"Would not like to be out of this over the Weekend"10 Oct 2025 21:04
A new addition to my Portfolio long term horizon, Van Eck Rare Earths ETF (Ticker:REGB) went off like a rocket for 4 days this week at one point yesterday I was circa £1.50 up per share, fell like a stone today while at the shops, now only up 24 pence a share, the fund has 23 holdings all 4 Australian producers fell an average of 4-5%, the only one up quite significantly today is POTUS MP materials (MP Ticker, YTD 335% up ) at one time a whopping 17% up, currently hovering around 13-14% up.
Most staggering is that Lithium Americas Corp (NYSE:LAC) equity holding in the ETF is currently $7.5 dollars per one share (circa £5.55 per one share) even more bewildering is it has not produced one ounce of Lithium for sale, and is not expected till Production Phase One late 2027. Lynas (LYC) finished down 3.8% on the day (ASX) a lot of aussie investors seem to sell holdings for a weekend, saying that I don't think I have ever heard the age old chestnut on Cobra " i wouldn't like to be out of this over the weekend", I would proffer that would be fatal with many RNS to surface at any time.
Elon Musk was touted for courtship in Cobra years ago by some posters, the perfect scenario for a possible bidding war with POTUS as they do have a stormy relationship, that's if they are both aware of Cobra Resources that is, perhaps the call for a better website is indeed a very good call. With China choking the rare earth supplies via another Tariff War, Cobra should be the steal of the Century at currently 4pence a share. Good times ahead !!!!!!
