Darientaylor - "back to 1p by the weekend" "worthless pile of dog poo"
Dont you mean 3p?
Accelerators don't expect multi-million £ grants. This is a successful big. Will build from here... if you understand pharma/research this is fine. Hold and wait. Those who get nervous will sell and lose out long term. Plays into MM's hands.
“
PIs will now abandon SAR en masse and move on to the next rainbow chase”
Any tips?
give it a couple of weeks to settle no rush here
sadly looks like it could be back to where we started...nothing has really changed form last week other than we got a small grant to press on with Covid research but the market is not rational theses days and too much hot money going in and out of small stocks based on the latest rumours and Covid related news.
PIs will now abandon SAR en masse and move on to the next rainbow chase
back ground sellers still in force
sold mine. only 170k grant - that does not justify mcap risen massively several millions !
Darien a lot of people have made fortunes from Covid stocks and not just from NYCT. Meteoric rises for many and some have fallen back. Not getting too greedy is the key and selling when in good profit. However if you had done that with NYCT then you would have missed out on mega bucks.
Keeps shooting up to 3p, 3.05p, 3.1p. Very strange.
Yes they got what they asked for. I've added 100k looking for longbterm
Haha, well that last comment from darientaylor proves he is to be ignored
wonder how many got hung dry ??
back to 1p by week end
Hi Potnak, I guess I just equate pharma research with larger amounts of money. As i say I'm not detracting from Sareum. The other pharma stocks I'm in tend to quote higher figures is all. I'm not the best person to comment in truth.
The Company got the amount it applied for. What's the problem?! If they had applied for £1 million and only got 20% then that would be a problem.
Tim has said in black and white that they got the amount requested. Sound fine to me.
This hare price has gone up £60 million purely on the word covid 19 is a joke its a worthless pile of dog poo has been for many years a lot of people are losing a lot of money chasing the covid 19 rainbow just because they see NCYT making money....
Matador, why were you expecting more? Tim said they applied for funds to finish preclinical work and get it ready for trials. If successful, we won't need another. It will be licensed. The excitement over the last few days has been great but the big prize is still to come. I couldn't be happier with how this has played out. I always say, we née the dumb money to come and they did.
My understanding was that the grant is to cover the first stage of investigating the potential use of TYK2 Vs C-19. First phase cost = £238,000 UK Gov Grant = £174,000 SAR = £64,000. I'm sure in one of the RNSs it mentions further grants being available subject to how the first phase progresses, which makes sense. I've held these for years and whilst it was nice to see 3p on the board this morning I won't be selling anytime soon.
Completely agree with Wolfbag's post, that was my initial thought too. Presumably with the £64k SAR are putting in they feel that's all they need to conduct the initial study. Guess we'll find out more with the next release of news once they've worked out how this will be conducted. Whichever way you look at it, this is positive news and an important box ticked. Onward & upward from here.
My initial thoughts too but . . . .
i) I think it demonstrates some commitment in the company by UK Gov
ii) If we HADN'T got the grant then the REVERSE would have been (seen to be) true with a probable adverse effect on the SP
iii) As has been stated - presumably we got what we applied for ?!
I didnt know what they applied for as Tim didnt wish to mention it in his interview. I honestly thought for something as important as Covid more money would have been available.
some of the small business loans are 50k
????? They got what they applied for!
Let the traders go
N chill
This isnt a de-ramp by any stretch but isnt 170k a little paltry ?
I was expecting something a little more substantial
