Addicknt yes am Canadian we stick together this will go soon and to the benefit of all shareholders like NM always said
DBW, I think that makes a great deal of sense. NM's silence at the moment is very interesting and one can only assume he's happy with the direction of travel.
Dbw hope not,lol!!:)
Morning Add …. Re your earlier post I can’t help thinking DGR may have a part to play here even after a takeover. I can see them used as a vehicle to hoover up some of the unwanted licenses from the new buyer ….. maybe even prearranged? Nick would know which ones he wants …. Then we can all embark on another 10 year odyssey lol
Q, that is true, but is it really likely? As for the 'go it alone' argument and all the stuff about how easy it would be to fund the development with minimal dilution - I take it you now realise it was never deliverable?
Did anyone really believe the company when it said it had $1bn already committed?
I'm afraid to say you're fighting a rearguard action at the moment, and I assume you understand just how much has changed in recent weeks?
It seems we are now being led by people who have the best interests of small shareholders in mind - and I'm guessing that should make you very happy?
Who knows where this will lead us, but the recognition of reality is the best thing that's happened for a very long time.
FTJNY I have read it.
Read the bit that says JV to production.
That’s remarkably ironic coming from someone who has repeatedly and doggedly claimed that Solg were ( or are) going to production! Think you need to re-read the article Q as Sangha makes it very clear that all the bluster of going to production is exactly that - just bluster! You need to wake up and smell the roses lol
mister, at this stage I don't think they have anyone lined-up - although I'd love to be proved wrong. And if this flurry of pr is designed to poke BHP/NCM, so what? That's exactly what we want.
Thanks dbw, excellent read. Must admit to nearly p*ss*ng myself at the "smart Sandeep" comment!!!!!!!!
As much as I like the CGP boys sticking it to BHP and I have been assuming a sale is on, what if this is all bravado? We saw Twigger call out BHP last year. I am wondering why, if they had a buyer lined up, they did a royalty deal soon beforehand. Makes no sense, which brings me on to (a) conclusion that this is merely to try and draw BHP out.
Also, if I was a potential buyer, I would not be pleased with their behaviour about BHP, I would wish for some more decorum. Maxit (in the Noront deal) made no noise..... so why now?
I hope I am wrong.
over in Oz, Clara Resources (Mather and Moller) have increased their holding in DGR. I can't imagine why!
A lighthearted aside: During WW2 my father fought in a special forces regiment and although he told me very little about his experience, he did say the best soldiers he fought alongside were the Canadians. All these years later I can see why he thought that!
of the many interesting snippets in the article is the revelation of DC's position.
It says he left due to the sudden decision to push the button and that he wanted a much slower approach to the whole process.
In other words, despite having signed-up to the SR, he was only paying lip-service to the agreement with CGP and didn't appear to have any intention of supporting a short term partial or full exit. This unravelled remarkably quickly and it's obvious he'd lost the support of the board. In my opinion, he will not be missed, which is a pity as I had high hopes when he was first appointed. Oh well, I suppose he'll be quite happy spending his $1m, so I won't be shedding too many tears.
Great article
Bring the saga to an end!
Newcrest is a thug. Atleast bob Sangha is giving them tough fight, GGP is definitely doomed after retaining around 30% percent at project level.
Thanks DBW for posting and thanks too to Seav for the find.
At last ftjny your starting to get it.
Sorry, didn’t realise this had been mentioned. As I have said before I have stopped looking at this site due to squabbling and rubbish being posted.
Interesting article though
Irwin has just included this article in a tweet.. he obviously likes it and is excited by any potential outcome.
Why are you duplicating onto both SOLG AND GGP boards? Need some ticks or reassurance lad.
Keep taking the kalms kiddo.
From their websites....."Greatland Gold is a leading mining development and exploration company focussed primarily on precious and base metals"
"SolGold is an emerging multi-asset major and leading exploration company focused on the discovery, definition, and development of world class copper and gold"
just saying it would be good if they had stuck to the exploration.....sale.....rinse...repeat.... and TOME nearly has a heart attack....calm down man!
Apols if already accessible, but full article available here if it works!
Thanks DBW for your efforts earlier.
Let’s see if this allows access to the article:

This idiot has just posted the same carp on the GGP BOARD, what a troll and Full time Pest with nothing better to do than troll these boards
.
I really hope it goes well I have a relatively small holding of just over 100k shares now - it's all well and good this has come out now - but let's not get carried away thinking the big majors will roll over and get stumped by the little guys. History should tell you that it rarely happens. fingers crossed all the same.
“For six years the biggest liability on SolGold has been Newcrest and BHP. They’ve talked down the asset,” Sangha told The Australian Financial Review. “This is a case study for junior miners as to why you wouldn’t want these guys involved in your project.”
Definitely a rumble in the Ecuadorean Jungle coming and my money is on Sangha and his baseball bat to give BHP et all a damn good pasting! Bring it on!!
stick to exploring and sell the discovery! don't do the deal with the big "devil" cos. Pretty simple really! Think of all that wasted money! lol.executive salaries?
