Cruise ships, even when at 100% double occupancy (two people per cabin), can exceed 100% capacity due to the inclusion of third and fourth guests, often children, in cabins. This means that the total number of passengers on board can be higher than the number of double occupancy berths.

Note not really possible with Saga especially as any chidren need to be over 50 ;-)

Zccax……..940 out of a possible 980 is not far off your 100%. Being a Saga ship it is possible that thise 40 pax that were missing maybe succumbed to old age 🤔

Aspers great to hear this. I don't understand why they cannot increase their pax closer to 100% since if you look at carnival, Norwegian or Royal Caribbean they all operate in excess of 100% occupancy.

My old mate has just arrived back in Dover after doing a 10 day round Britain cruise. He was well impressed and 940 pax aboard out of a max 980 so a pretty good load factor.
