All, I tried to see messages on here before 2 pages back but can't !! Has LSE now blocked this as one of their new great strategic ideas along with limiting access to trades and making adverts even more intrusive and annoying for non members ?
Whoever it was they put their money where their mouth was

“I think this this was just the lemming effect and miss the boat reaction to a price rise, unless some mysterious news pops out.”
There’s nothing more positive in markets than a hefty rise driven by huge volumes.
As we saw yesterday.
Maybe Elliot or some other stock operator has bought a large stake.
Wonder who would bid for PHNX ?
HH88, Penalties aren't high enough and those who cheat, etc... take a Risk Cost v Benefit approach. Even the banks that are fined millions doesn't usually unseat those responsible and it's not the latter's money so hay ho !!

Well with those volumes it certainly wasn’t PIs chasing the price up!
AAL climbed before any news was published so if it looks like a pig, smells like a pig etc.
From what I can see of the authorities they are as toothless as the ones in football & quite probably the two teams who recently admitted cheating in the Prem will still be there next season.
I think this this was just the lemming effect and miss the boat reaction to a price rise, unless some mysterious news pops out.
Do not forget BOE has made it 100% clear it is all about the inflation inflation no matter what happens to the economy.
On the speculation on some news and the volume ,I do not think any corporate trader would risk any type of inside knowledge trading no matter the profit unless they were desperate due to the fall out from the FCA this is just my view maybe they would..
On a side note why would anyone buy a stock when it up 7 or 8 or even 9% with little to no news is beyond my understanding.
Do I believe it undervalued yes but it just bonkers the way the market reacts.
I missed the spike up yesterday ........I'm seven hours ahead of UK time in Asia.
Early morning 488p ish to 531p ++ increased volume!!
I expect to read some speculative articles over the weekend.
Rumors about Aviva many months ago woke the market up.
BHP made a play for AAL only a few weeks ago and GLEN rumoured to join the bidding or parts of AAL
UK-listed shares are under-valued....IMO
gla
Is what true?
Is this really true?
I used my abdn and NatWest divis plus a bit of cash to top up Bt group , but wish I’d bought here yesterday!
I have 2300 shares here. I’ll reinvest my divi tho
I notice that the market reports in the financial press have skirted around the Phoenix rise, like it didn't happen, so clearly they are at a loss to explain it.
I agree 100 % that they have kicked the can down the Thames and now it is time to go shopping for real bargain companies to show up and make good on their deeds. interesting weeks ahead for potential T/O for sure..
Stronly!! A few beers too many, a good day to celebrate!
Looks like our market is set to fly on Tuesday. A nice change, and perhaps there’s news coming for Phoenix!
Got to be in it to win it.
GLA for those that are holding.
Absolutely.
FWIW I think that now the worm has finally turned there will be a number of t/o approaches with London valuations so low.
Wow, something is cooking that was some volume spike of 10m shares the highest volume traded for the past 3 years 👀
Legal & General is touted for its dividends and you can just about guarantee it will drop by more than the dividend. At least more often than not.
Well, most of the time, only always, lol. 😂 😂 😂
Yes deepjoy, I also like selling shares before they go ex-dividend as well. Most of the time, the drop will be bigger than the dividend. Buying them back afterwards usually is a little better off than staying to take the payout.😂😂😂
Seen-it... I did the same before GCP divi day last week as the last three times the ex divi day went badly and led to solid selling. Guess what this week it didn't it held the level... things are changing in the market that is for sure and with a £3m UT trade to close higher than the ask; this has legs (i hope)
Rest of the week average was 1-2M/day.
This is not normal!!
Will buy my shares back when it settles down later.
Sorry, summit too early by mistake...
Usually the SP always will fall back after a sudden spike. So, I took the opportunity and sold @524.5.
Usually the SP would always fa sudden spike
