HS2 we cannot afford, so stop the project . Two and three quarter hours from Liverpool Lime Street to Euston is perfectly alright .and works . Smart Motorways they were told would lead to people killed on motorways , and it did ,and only now are they thinking of reversing the decision after many have died after countless millions wasted on the project They now think rather than road tax , we should all be charged for the time of day we travel on roads , the technology to do that will cost billions , and we will have to install it in our cars and van and wagons , total madness ! The answer to road funding is to tax electric cars , after all only the rich can afford them, and so can afford to pay . STOP WASTING MONEY , live within our means , if only these people had common sense . We could in fact do a windfall tax on energy companies , but as Truss worked for Shell --- ? .I will never vote Conservative again.

Yes, money wasted on statues and memorials . On another subject , I was shocked at the weekend when my Son told us that they had to buy a stationary pack from the school for their year three child to start the new term , as the school cannot afford to issue the items. The pack contains biro , pencils, rubber, ruler , note book , exercise books , scissors , whiteboard markers etc. This is yet another added cost on top of uniforms for both kids . I How times have changed !

But beware as soon as they achieve this goal they will charge whatever they want as a monthly fee for you to have a bank account . There will be no more free banking and no more free monthly bank statements , only a monthly fee and a charge for all transactions. The banks are not and never will be our friends !!! Have just read up about GSK Dostarlimab , absolutely remarkable results , hopefully this is the breakthrough we have been striving to find to attack this form of cancer . Expensive but worth every penny. Made my day !
