I gave indications on price targets if the trend continued its rise, its now hitting all those targets, at 80p I was still instructing my friends who are interested to keep buying, this has been an incredible turn around for PFD, and all the holders, not worked out my exit yet, will wait for sale proceeds of Hovis to see impact on share price, 130.00 I predict.
I have been keeping eye on banks LLOY & NWG I think they have bottomed & started to turn round with talks of re-introduction of divis ,I sold a lot prior to pandemic so keen to get back in , divis prior to this gave 6-7% yield. When back to normal I will be moving back into more blue chip companies to get my reg income back again . Big in BOO currently but even with an outstanding report share price still dropped so i may just treat myself like dogger ! Yep lots to think about if I do free up some cash but 100 + still pinching myself
Ah tbe irony kallumama ;-) happy 7 year high
I bought a very fast car with the last lot......having loads of fun
2nd lockdown never going to happen ! More likely increased social restrictions
With winter approaching I cant see why anyone would want to go out as offen as they once did. Dinner parties and nights at home is the safest place. Good news for food manufacturers.
Same here......will probably Wait for the Hovis outcome and the half year results.....hope I don’t regret it !!!
PFD has certainly stepped in something & coming up roses once again.
Must admit my trigger finger has been armed to take some more profit from my holding.
Premier Foods sold a 51 per cent stake to Gores Group in 2014 and the embattled food group has since written down the value of its remaining 49 per cent stake to zero.

The £100 million-plus auction of Hovis received a boost today after the baking group circumnavigated the impact of the coronavirus crisis to report an increase in demand.
The breadmaker, which is controlled by the US investment firm Gores Group, said that over the past 12 months it had lifted its market share from 20 per cent to 22 per cent and that it was “well placed to capture further market share in the UK’s £4 billion bakery category”.
Now we're motoring... great rise today and yesterday. Makes me wonder if some news is about to drop.
Has the city got wind of the hovis sales bids ? I cant believe this increase in price is based on a 2nd lockdown which I still dont believe will happen, well not in the same way anyway
Hill not as steep currently !
Hill not as steep currently !
Nice rally at end of day PFD share price rise is now really like pushing a bike up a steep hill currently ! Hard
Nowt wrong wi' flat cap'n'slippers.
Pension, hovis , debt pay down, increased sales .
Isn’t there also a, hopefully, good outcome on the pension scheme mergers?
I think you have to push you bike up a steep hill to appreciate it ! It probably tastes bland now as there is so much choice these days . I t would be nice to have some dates in the diary for Hovis for us to look forward too. Once sold off the only thing to push this up further is divis.
Haha , but you are right it seemed to of had a more richer taste , seems bland now ?and white bread has an added sawdust flavour Or is it our taste buds ? because getting older I have a taste now for stronger cheeses that I wouldn’t touch with a barge pole in the 80s ( where’s my flat cap and slippers )
s it me , or does Hovis taste nothing like it was when we were young ,
What's the point in asking that question on here when many posters act like 4 year olds, so they wouldn't know the difference. LOL.
which ebitda are they using, pre-ifrs16 has not moved much. agree 2020 will be interesting.
Is it me , or does Hovis taste nothing like it was when we were young , it has a sour taste and very dry texture. It needs a rethink and reformulation by a good tasting panel to get it back to how it was .
What is disappointing about them ?
58% increase in ebitda......and that is before all the virus *******s started
disappointing 2019 Hovis results

Im waiting for the Hovis deal to be done. I saw the news about the bids, and in the curent climate sales will be good. Dont see this reducing anytime soon with a move to home working. Good rise today, nice to see . £1 wont be far off, predictions are 1.20 to 1.30, will have to wait for the results in November, but more likly next year. Winter will be a big boost for us.
