SamJSung feel really thick asking you this but why is Clinigen going up in value good for us? Surely if we get part Clinigen shares with the offer, then if Clinigen share price has gone up Clinigen will say they are more valuable so we will be offered less quantity of their shares. And if we decide to hold the Clinigen shares they are at their peak price and may go down in value especially as some Quantum holders will sell their shares straight away putting downward pressure on the Clinigen share price.
The upward momentum of Clinigen shares appears to be unstoppable.. this can only be good for the final agreed takeout price for QP.
Institutions own 70% ish here. Its only clingen holders who would vote for a lower offer and even then I doubt if that would compensate them. I reckon they would struggle to get even 50% at an offer of £1. That would be a full year PE of less than 20. This company is growing well and its all profit making. Debt is continuing to fall as well.
A theory and nothing more...To complete the full takeover of a company the Bidder needs to acquire (I think) 90% of the shares.. Once 90% has been reached they can compulsary acquire the outstanding 10%... But if they cannot reach the magic 90% marker.. then the bidder has to contend with all manner of issues with regard to minority holders possibly including Court Action in an attempt to resolve... No Bidder wants to have any of these issues hanging over their head... I would there offer a view and nothing more that Pitchcroft and others might well attempt to act as an individual or collective stopper of any proposed takeover unless the takeout price is more than acceptable ...This in a way can benefit smaller shareholders who would not have the individual clout to resist what might be considered by some an unacceptable offer... It is but a theory !
I say make an acceptable offer or bugger off. p.s what are the Pitchcroft guys up to ?
Clinigen have not yet made an offer. I expect that the Board 's position is that they cannot share anything with Clinigen until a firm offer is on the table. I calculate £1 a share to give a market cap of around £185 million (there are 15 million shares due to staff) which would be too low. By bringing forward the results the BOD have put pressure on Clinigen to get on and make an offer acceptable to management or go away.
rylidan, samj, robins. I agree with you all, l sub £1 is unacceptable. However i would expect the current board execute their plan would yield more than this within the year. I would happily vote against. I wonder what the board think? Can they only comment after an offer has been made? Or could they comment now if they wish? other questions going round my head are how much does Clinigen know about the pipeline and its value (that perhaps we dont). Specifically the called large product mentioned in the half year results.
Might not be reading the notification correctly but if Pitchcroft Capital have increased their stake why has the sp not gone up?
I will definitely be voting against accepting an offer of less than £1. Not that my 120k shares are significant here.
robins... I would also hope for around the £1.00 mark... The final value of the offer will likely depend on the value placed on Clinigen' shares and how much of the offer is share based ... Clinigen shares are currently riding high and may continue upwards during the period leading up to the 22nd Sept when I beieive a firm bid / withdraw decision has to be made...
SamJSung i know you know this company well. What offer price would you be happy with. I would want over £1.00 but don't think we will get it.
Just a theory and nothing more...the continuous dribble of share sales is enough to stop QP share price rising signifcantly from around the 70 p mark ...and thus any bid (if at all) from Clinigen using their highy valued / rated shares will look signifcantly more attractive to current owners..and therefore more likely to accept
Are not accumulating as that would push the price up. This is a recirculation of a small number of shares.
Without any doubt manipulation as almost all the trades are from the existing IAs. However they have nowhere near enough to force a buy out. And someone has bought large amounts at 75 and 77. After the results fair value is above this and a buyout premium also should be paid. Its all very well manipulating the price by volume buys and sells. Its a totally different matter to get enough shareholders to accept a lowball offer. Id be very happy to let chris rigg continue to transform this conpamy.
Nearly 5 times as many Sells as Buys and share Price closes 0.5p higher than yesterday at 69P.. Now what does that tell you ... Remember the Forms 8.3/ 8.5 continue to show sells buy Institutions and others... All sells are being hovered up by Clinigen and its associates.. I suspect that the size of the sells must rise if Clinigen are to get near 29,9% before launching their bid...
Looks to me like the old boys network working. Sod those that paid over a £1.00 per share after admission to aim. We are just starting to blossom and the board agree to an offer of 80 to 90p per share. Only my thinking but fear it may happen.
CLinigens takeover strategy is in full swing.with friendly associates consistantly selling small and not so small blocks of QP shares.. Forms 8.3 and 8.5 give insight into their share dealings... Driving down the price is the obvious way forward whilst driving out weak holders..
what are these RNS's all about, just people trading in larger numbers? - Form 8.5 (EPT/RI) - Quantum Pharma back in today with 500 extra shares thanks to PFG, scatty share that...won't be going back in any time soon!
i go to work at 07:30 smiling, thinking that was a nice set of results in that RNS, and with the other interest being shown this should be a really solid day...... i get home now and we're 5.5% down ..... errrr wtf happened ?
Well done! A meagre 15% profit is netherless a profit. Im personally curious to see how rhis plays out. Clinigen is worth 10 times quantum so i can see thar a 2% rise in clinigen offsets a 4% fall in quantum. Its a dangerous game though. Anyone could be waiting to make a play here. If clinigen lose out here their price will most likely tumble. With those results our current price is easily supported. Weve grown revenue and cut out the loss making elements. Thats quite an achievement.
Sold at 69p to invest in PRG, bought there too late of course though. Hope to be back in a few days time ready for the offer or the future either way!
This should allow them to offer (if they continue with their Bid) a more attractive price without any excessive dilution of Clinigen equity.. Put another way, Clinigen's share price is both supportive of a QP bid.. and the stronger its equity the greater the chance of a successful outcome for Clinigen.

In these situations the sp of the offeror usually falls but in this case the price of Clinigen has risen seven days in succession! Strange.
I don't buy into this fall at all. topped up. seen shake outs like this tons of times. I am betting this is another
