"The Group retained a positive net cash position of €22.6 million at the year end." - Preliminary Results RNS “the Group has been negotiating compensation for the termination of a long term wafer supply contract. A satisfactory agreement has now been reached and this will result in a cash settlement of approximately €90m before tax” Todays RNS €90m before tax equi to £72M (After tax that is £54m). So in total they will have about £71m CASH in the bank….With 416m Shares in issue....it should mean 17p a share! Still a bargain at under 10p….but trade with care as always Looks good to me Bel By Belcourtoi"

Morning Sir. Please provide a link to ramp this up. Not even i knew that & i bought at 5.8p
They have no outstanding debt, just all profit
i came across this a while back and have had it on my watch list since then: http://www.investortrader.co.uk/02-2012/pv-crystalox-solar-2
I doubt it. I think it's day traders etc. Those of us who bought below 7p are still here and waiting for the big rise. This will increase more later when everyone wakes up :D
Agreed, the market cap is still well below the cash settlement, tempted to buy in here but need to research the company as I know nothing about them or if they have any debts and all that. GLA
It seems the big gainers have started off-loading, have they?
See it sustains the whopping 124% rise within an hour.
at last some ray of light
america has introduced tax on import of chinese solar pannels ,has pushed the sp of german manufacturer mentioned on doomberg this morning.
i've just taken a position here. even after the rise, market cap is only £38m... court settlement PVCS will receive 90m euros (£72.4m). can see it doubling again easily...
The company is to receive cash of Euro90m or £70m converted. The market cap is only £36m. There is no other debt. £70m is equivalent to 16.8p per share. This is an interesting stock.
90Million euro court settlement
If this opened at 7p and its only at 9p that doesnt suggest a 100% rise. surely it would be at 14p. Am i missing something here?
Anyone know why ? nice suprise for me only bought on a whim
I wonder where this is going???
At 7p live. Nice
CONT In the light of these continuing difficult market conditions the board remains committed to the cash conservation strategy which we announced in October 2011. Accordingly, the Group continues to operate at reduced wafer production levels and polysilicon production remains suspended at the Group's facility at Bitterfeld. In parallel the Group is accelerating its cost reduction programmes. As previously disclosed, the Group has been negotiating compensation for the termination of a long term wafer supply contract. A satisfactory agreement has now been reached and this will result in a cash settlement of approximately €90m before tax, which the Group will receive and recognise as income during H1 2012. The Group continues to believe that the medium-to long term outlook for solar installations is positive and therefore protecting the Group's capabilities and cash for the future remains of paramount importance. The Board will continue to review industry conditions on an ongoing basis in order to maintain the best interests of shareholders.
Interim Management Statement This announcement is provided in accordance with the UK Listing Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, for the period from 1 January 2012 to the date of this announcement. Trading conditions remain extremely challenging, with significant industry overcapacity and high inventory levels maintaining the intense pressure on prices which developed during last year. Spot wafer prices have fallen by 70% since April 2011 and are below industry production costs. As a result of this adverse pricing environment we have to date been unable to reach agreement on acceptable wafer prices and volumes for Q2 2012 with some of our contract customers. Consequently shipment volumes during the first half of the year are now expected to be in the range 55 to 70MW, which is below our earlier expectation of 80-100MW

Going to buy a good few more of these this week as a long term play. Got an average of 12p right now, but do feel the future will be ok. Not short term tho.
