Very interesting interview.

If you haven't done it already, it's worth googling Noboa/PDAC. There are a number of articles referring to his speech as well as some identifying the problems which still exist for a number of projects.
These articles demonstrate the more or less unique position Cascabel occupies, in as much as it doesn't face the same opposition from environmental and indigenous groups and is clearly being given a degree of priority by the government.
If one of the majors is looking for entry into Ecuador, we are incredibly well positioned - but we all knew that.
However, despite assurances from the company over the years, it does make you wonder how many of our concessions will ever see the light of day and in some senses this is probably a good thing. To my mind, it's always been the case that we got greedy and bit off far more than we could feasibly chew.
Anyway, let's get this bloody IPA signed and then we can all breath more comfortably.
Good morning Darren.
Don't worry.
This share price is not being manipulated.
It's people with conspiracy theories.
Sometimes people sell out a position over time, this is how they get out without crashing the price.
.
Thanks and keep at it, Red! Your research and point of view is much appreciated!
Interesting Roxi!
Well done!
Morning all. I am no expert in the share business and how it functions. I am just going to ask a really niaeve question to anyone who has more knowledge of this than me.. When I read of the sp being manipulated , surpressed etc is that possible? Who can do that, and why? I apologise for such a basic question and I am sure its complex but I am always trying to learn things that I dont understand..Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

Updated presentation by Scott today...

So heres a couple of interesting things from the official website of Cámara de Minería del Ecuador (Chamber of Mining of Ecuador)
First a brochure for PDAC showing the speaker list, including Scott and Larenas of Newmont https://cme.org.ec/brochure-digital-pdac-2024/
But also, Maria Amparo Alban's (NED at Solgold) X Account (https://twitter.com/alban_mamparo ) is a popup on this page.... https://cme.org.ec/
All this suggests a reassuring network that hibts at future providence for Solgold...
Don’t listen to the nitwit in puse cords who looks into women’s windows with his telescope (evening Quady!)
An MOU is just that. Think of it as planning permission for a big extension on a house you’re trying to sell. It’s a tick in a box that a buyer might like but a commitment to an agreement
Hence the term MOU
Talking of gold Fort ….. a little Blanca update wouldn’t go amiss
Oh I see.
Covgaz it doesn't matter, it's a long term solution.
We currently have power, just we require a lot more.
Ate the plans in? Make that 15 years.
Do these things get built quite quick then? Like within a year or two? FFS , it means nothing , will take 10 years to build the thing.
Bandit, your missing my point, I know Solgold won't spend a penny.
But this is going ahead on the understanding that Solgold will purchase power at a special rate, so in order to build, they must be confident that we can take a large slice of the 200MW.
Otherwise they wouldn't build it.

That's par for the course now BBG - SOLG management have no interest in keeping the PIs/wider market informed.
(Although I do note that PDAC is now shown as an 'upcoming event' on the SOLG website).
Frustrating to not know what Noboa or Scott said. Would have been a great opportunity to announce an improved IPA or highlight a globally-significant Cascabel project.
But given the lack of RNS (or mention of these items in today's RNS), I guess it is more talk and grandstanding than action.
Aye got them thanks...
Its so strange how they did not advertise being at PDAC and or confirm when and what Scott was going to speak
