And interestingly, NWT's 23.1.23 final results also talk of an overlap between Access Control and HCM (human capital management):-
23rd Jan 2023 7:00 am RNS Final Results
" ... Internationally, the emerging overlap in HCM and Access Control creates a new cloud-based opportunity for combined solutions, and together these represent a very large market for our future growth. ...
By offering secure cloud control of people's access, time keeping and identity data at work, we are shifting the strategic value paradigm, raising the customer focus from its former dependency on hardware 'clocks' and 'access terminals', to one that empowers the intelligent enterprise. Through our solutions, customers will gain the capability to enable and connect a broad range of internet-enabled devices securely in the cloud with unified software control - creating a trusted ecosystem in the workplace. ..."
https://www.lse.co.uk/rns/NWT/final-results-fjybevmguogyzsg.html
So potentially, Protect Duty generated business for NWT could also perhaps encompass NWT-GT HCM business.
The Grosvenor Technology Protect Duty article just published complements a Safetell article on the same subject published in June:-
"The Impact of Martyn’s Law/Protect Duty on UK Businesses
28 June, 2023
... If the bill passes, more than 650,000 UK businesses will be required to enhance security controls, including commercial businesses, nightclubs, and publicly accessible venues. This may include installing mandatory physical updates such as bollards, intruder detection technology, tactical CCTV, and extra secure entrances and entrance controls.
... Safetell offers a unique portfolio of entrance control products that cater to various needs and can be integrated with any access control system and directly address the physical requirements suggested in Martyn’s Law. ..."
http://www.safetell.co.uk/insights/the-impact-of-martyns-law-protect-duty-on-uk-businesses/
And indeed previously, NWT has focused on the Protect Duty opportunity for Safetell specifically:-
10 Sep 2021 07:00 AM RNS Final Results
"... OUR DIVISIONS - Physical Security Solutions division (previously Asset Protection division)
... Re-focusing our business and services
During a year that has brought unique challenges for many businesses, we have worked hard to transform the Safetell business ...
The new 'Protect Duty' legislation, should it become law, will mean that the owners and operators of businesses and public spaces such as concert halls, shopping centres and parks will be legally bound to protect their sites and shut them down in the event of a terrorist attack. That means they will need remote locking facilities, screens on all their counters, and even breakout facilities where people can get to and stay safe. We anticipate that many new opportunities will open for us to support businesses that need to comply with such new legislation. ..."
https://www.investegate.co.uk/announcement/rns/newmark-security-plc--nwt/final-results/6774438
But this is clearly a huge opportunity not just for Safetell, but for Grosvenor Technology as well.
And moreover, these two subsidiaries will be able to complement-support each other on this.
The related areas of entrance control and access control are a good link between Safetell and GT, so both sides should already be benefitting from referral business between the two.
"Entrance Control vs Access Control
10 February, 2021
Entrance and Access Control are both necessary elements to control who enters and exits any premises or secure area, but do you know the true difference between the two?
Access Control
Access Control refers to the selective systems that are used to verify authorised personnel ...
Entrance Control
Entrance control is the physical system which actually prevents or allows entry into an area when the decision has been fed to it by an Access Control system. ..."

"Martyn’s Law and Access Control – Being Ready for The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Bill
... The Role of Access Control
More than ever, full-spectrum comprehensive access control is a must. One major consideration is that of lockdown functionality; the ability to prevent access across all or part of a site to secure specific areas is essential. This includes:
– Preventing and delaying the progress through the building of any intruders
– Foolproof anti-passback systems
– Personnel tracking
– The ability to create safe corridors for passage
– Providing secure access for emergency services
– Comprehensive reporting for management needs
– Integration with other surveillance and security systems
Only systems with a dedicated centralised access control system can provide the level of functionality that the bill demands.
Developing JanusC4 for the Future
At Grosvenor Technology, we already offer our JanusC4 system that provides the security needed to meet the requirements of Martyn’s Law, but that doesn’t mean we can sit quietly by. As industry innovators, it’s our mission to continuously look forward and anticipate the demands of tomorrow’s environments.
Development is ongoing to continuously refine and improve our products on both a hardware and software level, with the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Bill at the centre of the conversation. By understanding both the purpose of the bill and the needs it creates for our end customers, we are working to stay at the forefront of security for our changing world.
Supporting the Introduction of Martyn’s Law
Upgrading to the latest estate-wide door security and access control systems is only one step on the path to true compliance with Martyn’s Law. The bill requires the development of security plans and processes to be put into place, as well as the full training of staff.
At Grosvenor Technology, we understand that it’s not enough to just supply the product and that compliance with the new law requires full, dedicated support; we are ready to provide exactly that to all our customers and welcome the improved safety for all that this bill represents."

