Still under water here dave so won't be selling any until c. £7. We'll need plenty more good news to get that far. In the mean time, happy to keep collecting the dividend. How about you?
Any holders selling a few or top slicing on the back of the rise yesterday?
I am. currently. waiting. for. a"down day"- if it falls below. 500 I will buy. for. the. dividend
Having invested in this stock for some time, I understand that. Its share price defies logic much of the time, but maybe not this time?
Sometimes I have an overwhelming urge to buy POLR and and other times I absolutely detest the share.
At last I have become Warren Buffet's apprentice..
AUM jumped £2.3bn (+12%) over Q4 of FY24 to £21.9bn on 31 Mar 24, which is 12% above our previous forecast of £19.5bn, and +14% y-o-y growth (AUM 31 Mar 23: £19.2bn). In turn, our FY24 revenue forecast increases from £188.4m to £191.6m (+5% y-o-y, FY23: £182.9m).
PBT rose from £50.1m to £52.1m (+15% y-o-y, FY23: £45.2m) and basic EPS from 38.3p to 39.8p (+8% y-o-y, FY23: 36.8p). The EPS revision translates to a forward PER of just 11.5x
Investment performance was the booster for AUM in Q4, adding +£2.3bn or +12%, but for us probably most pleasing update was a return to positive, albeit modest, net flows in the quarter of +£56m. Moreover, Polar reported strong net flows in March (+£228m).
For the sector, there are signs of an improving outlook for UK and European equity and active management fund flows. For Polar Capital we think that its PER has clear potential for a re-rating and our fundamental valuation increases to 650p/share (42% above the current share price).

Having said that, AuM update has just dropped, its up 14% over the year.
Full year earning release - 24 June 2024
POLR AuM update must be due within the next 7 days, anyone know which day? Should be very interesting to see if the inflows have picked up significantly....fingers crossed....
Appears market manipulation down here....last day of tax year....mmmm....me thinks it's going to fly next week with 2024 ISA inflows...;-)
Looks like POLR is breaking out today, with fund inflows likely to have rebounded strongly in Q1 and the fact many are looking to invest in good, well managed profitable companies paying high yielding dividends before this year's ISA deposits close and for the start of the 2024 ISA. A huge re rate is on the cards here imo, could add 20% quite quickly and before this year's ex div date in the summer months. GL all.
Let's see if this move above 4.50p holds, could do with some volume now to back it up. Breakout could well be on pre AuM update in April...;-)
Volume is increasing in POLR now, keep an eye on it....;-)
IMO POLR is going to be a huge takeover target this year, next AuM update should be positive and the current SP and market cap isn't reflecting it imo....could get very interesting here soon...;-)
The market is trying, and failing imo, to get weak margin holders to sell by triggering stops using their constant little algo trades, the bigger volume trades are mainly buys imo, good buying opportunities here when they drop the SP
They own a chunk of Wincanton plc, where there is a bidding war by the looks
Hello, is the beast finally awakening?
HL. Is down … one of those sell on the news declines IMO.
Geez....this share is frustrating.....surely should be rising with the market....seller in the background or MMs working a deal...either way it should be much higher than current SP.. .
Should, finally, see a decent rise tomorrow after those impressive NVIDEA results, US flying after the close tonight...;-)
Topped up @438p today, looks a decent opportunity before the next leg up with markets picking up again after the mini sell off this week.

Well POLR should be flying in my view with the US tech marching up strongly, there seems a lag here and AuM should be doing well this year....something has to give soon....a re rate well overdue here...
MMs appear to holding this share back, no wonder the UK market is bad, the MMs need to let shares go...
