RE: AVIATION A2Z12 May 2024 13:57
February article??? must of been well Baked in the current price now surely, as Forbes states RR spent $2.8 billion dollars(upgrades etc) in 2019 to resolve all future issues pertaining to turbo fan blade issues, one could conclude that if there were "very severe" problems with RR jet engines then GE, Pratt and Whitney, and Boeing would be the first one's shouting this from the roof tops as the very RR engines fly above there heads.
Flight Global also has a similar article dated 12 March 2024 pertaining to Trent and Air New Zealand draw your own views, as i see that as an endorsement of RR engines in a roundabout way, as the article also states lower down that they can't get enough RR Engines or RR engine part's.
The first share i check daily and throughout the course of the day is Airbus, as RR are paramount to Airbus , I noticed Friday afternoon that their share price was also down minus 1.6% and upon checking now are pre-market circa forecasted to rise plus .75% obviously that can fluctuate up/down till actual trading, bad news/good new etc, would that be green currently and the Airbus share price not dropped more than RRs on Friday as they have far more to lose than RR having a bigger proportion of the Airline Pie, as RR also have other additional income revenues than Airbus, at close of play fellow jet engine maker general electric also down bigger than RR at minus 2.46%, and Boeing beating us on the day by only being down minus 1.5%, though they do not make jet engines so not our rival more Airbus.
RR and general Aviation Friday share price drops may have been forecasts from the good old USA on rate cuts, inflation being sticky, and a brand new forecast of the US Consumer not spending as much the last few months and Credit Card delinquencies rising at a pace, although as per usual the Dow Jones and S&P ended the day Blue, as with the Blue skies above am just going out for a few Guinness/Blackcurrant Sherbets !!!!!!!!!