And another great new article just added to Grosvenor Technology's website: on the UK's forthcoming Protect Duty legislation:-
"Insights
Martyn’s Law and Access Control – Being Ready for The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Bill
As industry innovators, it’s our mission to continuously look forward and anticipate the demands of tomorrow’s environments.
Paul Smith
Head of Quality & Compliance
As a leading manufacturer of security technology, Grosvenor Technology has always held safety and security in high regard – after all, it’s at the heart of what we provide. So, the pending introduction of a new law designed to enhance the security measures in public spaces is very much welcomed.
Martyn’s Law (properly called The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Bill) will come into force across the UK and will see a higher demand put on our industry to deliver on the requirements stipulated.
Here, we consider the implications of the bill and what needs to be done to ensure we’re ready to rise to the call.
What is Martyn’s Law with Respect to Building Security?
The core premise of Martyn’s Law is to reduce the impact of any terrorist attack on public venues in the UK. It ensures those premises are prepared and that measures are in place for the safety of all occupants. Any site that holds more than 100 people must have these processes ready to comply with the law once it comes into force.
For building security, this represents a clear need to ensure access control is appropriately tight and well managed. Section 15 of the bill dictates that security measures must be in place to reduce the risk of physical harm to individuals in the premises in the event of an act of terrorism and specifically covers measures in relation to the movement of individuals into, out of, and within the premises.
Access Control and Martyn’s Law
The two greatest areas of focus for providers of building security systems are:
– Maintaining premium quality security
– Providing comprehensive access management
The Quality of Security
Ensuring that security is without compromise should not be in question – it is the very centre of the system’s purpose. A full assessment should be undertaken to confirm the true measure of security, and problems such as card cloning must be addressed, with building managers needing to consider upgrading legacy systems with more robust encryption-driven hardware and software that better represents the first-class capabilities of today’s premium access control. ..."

So another NWT rise today: up 1.5p (2.61%) on the day, closing at 59p (55p - 63p): which is not only another new two-year closing high, but also a new two-year high period, i.e. exceeding the previous two-year intraday high as well.
And the 62.9p paid for the last buy today is well over the previous high paid this year (60.75p in August).
The last of the sub-60p NWT stock available has now gone, and just a penny rise will see a long-overdue NWT move into the 60s.
NWT's presentation on Thursday of next week will be immediately followed, in the same room, by SoundThinking, Inc. (NASDAQ:SSTI):-
https://www.soundthinking.com/
At its current s.p. of US$23.63, SSTI has a market cap of about US$300M., and is on a P/E ratio of nearly 50, which is a mark of the sort of generous ratings that US tech stocks tend to command:-
https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/SSTI?p=SSTI&.tsrc=fin-srch
Grosvenor Technology's results for its year ending 30.4.23, i.e. pre-tax profit of £2.196M. on revenue of £15.574M., combined with an SSTI-style valuation multiple, could potentially give it a market cap. of up to c. US$100M. in a US spin-out from NWT.

