I though AGM resolutions would have been this morning.
I am not so utterly convinced BHP see Solg as any kind of priority. They have not shown much of any rush to buy Solg, or even JV Cascabel over the last few years.
Despite many people here predicting it constantly for years, BHP have moved on companies elsewhere over that time.
It’s long overdue that Solg move on, away from BHP. Just a shame it’s taken Cornerstone people to get a grip of the situation and move it forward.
There must be a raft of news to come in over the next few weeks, in the run up to AGM, that can at least get us to a barely respectable mid 20s share price.
I know this is a point of contention for many so you can only go with your own thoughts but at the end of the day the auto bots are pre programmed by humans so I think it is very easy for a number of small sells to constantly knock back any attempted rise in the sp
Good question Steve...
And I'd like the 'experts'to explain whats going on when there are 11 consecutive Autotrade of 2000/2500 at 18.46, which just happens to be the bid...if thats not holding the SP down I don't know what is...?
Red knight It would make me feel better about dark forces like norges and black rock not in bed with majors and can the SP be held back to let them reverse there position because I hear people say it's not possible to fiddle the price
Its true what you sat DBW...apart from stumping up the initial cash and later issues, they've been nothing but trouble and actively disruptive.
I don't accept the journos implication that BHP/NCM/Norge/Blackrock have acted as a concert party, I simply believe that the latter two were rightl concerned with the appalling corporate governance, which could at that time be laid at Twigger/Mathers door...
Twigger wasn't up for re-election so NM copped the lot and a 44% protest vote...
Bid for 300k again...this guy won't let go...
And I don't think they have to notify SOLG (who then post the RNS/TR1) until the order is complete...
In the meantime, while its holding the SP back, its also stopping it from falling back into the 17s...
19.06 paid today...20day MA cut the 50 day MA...minor breakout at 18.78 not sustained but fingers crossed...
Red I’m pretty sure they do want it …. Just think they wanted to help themselves rather than pay up for something that’s been put on a plate for them.
The most resonating comment for me was
“This is a case study for junior miners as to why you wouldn’t want these guys involved in your project”
Same journo who said
"there’s bound to be a time in the next few months when its two big Australian shareholders will have to decide how much they want Cascabel.
If it’s a bit, then the two shareholders will have to tip into an equity raising and try to maintain the status quo.
But if it is a lot, like some analysts suspect, then we could see a pair of Australian heavyweights in a ding-dong battle."
Playing into the 'joint BHP/NCM takeover bid for SOLG nostrum...
Total respect Steve...everybody's commitment is relative to their means...
I knew people who lost their entire pensions in SXX...that is NOT going to happen here...
redknight, I know it was, but the journalist wrote that in the context of an interview with Sangha, who for all intents and purposes is now calling the shots, along with the rest of the 'little guys' contingent.
You know my view DBW...first bid triggers a bidding war...unless its a knockout bod of say 125p...
We've just bought 15% of CGP for about $120m...who would pay $700m for 30%...?
I have followed the colonel over a few years and bought 10k at 24.5p and another 10k at 16p which is my limit these days after reading an amazing triple page post last night I got the full feeling how majors are really powerful and a little nervous what there plan might be to hurt us Donald trump bully style but thanks for your replies I'm not a very wise man but love buying shares in exciting times property was my bag am 62 and semi retired and don't want to go back full time !
I answered that Redknight try reading.
THERES NOT GOING TO BE A CASCABEL JOINT VENTURE COLONEL...
Full takeover in my opinion RK
Sorry that last quote was Sangha.
SM
"It now seems far more likely that SolGold will sell part or all of Cascabel and use the proceeds to return to its core competency; greenfields exploration."
That wasn't a quote by Sangha, it was the journalist...
“We are going to do what we should have done six years ago; monetise this in whatever way maximises value for shareholders,”
Quady you're still filtered but...
Why would Blackrock back BHP if Cascabel is being taken to production by Solgold...? Huh?
addickt...
"Obviously, in any subsequent deal a buyer will take note of the arrangement and will reduce the price accordingly"
While it may affect the price a bidder is prepared to pay, in a minor way, at the end of the day the exit price for SOLG will be determined by the auction and who's going to be billy big b******s...as happened with Noront, where Wyloo wiped the floor with BHP...
So how badly do you want the car...and are you prepared to pay the price the seller is demanding...everybody has a BATWA but we don't know who's in the game yet.
This an auction for a Van Gogh...not a Constable...a chance this big may not come again fpr a very long time...
Steve I would hope the SOLG that may emerge from the sale of Cascabel (if that's what happens rather than a full takeover) is a company that has learned from the past utterly wasted 6 years.
Our current predicament - with the SP way, way lower than where it should be - is the result of us making the wrong enemies at the wrong time and all too often cutting our noses off to spite our faces. Plus the "going into production" talk has been a self-inflicted disaster worthy of Liz Truss.
To take cash worries off the table mister...and its redeemable if theres a takeover...
Steve,
Where there is demand for the materials mined, then a fair price will follow as sure as night follows day. Why wouldn’t you locate all the gems by using geologists like Solgold has for quite a while now?
The Andean belt is a source of rich mineralisation, the future is clean electricity or as clean as it can be, copper is the solution hopefully Solgold has much of the answer.

If the infrastructure is built for Cascabel then it should be easier to pass on any other discoveries without all this drawn out grief !!
