Porvair profits ahead of expectations Date: Tuesday 05 Apr 2011 LONDON (ShareCast) - Shares in Porvair jumped after the filtration and environmental technology group said pre-tax profits in the four months to 31 March are ahead of expectations following a good start to 2011. Revenues are up about 8% from the same period a year ago, borrowings have reduced and the order books have strengthened. Porvair, which designs filtration products used in aviation, energy, and other sectors, releases full-year results for the six months to 31 May on 28 June.
Does anyone know anything about this nuclear filtration story? Seems topical after Fukushima.

Looked at these with electricwarrior not long ago. I'll try to dig out our conversations. Seem to remember a director died and there was a bit of uncertainty. electricwarrior would definately know more than me though as he carried out most of the research.
Considering this. Goes Ex-div next week. Price has been stable to the point it is flatlining, but the spread just about covers the dividend. Anyone else thinks this is worth a punt?
HI guys, anoyone out there holding this one? Cheers
Hopefully will recover some more tomorrow. Good luck all.
Hopefully will stay at around this mark for today and then rise over the coming days and weeks. Good luck all
May even recover to 55p mark. Good luck all.
Long may the buys continue.
Lots of buys coming through, defo think the market over reacted.
This looks a fair punt. I think the market has over reacted to the news and the fact the company is willing to lay off staff and cut costs is encouraging for the future. Also it seems they have seen a slight rise in US market. Hopeful of this rising back to it's previous levels. Good luck all.