Interesting to see Dr. Benedikt Bessman singled out from other strategic investors and renowned business angels in this investment news piece a couple of years ago:-
"FinTech SideCaps closes € 1.8 million seed financing

High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), Innovationsstarter Fonds Hamburg (IFH) as well as strategic investors and renowned business angels jointly invest in the digital platform for large-volume equity transactions of listed SMEs.
Hamburg, August 19th, 2021

https://www.htgf.de/en/htgf-investment-sidecaps/
This suggests that he could be quite renowned and influential in German small cap tech investing circles, which bodes well for his attracting other German investors into NWT.
And the very fact that Dr. Bessman has chosen to invest abroad into NWT, despite having a vast number of domestic German companies to choose from, is quite a testimony to the exceptional quality & rarity of the NWT opportunity.
Dab - you're on fire, lol!
Well done & thanks for your efforts.
The new, transformed NWT should have been 'press tipped' already, and it's surprising that it hasn't been.
But if the mountain won't come to Muhammad, then Muhammad must go to the mountain.

I've flagged that the link to find out more is not working...
Benedikt pointed out that Wexboy had written about Newmark Security in 2014. I've dropped him a note on X flagging the opportunity of a multi-bagger. Here's hoping. https://x.com/00dab/status/1731972495475949736?s=20
I've written to Andrew Hore inviting him to take a look.
https://www.ii.co.uk/authors/andrew-hore
It only takes a few buys or sells to move the price by a good margin in either direction. The fact the bid price moved to 52 and traded at 54.5 is a good sign. A few articles about this share bring one to watch in 2024 would really help so I am reaching out to more AIM investment article writers.
Dab,
Nice to see tipster Charles Archer taking an interest in NWT today, following your recent recommendation to him:-
David Bitner says:
December 1, 2023 at 11:25 am
"Hi Charles, check out Newmark Security. They have a US division that is flying, USPs in technology and software, £20m of revenues that are shifting to re-occurring licencing which they plan to double in the next few years, enough cash in the bank and solid 25+ year track record. For disclosure I’ve increased my stake from 1% to 3% in the last 12 months."
Charles Archer says:

"Hi David, I will take a look in a couple of weeks – sounds interesting!"

Let's see what comes of this.
Well done Dab - the more the merrier!

At 55p, NWT is now very close to its two-year closing high of 56.5p.
Thanks Dab, and thanks for that very encouraging info.
Germans are renowned for their quality engineering and technology, so this additional new 'significant shareholder' in NWT is a terrific endorsement of the company's quality.
And Germany is a country of about 85 million people, so has a lot of investors.
And I'm sure they will like what they see if NWT is flagged up to them, so this could potentially be the source of some quite significant share buying here.
It's interesting that after waiting years for a new NWT 'significant shareholder' (3%+ holding), we should get two so close together ... a bit like buses.
But I don't think that it's entirely coincidental.
Great minds think alike, and 2024 could well be a breakout year for this share.
Good luck to us all!
I'm adding further to my list of people to follow and potentially engage on the opportunity here:
@EdwardSheldon7
https://www.fool.co.uk/2023/11/07/2-aim-growth-stocks-to-consider-buying-for-2024/
Good spot Hedgehog. Benedikt Bessmann reached out to me on Friday via X after I had posted to Charles.
" I'm shareholder since 2017 and have recently added a few shares to get over 3%. IMO the case is simple. GT is the valuable part of the business wise a profit of 2,2 Mill last fiscal year (market cap is 5 Mill!!!) This is eaten up by Corporate Cost (Newmark, CEO, CFO, Board) and the still loss making Safetell Business. I expect a Turnaround in Safetell which can thus offset Corporate and let Grosvenor shine. It's a matter of time, when this will happen. Best wishes Benedikt"
So Benedikt is in the same place as us. He is going to reach out to fellow German small cap investors.
If Charles and a few other investment analysts pick up on this we're going to fly. Good luck....

