are rare. It would be a steal for under $3bn. Daylight robbery at under $2bln. I can't see BHP or Anglo or Rio Tinto or FMG or Chinese letting this stunning property go cheap. Just not going happen.
DM, that is certainly putting a positive spin on the situation with regard to Cascabel. We currently have no full time CEO, no CFO, and have probably canned our head of IR. Earlier this year we lost Ingo and the person who was responsible for the metallurgy work as Cascabel, Lisa Parks. We've stated that Cascabel has been 'adequately studied'. Sangha, who holds 5% of the company, has said that building a block cave mine isn't going to happen.
This leaves very few options on the table - a sale, or at a stretch a JV where SOLG retains a minority stake - unless the company does a 180.
All this within the context of the Ecuadorian gov't making outlandish statements about construction kicking off in 2024.
FWIW, I am confident that we dispose of the asset either via a takeover or other means. And I agree that the company is in a stronger position that it has been for some time. But I think it's clear to everyone that we are not a company able to take this project any further, hence our position at the negotiation table isn't as strong as it might have been.
