If the markets perceive it was good business for Clin their SP. could rise and enhance the offer, as its the paper makes up 55%. If the offer is not well received the offer becomes worth less than 82p.
Not great. 82 p per share
I've been involved in several takeovers over the years but none have acted out like this since the announcement. Instinct says to me the deal wont happen purely because of the reluctance of the SP. to rise.It could be argued that the initial rise was in expectation of what turned out to be solid results as we were advised to expect. Then there is the 5p drop off over the last 3 sessions. Of course it may be that a deal will be announced last minute when the exact value of Clins paper is known. Just doesn't feel right to me. Hope I'm wrong as booked an holiday on the strength one occurs.
Well I will settle for lunchtime. Do not forsake me oh my darling ....
tomorrow will be filled with an air of expectation, because i don't think the RNS will land at 7am, my bet is on a lunchtime release, failing that, it'll be after the market closes at about 16:45
Well down to the wire it seems. I say if they cannot offer us a good price then we carry on business as usual. Both good companies though it has to be said.
why would that happen?
Maybe coincided with clin holdings rns at 1153am
Thing we were briefly.
Are we suspended??
I don't know how many go down to the wire, i suspect more than we'd guess, but still, it does seem like the SP is on a consistent downward slide, almost like someone was already pricing in a withdrawal of interest, or, to make any low-ball offer look goo. I'm almost at the stage where i hope we tell them to sling their hook, because i was more than happy to continue holding before they stuck their beak in, so am more than happy to continue and let the current CEO continue with plan
slim, but i guess that's part of the risk/reward...
What percentage of offers actually go to the last day? Just asking.
Hi Robins, See my post from yesterday, i think it will drop a little in anticipation of the deadline... Cheers
Big order filling ;) well I hope so.
Deadline day is 5pm tomorrow. Why is our sp going down most days? Anyone have any theories?
got*
Clinigen go their RNS this morning......... a Form 8.3 lol !
Does seem odd to buy 1 share though, even with bots!
Some say it is a pending RNS. Do not believe it myself. Just joking.
Remind me 1 is a pending news RNS?
Personally I think Clinigen may have expressed an interest back in the days when we were 55p, and just and interest as SamJ says they're not in the "standard" position for a takeover. I think that both share prices will take a drop on 14th if no offer has been made and that now seems more and more likely as the 13th approaches. I also think it will drop a little towards the 13th too. If no offer I see the drop initially being overdone and testing the nerve of any new investors here (myself included) but this should be seen as a top up opportunity as you all have mentioned the long terms looks good here. All just IMO of course...
Samsung are you suggesting that at this stage they will have had access to books and all other sensitive information? At present an offer of any type is not on the table, access to information will only be granted when an offer gains approval otherwise beneficial price sensitive information could easily be gleaned from one's competitor practically free of charge.
There is a 1 trade over on the Clinigen site for all the 1 believers.
Hi SamJSung. The old management used to say that we had tremendous potential especially in our UL2L portfolio. I don't know how much we have to show them but if they get an idea of what we have then as you say a knockout price might be made. My mood has now changed from acceptance of a poor price to a great price. We shall se.
