Crazy spiking at the moment
that is where it was last summer and for ''no reason'' it more than halved. Yes we are facing a recession and spiraling costs, but this company has resilience.
daily chart shows it has broken through lets hope it closes above it and opens above it on Monday...surely this S.P move cannot be down to a new CEO................
3 million plus sell against 240000 buys.................crazy or some of those sells are actually buys....and price goes up
Probably Steve Francis blowing his load
Any thoughts as to why?
So long story short, Steve Francis has turned the business around and returned to profit. Reins now hand over to an industry veteran to continue growth, return to dividend and return SP to the 100’s
I thought Galliford had disposed of the house building side of their business and was more focussed on civil works now ?
New CEO - 'Gavin Slark is currently a Non-Executive Director of Galliford Try Holdings plc, a UK housebuilding and construction group'. Is this not a conflict of interest? Who knows.. sounds favourable
Francis not done bad from only 3 years in the hot seat.
Subject to availability alot of products are still on long lead times .
Hearing that house builders (including the one I work for) are about to drive a massive procurement blitz to mitigate against further price rises. Will most likely see an uplift prior to FY results
On track to exceed 2018 books in nearly every aspect. FY profit on the horizon, even with expansion.
Good price to get in at....What made you get back in?
With a tad over £44k, good times ahead (imminently!)
Big roofing contractor Avonside going bust would be deep into sig for millions i would guess.Avoid this for a while to see
the effect.
Obw what are you talking about saw one van what a joke. They have exteriors doing roofing and insulation vans go everywhere shape up.
...today, and close to where I live in central Bournemouth. Looks like they are getting business down south again. Good sign.
As I said months ago, they will sell there overseas activities, but not this year. I presume 2026.
yes I agree with the ''sale theory.'' However, more likely maybe a full takeover and some parts sold off. I do think the ''new business'' could be returned to the market very quickly.
Anyone struggling to buy this morning?
which is why, Scafell, my view is that they are lining up a for sale sign on some/all of the overseas business now that they own miers. that would wipe away all that debt. we shall see.
Net debt has gone up a lot.
Strange!
It responded last year better, on Weaker news.
