Can see this share attracting a lot of positive interest over the coming weeks. Good times ahead IMO
Monday 21 September should be when Pfd moves up so probably a combination of good positive news all coming together and they cannot hold it back and it feels good holding Pfd ( not like the old days )
Thanks, i didnt realise it was today, thats good news in itsself. The rest of the market isnt good, but expexting good things
Maybe the combination of joining the Ftse250 and hovis possible sale , also the beginning of our busy
season ( Xmas mince pies ) here we come : )
Anyone know what the rise is ? Been quiet on here recently but waiting fir tye price being paid for Hovis and what PFD will do with their 49 % of it. Nice rise , so thinks something will come soon. Any ideas ?
It’s true there will be a lot more hypochondriac‘s
after Covid eventually moves on . !
The missus had covid back in June and I had to self
isolate also but still none the wiser if I had it or not ?
Just told the daughter to get around the mother in laws quick : ) ( joke )
However the silver lining PFD benefited with a good boost in sales and paying down debt , so now looking good going forward into the FTSE 250 ahead of schedule so we must be thankful and also an added spin of several suitors now lining up for hovis bread .!
My other 2 shares ODX ( covid testing )is on target
and SIG ( SHI ) specialist building materials is due it’s
results the same day as PFD moves up , so hopefully a triple boom over the next week.
GLA
Wait till the weather turns wetter and colder. Similar to the common flu in that respect. Impact will always be much greater during the winter months unfortunately
Sky news last night

I would say some news has definitely broke in the city. Rises like this don’t happen for no reason. And the city always know before we do.
Great timing with relist ftse 250 perhaps we will hit 100 much sooner any idea when the winning bid is released ? Again perhaps the city think its going to exceed £100 mill by quite a bit. Ducks nearly all in a row,
Bounce today. I wonder to what extent the Hovis sales is now priced into the Pfd SP ?
Views ?
The firms are among about six parties that have lodged indicative bids for the company, according to the report.

see what comes of this.
if bids only £100m, premier should buy the 51% themselves with the profits from lockdown, but suspect the offers will be much higher

But deaths & hospital admissions still down at peak lows. My friend in his 60 's just getting his hip replaced had the test & found out he had it , didnt have a clue. Breaking news if you are scared of your shadow !

BREAKING: Latest data shows Covid-19 cases are now doubling every 7 to 8 days in the UK with an R rate of 1.7.
IMO these shares will be plus 100p by December due to the inevitable second lockdown. COVID-19 will not be resolved until late 2021 and by then people’s habits will have been fundamentally altered in the same way that working from home will become the new norm. At 80p a share there is still plenty of upside to be had.
Probably just consolidation from the massive rise from 25p. Can't go up in a straight line. It's actually bang on the lower trend line from the rise from March so it'll be interesting to see if it bounces up or breaks below...
Any ideas whats going on ? Is it cause oasis and paulson may sell that we have gone down a bit ? This is usually a good month
Cant beleive I bought at 32 and they started going down, so cashed in... gutted. Any other tips?
Anyway back to PFD.... I do get the impression this maybe being pushed down, ready for another push soon. Too much talk of 2nd wave at the moment, so less eating out again. Plus the hovis sale and plus the FTSE 250 index news....
Good time to top up ....
Not a shock its only investing on a much bigger scale still good things going to happen to with PFD for sure . But a lot of views is that our large rise in price already includes ftse 250 return & reduction in debt scenario. I agree 100 by end of year but hopefully PFD will reduce debt further. I think the market is waiting for the hovis deal ! Hope a few of you guys got on my safestyle tip ! Another double up !
ABF results irrelevant. ABF make bulk of profit on Primark whose shops were shut during CV and have no on line offering.
PFD Q2 results should be good with increased supermarket sales with people eating at home; comfort foods (Kipling etc) and renaissance in home baking.
I can see this being 100p+ by end of year, especially if Hovis 49% stake reduces debt further.
Gradual decline in share price from mid 90s to 84p is just algo trade moving price around on low volume to shake out weaker PI hands.
Definitely a hold for me and may get some more if price drops below 80p.
Rich
As expected, income expected to be considerably lower at ABF due to Primark closures, although strong results on food sales, especially sugar and baking products including overseas.
Hopefully bodes very well for PFD which wasn't restricted by store closures
Really ?
FTSE 100 down 0.89%
FTSE 250 down 0.6
PFD down 3.63 %
Have either of you looked at the rest of the stock market today? It's just a general sell off.
