Meanwhile Bidstack are keeping busy19 Sep 2019 11:26
For all the speculation about H1 results - which cannot accurately reflect all the good work done in that period or since - Bidstack are motoring on with their mission. They have too many NDAs to be banging out RNS after RNS but even a casual glance at their Twitter account or website tells me they are working harder, networking and achieving more than 90% of the companies on AIM.
Choppers - EA Sports’ official slogan is “It’s in the game”. So yeah, Bidstack’s “Get in the game” is pretty close.. and doubtless influenced by them. And fingers crossed we will have news soon that they are in EA Sports’ games. It seems highly likely given the genre of games they are known for - and the small matter of EA being a client of Pubguard !!
Thanks TheBig, Wilson and Girdz for your replies to my poser re: JD’s long term plans. For the record, I sincerely hope Bidstack becomes a serious force in its own right - and stays that way. But I suspect that the truth is C) that JD may ultimately have a price. I think it will be a sizeable one, however, and I believe he wants to create a legacy, so unlikely to sell up inside the next couple of years.Either way I’m confident the SP is going to multibag from here.
I agree with Big re: what JD is likely to discuss on the podcast but, if there is an RNS tomorrow then it’s most likely to be a games contract. EA Sports would be very welcome - and not too surprising :-)
A good article which reinforces just how busy Simon Gosling and the others at Bids have been. Quite a few clues about commercial relationships here and there. Ford and Allied Esports get strong mentions. Facebook too
For the record I really like the Bidstack story and if I wasn’t on a paltry support worker’s salary I would be putting a lot more money in!! But yes, I ponder this question about why the SP rises aren’t bigger.. In addition to the things people have already mentioned, I think a couple of factors could be at work: 1) A few question marks about moat / exclusivity. Could another player yet come in and crash the party? From my research I don’t think this is likely but others might 2) Profile. I think the moment Bidstack gets proper coverage in a broadsheet or similar, then we will see an instant effect on SP
I’ll ‘fess up that I am relatively new to investing and only been in this company since May, so I’m still on a steep learning curve.. How do people think the RNS flow will play out in the next couple of months? Will there be a flurry of statements (including days with more than one RNS) or will they try to stagger them so the market has time to digest big news?? Is there a received wisdom about doing this?
Absolutely. Building the right inventory is crucial. No use having space in tiny games that nobody wants to play. So far Bidstack is in household names. Well, let’s put it this way - they are in games that even I have heard of and I don’t play video games at all
