That’s all your going to get Rcgl.
I’ve given up tuning in to these presentations.. I used to watch with a real keen interest, each presentation Solg did. But they have become stale, entirely predictable and worthless.
Your going to get generic pleasantries about CGP and then deflections and vagueness regarding the funding.
Hope you get it mate.
Seanhunter thinking of a new windsurfer myself :-)
In the past any questions about funding have been batted away with something like "Ingo is working on the funding and we will update the market in due course." But now I don't want to hear that sort of deflection, I think shareholders are owed at least a bit of clarity. There is no more Ingo, no one is even thinking about the long term funding to build Cascabel any more because that appears to be out the window, and the company is rapidly burning through its remaining cash pile, with no drills turning and some major deliverables due soon. I'd like an answer about short term funding, give us some comfort that the lights will stay on.
What I don't want to hear is another Darryl non-answer. "Yeah, no, look, I'm not worried about funding." Give us some clarity then.
Morning Bubble, fingers crossed buddy.
That's the spirit! We normally only hear talk about boats from the LTHs only when the SP is 35p or higher.
Even down here at 16p we can actually be more optimistic than ever right now, The endgame is starting.
Hopefully there will be a few new boats launched soon.
No doubt we're set up for another boring DC presentation restating what we know and with no new news...
We needed a juicy RNS today...vague hope he might issue one as he speaks...?
Dont hold your breath.
Nick was stultifying at presenting but at least he gave us something to chew on every couple of weeks...
Copperpot morning I'll be upgrading my boat when this finally arrives !!:)
Great post addicknt.
You know I was just thinking about Irwin and his gang in exactly the same terms the other day.
It was an old LBJ saying:
"I'd rather have this guy inside the tent ****ing out than outside the tent ****ing in."
I don't much like him, but I'm happier we are on the same side now.
Morning pinot, yes were all good here thanks. Hope your in top form too. Thanks for posting the date info back. I'm fishing at the moment, no specs and my fingers are frozzen....lol.
Nice to hear from you!
Near exhaustion in this Marathon! Reminds me of the Comrades Marathon in SA, a 56 mile uphill or downhill! Only for the Brave! Seems near certain all the little pigs are now in a row. I cannot attend today's presentation, as always, would some kind person please feedback what was presented and what questions were asked (and perhaps NOT answered!)

@BDMinefinder I signed a lock up. The merger moves us closer to a sale. Then we can all take our dough and reinvest in new opportunities of which there are many.
Not long now Bubble, for our patience to be rewarded my old friend.

Thanks for the link sjn
Thanks SJN ….. now all we need is some decent news dropped before today’s presentation
Is that Mather in yellow boots observing?:)
Morning addicknt, the diverse book argument has always been the same and as you know I have explained it more than once.
But will run through it again as I know just how much people on here love me repeating it.
I suspect we both agree that a hostile bid is difficult before and now even more difficult, because it was Solgold that acquired CGP and not BHP or NCM .
I have always said that a friendly bid was possible, but because NCM are not selling their stake and would like to add and BHP have announced they will not pay full price. This is unlikely.
However I do accept that should we acquire CGP and we now own 100% of ENSA that this could become a separate entity in a company wrapper and sold.
This was always the problem and with 100% ownership we can go two ways.
Someone can pay what Alpala is worth or we take this to production.
As I have always said Solgold are driving this not BHP or Indeed anyone else.
I should add that I think the key to unlocking a good deal with someone other than BHP, is to split them and NCM. If we can get NCM onside we can deliver a deal to a third party. But who knows what NCM's intentions really are?
Q, I'm genuinely puzzled by your diverse book argument, in as much as I can't see how it's going to stop an agreed deal. Bear in mind, our new shareholders i.e the CGP lot, have made their intentions perfectly clear... they want out, and I think we can add many private investors, NM, DGR and Tenstar to that list.
If the board negotiates a deal, it will be put to all shareholders with the unanimous backing of the board and a significant chunk of the shareholders.
Where I will agree with you is that the new register will give the board a much stronger hand in negotiations, if only for the fact that the CGP holders will be inside the tent rather than the opposite - in other words they'll be easier to deal with...which is the raison d'etre of the merger in the first place.
BHP/NCM are now looking at a situation whereby they now know that if they wish to buy us, or just Cascabel, they are likely to find themselves in competition...which is what we've wanted all along. We have weakened their grip, although we must still pay heed to the fact they will still own circa 20% of the company.
I was never in favour of the original hostile bid for CGP and I think what the current deal signifies is that NM has been hidden away in a cupboard during negotiations so that the antipathy that exists between him and the CGP lads is avoided. However, now we've agreed terms with them, which obviously implies we have listened to their demands, we are now firmly on the runway, seatbelts fastened and all hand luggage has been firmly stowed away in the overhead locker. (apologies for the naff metaphor)

Much more likely… this is all about trying to create the best possible value for ALL shareholders
