Thank heavens my purchase has gone up today along with Sareum. I need this as I am in shock, just had an e-mail from Shell energy ,they are increasing my monthly payment for gas and electricity from £112 to £225 per month from April due to costs or maybe greed. Anybody else had this bombshell dropped on them today , not good for my Angina ! Half a tank of diesel for a simple 1.5 litre Citroen Picasso yesterday £55. 00p . Saw diesel at 186.9 p at one filling station , and people filling up , the Worlds gone mad. Spread and scrape on the horizon .
Cheered me up yesterday to see the sign written taxis in Liverpool with Pretty Little Thing and Boohoo plying their trade in the City . I am still in full support of this Company , and recovery will come in time. They are producing clothes the young girls want to wear .
Much better than I expected , so hopefully the share price will increase today . The only worry going forward is going to be the energy price hikes, but all brick makers throughout Europe will have the same problems , so prices will have to go up .
Sad , but going back prior to decimalisation , I still convert shopping back into pound shillings and pence , and then say HOW MUCH ! Don't start me on diesel and petrol , currently £7.10s.2d. a GALLON.
The Russian people have got to get rid of this madman . I hear his family are now in a nuclear bomb proof bunker in Siberia , for all we know he might be there as well ! Have we not learnt our lessons with Hitler , these types will stop at nothing !
Went shopping last night and did a food comparison with prices going back three months . Not a great deal of difference , apart from orange juice and Olive oil spread margarine. . I keep my receipts for a few months, so this is accurate for my weekly shop which does not vary very much from week to week. No doubt if the war continues there will be hikes in food prices to come. Bought Diesel at 159.9p , but a filling station down the road is charging 168.9p
RE: Average UK property tops record £260,000 as house prices accelerate by 12.6 per cent02 Mar 2022 07:59
I cannot see how house prices can continue this crazy price increase ,as inflation and the cost of living is going up so fast . There must come a time when people realise that inflation is destroying their net pay , and then they will not be able to meet their monthly outgoings . Petrol up, all types of insurance up, parking charges up , congestion charges up, general rates up , water rates up , rail fares up, food dramatically up , the list is endless . We are heading for a disaster . But O.K. for our M.P's with a huge increase for them !!!
