and therefore their over reaching ability to make sure the knowledge and potential is shared and done in a manner to increase our ability to manufacture antibody tests. the groups is made up of research, manufacturing, realisation from theory to practice asap. the antibody test is the key part of the exit strategy that is needed asap and the full population and regions will need this over several years
Interesting to note that there hasn't been a news article on this yet (mainstream news)....yet being the key word.
They are quite short of cash, so possibly a share placing? Goverment grant even?
No need for any share placing to raise any cash here. This project is backed by the UK Government. The UK Government will fund the entire project this no need for any share placings this time with this one.
Totally agree, if a test is developed there is no way it wouldn’t get manufactured due to money, this is one of the biggest drivers towards an exit strategy that the uk has, it’s worth billions in economic revival
Potentially a killer blow to ODX / Mologic if true and a major problem for reopening the economy...
https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bloomberg.com/amp/news/articles/2020-04-25/catching-covid-19-may-not-shield-against-new-infection-who-says
"There is currently no evidence that people who have recovered from Covid-19 and have antibodies are protected from a second infection"
Nor is there evidence to suggest that people with antibodies are not protected. Ultimately the only way to gather enough evidence to decide either way is antibody testing in a huge scale, so that we can determine if those with antibodies get infected again.
There are loads of articles like this dotted around the internet and they are all "maybe", "may","possibly","might". the only way to turn these suggestions into answers is a lot of testing.
C`mon its a scientific fact that you develop antibodies after contracting a viral infection that then gives you immunity for varying spans of time.Your de bunking attempts are laughable
I was watching an interview on BBC this morning with a Cambridge professor who was saying they have no idea yet how people with antibodies will react and at what level of immunity and how long for.
He said that’s why it’s so difficult to produce a vaccine because they don’t have enough data to go on.
He said the only way to get enough data to develop a vaccine is to obtain more data from people with antibodies and for that we need more antibody testing he said.
Developing a vaccine is difficult because too strong and it kills people. Too weak and it doesn’t provoke sufficient antibody reaction to provide immunity.
He said mass antibody testing is required and monitoring of people with various levels of antibodies to see how they react and how long immunity lasts.
It’s all very preliminary currently but one thing is clear: Mass antibody testing is happening. Deal with it.
Piper, thanks could you give me a steer where I can find this interview, BBC news or Breakfast
Cheers
But hey this makes more sense than NO antibody testing. Would no antibody testing move us forward Shearclass? ;)
I did post this a few weeks ago..
90 patients in China who tested positive for the virus were hospitalised... they all recovered and left once they were tested negative... two weeks after they left they were all tested again and they were all positive. The WHO has said there is no evidence that once you have contracted the virus you can t cant it again... The China incident proves it. Test after test billions of times to literally hunt down the virus is the only way to completely eradicate it.
Can you please justify why you posted such an obfuscating statement ‘Potentially a killer blow to ODX/Mologic if true’!
Unfortunately, I cannot find any research evidence why this would affect the company’s development/future. Therefore, I would very much appreciate being signposted to such before, I make any further decisions on my investment strategy.
I thank you in anticipation or are you just being disingenuous?
Good luck all, stay safe and keep well.
YB
Oh the intention is VERY clear YB. But we've all seen it all before. And of course it also betrays a total lack of research and understanding about the two companies. But hey I'm not even going to even bother wasting my time any further on it.
Antibody testing on a mass scale is coming.
Dibs. It was on BBC breakfast at about 9am ish. He was a red haired guy at home in front of a stack of sophisticated electronic equipment that looked like sound mixing decks not sure. He was a Cambridge professor.
Cheers piper mate.
Hopefully it will be on again at some point. Maybe try iplayer.
Dibs; A lot of these muppets sold on Friday. They’re traders gambling there’ll be no early RNS and they can get in lower than where they sold. They need to beat the spread so they’re just trying to desperately spread doubt and encourage fear with this nonsense.
Good luck with that lads. See you Monday. I’ll be sat watching with my popcorn as you chase it up.
Two more Coronavirus briefings before Monday to let the cat out the bag and gov constantly talking about antibody testing.
John Hopkins University let it slip on their site on Friday that the gov has pre ordered 3.5 million antibody tests.
They’ve deleted it today and said it was a mistake in another tweet. They know they let the cat out the bag. News soon. GLA.

Ouch!
Why ouch lol you won't get in cheap so don't waste your weekend
If having covid 19 offers no future immunity, what's the point in an antibody)immunity test? Also reports of people getting this twice and over 30 strains so I guess that's why the ouch! No doubt this will still rise but is it purely hype is the question
Tony at least I consider the facts if you can get the virus twice and they're are 30 strains how do you build immunity seems quite simple to me? Answer the question
Nobody can answer the question because the data isn’t available yet. That’s why they are instigating a mass antibody testing program to obtain the data, answer your question and use the data to develop a safe vaccine.
1. From a commercial point of view, if antibody testing doesn’t prove or disprove whether you can catch Covid-19 again, why would any business or person pay for a test?
2. If the purpose of testing is simply to guide vaccine development, then surely the work is essentially R&D? As such, why would the margin on tests ODX provide to Mologic be anything than cost + 5%?
In summary, if antibody testing cannot provide an answer as to whether you can catch the virus again, it isn’t the golden bullet the government have been proclaiming it to be & IMO won’t generate meaningful revenue for ODX
Another bedwetter insecure in his own position who feels the need to come over here. Lol
Big sell off and retrace coming in these other Covids with overbought toppy Mcaps. Only ODX is in a scheme with guaranteed government orders. The rest of you are full of speculative hot money. ODX by far the lowest Mcap at £50Mill and by far the most attractive risk v reward profile.
The 30 strains discussion is only part of the picture.
There may be multiple genetic mutants out there but unless they mutate in the specific regions which code for surface proteins that antibodies are targeted against then they will be meaningless in terms of reinfection.
Any virologist will tell you that viruses mutate to become less lethal over time as killing the host is not a selection advantage for the virus.
