Target price 15p! Peel Hunt upgrades PV Crystalox Solar from hold to buy, target price increased from 5p to 15p. http://www.stockmarketwire.com/article/4372353/FLASH-Peel-Hunt-upgrades-PV-Crystalox-Solar-from-hold-to-buy-target-price-increased-from-5p-to-15p.html Research looks good, might buy some early tomorrow.
Thanks for replying. I was thinking 3years as well :D The other court settlements they are pursuing could make things very interesting!
Yes I'm long term hold, but to get 50p I would say 3 years imo. But at this level today is still a very good long term investment & lots could happen over the next couple of months.
Worst case scenario is 15-20p share price. But I'm wondering if/how they could recover to over 50p 1day? Any experts out there have any thoughts? I'm thinking of a possible long term hold. Is any1 else?
Very interesting reading and good times ahead. Will be interesting what pvcs do over the next few weeks. Will be good for all shareholders
The more you look into this share the more it sounds like a NO brainier: 1-Compensation of 90m Euro ( £72m)) 2-Cash of 22m *(Net position)as at Dec 2011 (£17m) 3-Net assets of 300m as at Dec 2011 (£242m) 4-Positive operating cash flow 2011 of 11m Euro (£8m) 5-Total for H1 = more than 130m in cash (£89m) = more than 300m in assets (£242m) = Net assets of over 500m Euro (£331m) 6-No debt, no pension liabilities. 7- 412m shares in issue 8- £38m Market Cap!!!!!!! Cash in the bank alone should reflect an sp of 21p without the £242m worth of assets (58p). The board are considering different options in regards the £72m cash received to either return it as divident (17p a share) or buy back shares... Ect. Regardless what will happen looks like a Re-rate is due.... Bel
Until the downturn is over and the outlook becomes positive, it is probably better to hold onto most of this cash windfall imo...doesn't stop a special dividend or buyback .. but I wouldn't use it all..
PVCS possible dividend or buyback. http://www.businessweek.com/news/2012-05-18/pv-crystalox-cuts-shipment-forecast-30-percent-after-wafer-prices-skid Broker update http://www.stockmarketwire.com/article/4372353/FLASH-Peel-Hunt-upgrades-PV-Crystalox-Solar-from-hold-to-buy-target-price-increased-from-5p-to-15p.html
After the rise yesterday this held up very well & do think this will keep going up on Monday when more people look into this cash rich company. Would though like to know the long term strategy of PVCS & what they are going to do in a way of future development of their products.
This should see further rises.... They have £89m cash ( No tax as its offset against losses) equi to 21p a share, they have no debts and should see a correction in sp towards realising value of cash... The fact sp held well means further rises should be seen next few trading sessions... Poeple need to realise we are not talking assets worth, or NAV but £89m CASH 9.5p right now will look like a steal when it correct it self... Might take few days but should keep going up... Best of luck all Bel
All I can say is happy days & hope today's rise keeps going on Monday. Topped up week or so ago & not far from break even now after buying much of this stock in the 50's. Good luck all on Monday and fingers crossed for another large rise to get near pvcs worth.
Torpedo your right, the bod sat back and lost the plot, in my view, I will be suprised if this improves that much but lets all hope
looking at the chart, if history repeats itself we could see 13-15p on monday.
obviously pvcs have problems otherwise their sp wouldn't have been languishing under 5p. before the 90m euro settlement, their assets were valued at 3 times the market cap. even if they shut up shop (which i doubt very much now), shareholders would receive a payment equal to twice the current sp. stonking value and could make a great recovery play imo.
Sorry to rain on the parade but as PVCS admits, the trading environment is challenging and their flagship facility at Bitterfeld is still in mothballs. The cash will be welcome but it is supporting an outdated technology in polycrystalline silicon and will soon be used up, with few orders coming in. The poor efficiency of silicon photovoltaics has always been a limiting factor, coupled with its high price and subsidy cuts it is doomed to recede into history. Organic light emitting diodes are being produced in PV form that offer twice the efficiency at a fraction of the cost of silicon. They can be printed or painted onto almost any surface and thus transform that surface into a generating area. Imagine, your car roof, an aeroplanes wings or even the entire roof of a building covered with a cheap electricity supply material. Where does that leave traditional producers given that this is not science fiction for the distant future but viable currently available technology, produced in the UK and the US. I would think very carefully before sinking any more money in PVCS but that is only my opinion and I may be wrong.
Going back up 9.33 to sell
Dropped to 9.11
Bit worried the Friday afternoon profit taking will drop it, or it might have peaked already.
Lots of buys looks solid
It should be on everyones radar, after it hits the Top Lists.
Seems like at no brainier after that RNS. I don't think it's been picked up on many radars yet
My 17p is a conservative value....I added Tax as per the RNS....20p is true Cash Value...We should see this take place as market will give is and reflect it in next few sessions....seen this happen many times....I have few in and will add after lunch today ... Monday should see a 20/30% Open at least...then onwards and upwards... Bel
with cash of these levels the company now becomes a takeover target. It has a large capital base which should add more to the share price...
A previous post mentioned tax payable; I think PVCS has losses to cover. This mornings announcement, all things being equal should, put 17p onto the share price (ie take up to over 20p). It may take a week to reflect this properly. Even on a discounted basis it should hit 15p easily.
We mite see a 200% rise here today
