Day high will be 4.26 + I suspect barring any curve balls , based on DJ, FTSE futures more than anything else.
Hope everyone had a wonderful bank hol - even though it rained nettles and dogs!
Don't people feel daft posting prices ? it's my worst Share today IAG is my best. but you get likes for it ?
I've never known a stock to be so detached from its index as Rolls-Royce is to the FTSE 100
Struggling to see your argument for IAG, I didn’t bother with IAG… put it all in RR… up six figures.
Best decision I ever made.

Sounds like a good call to me.

"
Definitely a best decision!
I made a worst decision selling out at 126p after seeing 50% paper loss! Should have could have stayed in. Got few at 188p and 204p but not massive amounts to dent my mortgage. Have diversified now instead of all into one stock. RR dividend announcement could be the next trigger point

You sure about that?
Yes I bet there is a lot of people on here trying to Guess the SP daily eh 😀
I really wouldn't have noticed Ar5enal, but every post you make is moaning about that fact so I bow to your superior, older, wiser, older, and more informed/older judgement.
Nettles I’m not moaning just pointing out the obvious that yourself and others attempting to guess the SP ,remember your prediction of £7 by February ,good luck with that one 😀😀😀
Just to confirm, i was talking only about a day high, not a price above 4.26 that would stick. I was 0.20 off, price reached 425.90 (day high)....its just a bit of fun is all.
Everyone is guessing a price...unless your a MM (in charge of algo's) or have complete control over world events, its fun and games at a retail level. My prediction was a guess based on like i said DJ/FTSE futures...I am not a guru in any shape or form but i have followed the markets for 20 + years so you kind of get a feeling (not always right).
I do have an exit in mind and i am confident it will be reached and that price is between me, the missus and what I do next in my life.
Have a good evening.
You got it spot on in my eye's Bav. Like you say, a bit of fun in-between the announcements that take this to £7 come Feb 2025.
Just don't have too much fun on here, there are 'some' who don't like fun.
NTC . This will not climb 40.23% by Feb next year as of today’s price . Sorry my friend but simply won’t happen . If you look @ my history I always stated £5.00 by feb 24 . It is not going to achieve anything near the numbers you think & portray to the forum . Good luck with your investment .
Market I agree 100% this Will not be £7 by February but it’s only fun eh mate ,I get the impression excuses are already coming 😀😀
@Nettles, fun sponges come to mind ;-). Sometimes in life people think we are all playing the same game, but at some point people realise you have been playing cricket and everyone else has been playing football. Investments are like that. As retailers we don't have a clue what the big boys are doing (or playing) period. I do hope for £5+ in the next few months...and that's all it is, hope.
Anyway time for a run....nice and sunny in London town..enjoy your evening guys.
I tend to agree with you I hope Nettles is right as I love his optimism and he's a cat with character!
For me the daily and weekly swing in this SP is making the day traders a lot of money and I feel its being held artificially.
Large engine orders and the numerous other good news is having only a limited effect although geopolitical stuff is not killing it either, for me all this just adds up to when we have a profit update or a huge upward swing with the SMR announcement and/or dividends?
As I always say I'm a complete amateur and this is just my opinion any one else's opinion I'm always glad to hear!
Have a nice evening and good trading to you all
A17.. I am asking one last time if you can/are willing to please share the data site for the widebody market share of RR as you seemed to have access to this info earlier in the year.
@Svend, RR state they have 33% of global market share of larger engines (I assume that means long haul).
https://www.rolls-royce.com/about/our-businesses.aspx
@RoR I mean widebody market market sorry
I thought they were one in the same. That being said, the demand for long haul flights and the reintroduction of A380 must mean some serious coinage for RR for off wing work and chargeable hours, if they still bill for that on the A380.
Found this from Jan 24..https://www.statista.com/topics/6331/global-aircraft-engine-market/#topicOverview, which says RR has 30% of wide body behind GE with 51%
@market & @****nal you better have your apologies ready come february. you think a 40% upside is unthinkable yet the last year it has gone up 100% plus!! i'm pretty sure we won't hear from you. come february 25.
Why would you assume that no more communication from myself come Feb 25 . You know what they say about assumptions don’t you . Anyway moving forward , I will be more than willing to offer an apology to NTC if he is proven correct , factual statement . Good luck to him & all investors to include myself , hopefully he’s bang on ! End .
Don't worry @market America will be open in a few hours to drag the price down!
my assumption is that you won't want to be wrong it's human nature! I look forward to your apology
Any apology in Feb 25 will be made to NTC & him alone . No friction exists between myself & NTC to my knowledge simply a difference of opinion , like I previously stated , hopefully the chaps correct . Enjoy your day .
The rise is probably Sunak announcing a circa £200 million enrichment facility at Capenhurst, Cheshire.
All the ducks are lining up now for RR SMR, fuel for them from the above,Sheffield Forgemasters for the much needed SMR Fabrications, 100% owned by the Ministry of Defence not a PLC, all Fabrication profits go straight into Government coffers, why go overseas particularly when one UK SMR Company has a well proven and trusted SMR design, right on the doorstep and all the resources on the doorstep lined up to go virtually straight away.