"Card Cloning – A Real Threat to Modern Building Security
... Encryption and Actually-Secure Security
At Grosvenor Technology, we work with the newest systems that incorporate high-frequency communication with strong MIFARE DESFire EV2 and EV3 levels of encryption. Data is transmitted between card and reader in a secure envelope with encryption that cannot be easily cloned, and thus truly provides the access control and security that is much needed. We have a range of options to upgrade existing building door security systems from ageing infrastructure, resistant to the best attempts of even the most dedicated hacker.
With the top-of-the-range EV2 and EV3 chips, you can expect;
Enhanced Security – evaluation assurance level 5+ certification
More Flexible Memory – unlimited simultaneous application use
Greater Read Speed & Range – varies on card type, but minimum expected distance is 10cm
Proximity Check – protects against relay attack
Of course, upgrading in this way doesn’t just improve the reliability of door security; it also brings your estate access control up to current specifications, offering seamless management over your site that includes CCTV, wireless locking, fire and intruder alarms, lift control, and properly tracked occupancy access.
Building Security for a New Era
It should be unacceptable to all of us for building security to be left open to the threat of card cloning and the subsequent easy access for intruders – especially when there is no need to do so. Contact Grosvenor Technology today to discuss incorporating the latest technology.

And now a brand new article just added to Grosvenor Technology's website: and it's another excellent one, this time on access control, further highlighting the cutting edge leadership of the company's solutions:-
"Insights
Card Cloning – A Real Threat to Modern Building Security
Thankfully, innovation has led to the development of encrypted solutions that provide the security that all environments can benefit from.
Chris Wrench
Senior Product Manager
One of the greatest security risks to your buildings and estates is that of card cloning. Sadly, technologies have existed for years that allow the swift copying of legacy cards and it is only becoming easier. Recently there has been a spike in card cloning using a range of devices, from specialist machines through to the versatile Flipper Zero. For security professionals responsible for access control systems, card cloning presents significant issues that seem insurmountable.
Thankfully, innovation has led to the development of encrypted solutions that provide the security that all environments can benefit from.
The Worst Case Scenario
You don’t need much imagination to consider the potential problems that card cloning creates. Systems installed to allow only approved personnel access can be circumvented – and the reasons for doing this are always nefarious. And it affects access control systems used in so many areas, from offices to university student accommodation to hospital buildings.
It’s not the fault of the security professionals; often, those partaking in illicit access have cutting-edge technology at their disposal. However, it is the responsibility of security professionals to meet this threat with equal firepower. And that means understanding and using advances in access control credential technology to combat the issue.
There are some security firms guilty of adopting a ‘carry on regardless’ attitude, which only serves to leave their customers vulnerable. With a solution so readily available, there’s no excuse for not adapting. So why are so many firms lagging behind?
The Problem with 40-Year-Old Technology
Keycard and fob technology has been around for decades, and many systems that are installed across the UK have existed for more than 40 years. And because these systems work well enough day-to-day, it can seem like an upheaval – financially and administratively – to make a change. There’s a mindset of ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’, but in this case, remaining ignorant of the risks that relying on the same basic unencrypted RFID communication presents can make you question the integrity that drives the decisions.
And we’re not just talking about the boot-on-the-ground access control companies; some of the leading names in manufacturing are guilty of pressing ahead with technology that can be breached. ..."

Great stuff Dab - thanks!
I don't post on X (formerly Twitter) - I find that two forums is enough for me (i.e. LSE & ADVFN).
So there is a 'gap in the market' for anyone who wants to start posting regularly about NWT on X.
I've found Charles on 'X' and made a comment on his article. I'm not really active on socials but he has over 4500 followers. If anyone else is active please like/promote it cannot harm us getting our company out there.
https://x.com/00dab/status/1730560202565370126?s=20
I've also sent a note to Marie-Claire with the post and the article suggesting she reach out to him to tell him more about who we are and what we do. It would be amazing if she does, we could reach a new audience if he were to include us in his list or write up his thoughts on us in a more detailed article.
As an update - An earlier conversation with Marie-Claire also confirmed that 1H results are nearly ready to go although they will go in the new year. An RNS of the publication date will be made ahead of the results. A research note is also being prepared. fft100, I provided your feedback on AGM/Trading update. She is keen to get more feedback from us so do share it. I am looking for more opportunities to promote us.
