Provident provided some good news today. Sector seems very profitable.
The economy has been pretty resilient so far and I was NSF should be doing well. Collections should be ahead of forecast surely and most other finance firms are posting stellar figures. When’s the next update due anyone? It could be very good.
Bored of it myself , was hoping there would be some rising improvements..
Any idea if this will go back to 6+ or should I just cut my losses?
they said ages ago there would be some sort of equity raise and now months later still no news on that
I wouldn't touch Amigo with a bargepole. Awaiting further material news on NSF before entering.
Does anyone know what’s going on with this ?
Come on Non Standard don’t let me down.
How tight is that....
Both NSF and AMGO going now... to the moon!
The share prices say it all, end of
Provident decision is a game changer imho. Means the courts are willing to accept schemes of arrangements. Surprised many more haven't cottoned on to what it means for the sector. I expect that when people do this will rerate in to the teens like last time. First target though is 5p.
Are you positive about any shares @candlehead? Your only posts are negative/deramping ones about Amigo, Provident and NSF?
Provident have just got shut of their ccd division because it was non profitable they are highly unlikely to buy nsf and go back into the business
Now that Provident have had their SOA approved by the court they are in a strong position to potentially buy out NSF. Let’s see. Bargain price at present and Everyday loans (part of NSF group) is a strong business.
Decent £10k buy showing up. Provident SOA today. If that gets passed should give a good rise here.
....well had to stick to my own advice and add a few :-))!
Keep a morning eye on these but as is plain to see no volume at all but this morning there was 1 solitary bid of only 100 shares @4.10 keeping it +4, thats gone and defence now rests with another lone bid of 3.72 for only 2700 shares then its a drop down to 3.52 and MM proper Canaccord (CANA) . Interesting PEEL put up highest bid and lowest offer this morning but quickly dropped down from 4.04 to 3.48. Doesnt look great in very short term if it stays like this but could rocket with the right news. Im always happy buying sub 4 which i can see again with no news.
AW - My view is that the £17m allocated is essentially a guess by the company. They know the market wants a number and they have produced one. But we still have no idea whether the FCA agrees with this figure. Hopefully the company has prudently over-budgeted, but until we see a response from the FCA we don't know.
Thanks for your response BL. So we don't know the percentage of redress that the £17m allocated in the accounts covers? Shouldn't that be something that the company are obliged to let shareholders know?
AW - we are all still in the dark on this.
In the meantime, the FCA seems to be trying to put the company under the maximum possible financial stress by taking as long as it can over the redress issue. There is nothing the company can do about this. The Regulator is in a position of total power.
Personally I hope that the Regulator accepts partial redress to be paid over several years. This will mean no dividends for shareholders over that time, which will please the FCA.
Hi all. Does anyone know if NFS are intending to pay the full redress amount to the claimants, or is it likely to be a reduced proportion aka Amigo? I hold a large number of shares and asked this question of the board, but go no response.
Signal RNS on its way ?
Are we going to see a rise over 5p on this !!!
Getting rather fed up dragging at 4p.
A difficult decision having waited a long time for news but weighing up uncertainty over whether FCA might increase redress and / or the dilution that a share issue if successfully negotiated could cause I’ve relinquished my modest 10,000 shareholding at 4.3019 but will continue to follow this share as I know a lot of you are in big time and though it would mean my decision was erroneous I’d be delighted to see you do well and make serious money on a bounce. I’m deep in RDSB so hope that my modest hit on sale of NSF will be well covered soon! DYOR and GLA
