Been a funny week on Saga SP but late high volume buys on Friday suggest possible support next week. The Vod gain was the main reason for market gains otherwise still a lot of caution that extends to Saga and the whole travel sector.
All theory of course but hope recent gains continue. As suggested raised my old 'stop' from 34p now 40p.
A down day as expected after finishing above 50.... interesting next week
Precisely Dodger... I don't regard Fool's too much as usually they are behind the curve but would absolutely welcome all positive commentary... looking stable at 50 now GLA
It gets to 50 then goes..’woah, I need a bit more time before I step over there...but I will’ :)
The Fools website rating it a buy again, if that’s worth anything ;)
Opened at 50.45 which is very positive
another stab at 50... will we get lucky this time round??
What a complete load of ******!
IMHO LOL
GL.
Think SP is consolidating for a breakout above 50... the action certainly suggests that as it keeps bouncing off from 48.... maybe next couple of hours would do the trick
As I think someone has mentioned previously here on advfn, their search for a new CEO will have become harder, or certainly more expensive, with Elliott on the share register.
The role will only appeal to a different type of character now, one that will need to have a shorter time frame to make a mark and one who will want to be highly rewarded if they are not in post long enough due to a complete takeover or pressure to do the splits.
I'd send in my CV but, whether regrettably or not, I'm not yet old enough to be a target customer, oh and I get sea sick on boats :-)
It will break through 50 sooner or later... personally it looks poised for a big leap given underlying trading is good.
Elliott was a big win/win for us... i remember some folks acting shady and drawing conclusions based on local press comments lol
If those (press) really knew what was going on or indicating next course of action then every share trader would be very wealthy lol they just spread rumours except a few credible ones.... DYOR
46-48 until good news
Harry - why don't you set a new stop for 45p? - you'll save a lot if it goes South.
There's a lot to be said for trailing stop loss to protect a fragile recovery.
Given my past negative views on Saga I'm happy to see the present SP recovery and hope it continues. Elliot buying in gave the SP a lift and recent positives in the press helped.
View going forward is likely rangebound at 50p. Sad to admit still hold a 'stop' on Saga at 34p but looks like this will expire unless the next update is very bad.
All theory of course but until the CEO finally leaves still view Saga as a crap investment for me but just maybe the company will recover under new CEO
55-65p
Harry,
What's your view on saga's sp for next 2/3 months?
Jay
Not sure I was high when posting just trying to be less serious on Saga. Maybe you should consider being the same, makes the day seem better.
Hi Paul??
Obviously you have little sense of humour as my post intended. Don't take life so seriously.
Some folks really have no clue what they post and why they post! Perhaps they should try commenting on something when they are not high before making silly comparisons!!!
Harry cash - perhaps you could clarify, is your post 281 an entry for pillock of the week comment for last week or next ?
Not overly optomistic on further SP uptick this week but you never know .Maybe Fosun will buy both Thomas Cook and Saga. Lots of Chinese want holidays on the cheap.
All theory of course but good to see 'believers' still posting here only thing you need to watch is Iran don't steal the Saga ships.
Today I was hoping to close on 50p?
Predictions for next week?
