capt minty what a great post.... everyone IMHO is either good at buying or selling but rarely both...so you are not alone in that... and we all have dogs too.
Minty
I think you have to go through the pain to actually make a profit...we have all been there..
But you have come out on top...Well Done and Good Luck!
Hi all,
I've never invested in shares before lock down but thought when this big C thing happened and the stock market crashed who's making money out of this? So I did some research and invested a couple of grand in SNG, AVCT, ODX, NCYT, YGEN, GDR in March. I did ok and more than doubled my money. Then I thought I was the wolf of Wall Street and lost my profits on some proper dogs. I first bought SNG at 22p and topped up till 70p only to see it fall to 34p. I then got out of all the others except SNG and bought more at 40p (The wife didn't know and when she did and was "get our money out of all of this crazy market) . I even bought some at 100p on the morning of the manic Monday rise (even though people say never buy in the first hour) and I now have 7500 shares at 65p average. I haven't sold a share (as I seem to be rubbish at selling) and I know this is small change for many on here but for me turning 2k into 20k is amazing and Imo could be life changing still if what seems to be happening pans out. I'm therefore hoping for a take over so that I don't have to make the decision when to sell. £10 a share would pay off my mortgage so I'm in till the end what ever. He who dares Rodney. I'd like to thank the informed posters on here who when the chips were down helped me not to cut my losses and stay in the game. Thank you.
Boobed, if we get positive COPD data or good peer review, I wouldn’t rush to sell at £3.50 dude. Just sit tight.
Spark - good thinking!
The first basic target is the Finncap target price of £3.60, however given how good the results were this was blown out of the water somewhat. Run your winners I'd say, obviously having taking some profits (I'd like to think most holders have already done this, hence why the price is now moving back up...)
Assuming SNG001 success then a min US $5bn market cap. I am guessing that is about £27 a share. And I think that would be very very conservative.
Second one very interesting thanks... sounds like biogen or merck are most likely to be interested in securing the supply of inf beta at least for us market. Sounds like biogen could simply be a supplier and would in that way make the profit, as I cant see governments allowing these companies with life saving treatments to make zillions. The suppliers to the Product though - i think they will make dosh.
Thanks... im thinking if merck are the leading inf beta supplier having merged with schering, then it would make sense for them to buy the access to the patent at least for the usa, or indeed the company but they might not need to buy the company... the multiple pharmas referred to by rm could be eg merck for the us patent, company in china to take control of patent for china, etc etc.
£8 + before the end of the year
And another:

Sparkle, - This isn't the only supplier, but try this:
https://adisinsight.springer.com/drugs/800007022
or was it schering i meant to say before Merck merger? Or is it still biogen or Or or Or ???
replying to Mr Big... my experience says i dont think the big pharma cos will make a ton of profit on this sort of stuff - the governments etc will cut everything to the bone. However, the guys that make the dosh are the downstream suppliers... so if philips makes the neb, who is supplying the INF beta? Does anyone know> as IMHO, they are the guys who will rake it in. Is it Schering? Anyone know?
i think this is dream land...if we all went out like normal just cos we knew our back was covered, we'd all have massive issue as in short order pretty much the only anti-viral would become pretty useless as (all) viruses would get used to getting round it. Interferon beta will never be taken like aspirin. So if you are eg 30 you can go out on the razzle then give virus to your dad and tell him its ok as he can dose up on what is a pretty strong anti viral drug. This is not going to happen...
Completely agree GPS1 that this is priceless, with trillions being printed by governments worldwide to save the economy, this could really be the magic pill to give people and governments the confidence to open up and go back to normal times, because everyone knows there is a super efficient treatment available to now cover your back.
There are 2 prices that are important here, firstly the share price and Secondly and more importantly is the value of saving lives and that is priceless . These 2 prices will go hand in hand and if this is as good as the trail results indicate then this share could become the once in a decade company to be invested in. I’ve been in this long enough and done enough research to be very confident things will be positive. GLA
Scorpio, matt - I imagine big pharmas will take a lion's share of the profits. We hold the IP on the process and will be entitled to some of the profits. We are not going to own the end-to-end process and will not be the only player in the market.
I hope I'm wrong, obviously.
France and The Netherlands have just been added to the quaranteen list
from Saturday...2 weeks...........
Virtually impossible to guess at this stage, as we could be looking at a bigger trial which would need a few hundred million investment.! IMO
If the data on COPD are good, 15 Pounds per share would be about 2 Bio market capitalization - that is reasonable already without COVID!
I’d guess 8-10 by November, 4.50 end of this month.
Totally agree RScorpio.
May sound silly, but my honest view is if 001 treats Copd plus already proven with Covid, with the world economy in doldrums I don't see how SNG can be valued anything less than £10bn+ and I am still being conservative.
