I am of a mind that if I'm buying it has to be pre finals at end of month. Surely all the bad stuff is priced in at this level. The lowest it's been to buy over the last few weeks is 22.5p. So I've set my trade plan at 22.45p. I can always revise it if it fails to click. I've a hunch we'll see the start of a bit of a recovery post finals. We desperately need a new thread guys anyone out there apart from Dan1Nat1 and me !!!!!!! D.
Very low volume at the moment, even small trades are causing a shift in price so you might get lucky if someone drops a sell tomorrow it may tick down again. Good luck, I’m in for a few and expect a steady increase over the next 6 months...assuming no surprises when the results drop.
Down again this morning. I have set a sneaky wee 8000 share buy at 22.45p ending close friday. lets see if anyone bites. D..
I understand your point about quality products, but sometimes the end user doesn't want to pay for quality they just want it cheap. Not my view, quality and long term reliability for me every time. Looks to me that the main negatives contributing to the dramatic downturn over the last six months or so was amongst other things. Raw material increases that the company were struggling to pass on to the customer and the dollar to pound exchange rates at that time. Are these not the same issues that a multitude of other companies have to deal with ! I assume we will find out from the final results rns due at the end of the month if they have found a way to alleviate the issues. I'm not in yet but very close to pulling the trigger. I tend to be very careful now with my buys. Market now at record highs with a retrace probably overdue so when I buy now I try to be very wary of buying anything that is over valued. Rno seems to be anything but over valued and if all negatives are not priced in at this price, well how low can it go. D.
New product info - http://www.renold.com/products/sprockets/?utm_campaign=9477178_Remail%3A%20Copy%20of%20Sprockets%20UK&utm_medium=email&utm_source=Renold%20Power%20Transmission%20Ltd%20T%2FA%20Renold%20Gears&dm_i=22T,5N4MY,JVRXNS,LXWC4,1
As a supplier of Renold products to the end user, I can confidently say there reputation for quality is second to none. They potentially don’t pass on enough information to there investors, I received information about a new product last week...maybe it will be mentioned in the results and doesn’t warrant a seperate RNS?
Rno seems to be one of those unloved shares, there's plenty of them around. Finals out 29th. May. Notice says all as expected. Also been on my watchlist since initial downturn, kept falling since. If I remember the " bad news " rns half the business doing okay the other half not. At this level probably worth another look into the fundamentals to see what's what ! D.
Looking good for a quick recovery imo, oversold on a minor profit warning. If it stays at these low levels I would not be surprised to see a takeover, probably by an American company...they would love the Renold brand name and reputation.
same here it is on my watch list
Is possible from here. Best of All
Think this is actually a hidden gem. I'm placing my bets on this
Next leg up is a high probability as the price has been repeatedly testing 59p, and it's supported by a number of bullish key indicators. This should come in the next few weeks. DYOR
Positive trading statement today. No fireworks, but they're going in the right direction with sales up, more cash generated and a reduction in net debt. Could reach its July 2015 high of 85p if it keeps up the good work. #buy.
...now 70p
Something need to happen here, this company has a quality product, pity about the management suspect someone like Babcock will eventually take them over, lets hope so for the shareholders sake
German or continental business be interested now post-brex
Who ? Rno 1 of a kind, cannot think of a single competitor who would bid.
Surprise me if Renold were subject to a takeover bid in the near future ! DYOR
Good enough for me ..... I'm in !
Hi when the new CEO joined it seems that many people were optimistic. There were very good speeches at the city, Strategy on long term. 3 phase plan. First year share went up quickly. But now in the 3rd year, where organic growth was promised, this is not happening. Change of strategy on ERP based on "Don't like SAP" is rubbish. PLM still not fully implemented either I believe. Is the management only good in sweet talks ? am I the only one to think this? Share has not grown for nearly 18months now.... so has Renold been a waste of time since end 2012 ?
Some nice buys by the FD this month. Why is the spread on this share so large?
Investors Chronicle have this as a buy....a good turn around situation ; and some of their picks go on to make nearly twice as much as predicted....I have KBC technology and Trifast....both have been excellent
cant believe how much this has gone up, I feel gutted now selling to soon.
