hi storm, the question asked was china fully open for business and the answer is NO, not yet, if you like to check Wuhan is only partly open, and as you know this is where it all started, it would be good if china was open, but now it looks like the rest of the world could be closing, trump wants the USA open in 3 weeks does anyone think that's going to happen, there in sh-t street and trumps in cuckoo land.
I would still rather deal/trust the Japanese
Barwickman,
Yesterday the streets of previously locked-down Chinese cities are full of traffic, offices and shops are open and life goes on.
(This is what Trump is now trying to achieve.)
Not all foreigners are banned from entering China, just most.
The fear is that now that China is, allegedly, no longer having new cases of the virus they do not want a whole lot of people coming in and causing a 'second wave'.
It is quite possible that at the moment China is the safest nation in the world to live in.
Sort of ironic.
The internet is working.
The Chinese are open for business.
"Surely the news re Newsummit warrants an RNS"
If, the situation re Newsummit is detrimental to NFX in any way, then the company are obliged, under the disclosure rules, to inform the market immediately.
Thanks Soupdragon78,
SAR is currently 20%+ up on the day.
If you had have been a longterm holder of SAREUM, you would know that this is but just one item in their armory and the thing that 'minnows' always are short of is cash to keep aiming toward their real target. I quite accept that you probably got a huge amount of skin in this game, and you and a few others have no option but 'to talk your own book', even so, the continuing silence by our 'hero', the formerly loquacious Mr. Gooding, seems at best perplexing and worrisome.
With very best wishes to you, may you have all the luck in the world.
Surely the news re Newsummit warrants an RNS
Soup thats great research. But a bit depressing for us awaiting payment. I hope we are going to be getting some test results soon that may help lift the gloom.
Hi Soup if Newsummit disappear then we can sell the Chinese rights elsewhere to other Pharma's especially as proof of concept is there now.
We had written off the 2.5m here anyhow so we got money from them for nothing.
More importantly there is nothing holding us back for ROW rights and need to crack on with that.
Don’t expect anything from China unless through legal means. See below Q&A session from Yatai yesterday afternoon. (Sorry it blocks copy pasting relevant section.) basically yatai are saying that Newsummit has ceased operations and they won’t be funding it.

not fully open as no foreigner's allowed in from Saturday I think.
"Is China fully re-open for business ?"
You can bet your last penny, the medical industry and banks will all be open for business in China.
Is China fully re-open for business ?
Lots of postering and reassuring, putting a brave face on, but is it fully re-open ?
"China is now almost fully open for business"
Above comment is Key point of your post.
It's time to start delivering, Dan.
We can keep patting ourselves on the back , telling ourselves what a marvellous company we are invested in, as we have been for the past God knows how many months watching the sp reach 14p then drop back down to 4. But we will get no where til we get some ground breaking fresh news and get the constant heavy seller off our backs.
Just so much hot air atm
At these prices the lack of Chinese payment is well and truly priced in. I have continued to buy and pleased to have been lucky enough to do so.
I suspect legal letters will be with the Chinese telling them to pay or the licence will be revoked. We also have an on going discussion with the Japanese...if an RNS hits there will be a large rerate. We also have the ebers deal which is on going....loads of strings to our bow! Not a 1 hit wonder....fyi the cannabinoid market is expected to be billions in the UK alone.
Seperstely, any hint of a link with covid, and the sp could go ballistic....could our patented technology support the rapid launch of a product to reduce the effects of this terrible virus??? Our expert chemists could be working on something now....just imagine that...
I'm happy to wait for good news....Dan and the team have brokered some good deals....more to come imo.
All the best...
Storm, it looks like SAR need to speak to Dan as their deal is woeful compared to that which NFX had/has with Newsummit. Firstly SAR give global rights to the Chinese!!!, compared to NFX who only gave rights to China markets for Newsummit to use NXP001.
Secondly, SAR receive no percentage of future sales, they only get milestone payments and once they are do that it!
Thirdly, SAR give the patents over to the Chinese! For a total of £950k! Talk about a bad deal.
Finally, SAR haven't been paid a bean yet. NFX have received £1m in revenues from their China deal and are legally owed more.
Yes NFX have had issues with final payment, but that is down to the parent company of Newsummit having their own internal difficulties. Nothing that Dan or anyone else could do anything about.
Dear Mr. Gooding,
Greetings.
There is an AIM quoted small cancer research company called SAREUM, the market symbol is SAR.
Today they have announced the completion of a deal with a Chinese medical company.
Whilst I am unable to learn what cash is involved and so on, what it does confirm is that China is now almost fully open for business, despite overseas people still being banned from physically entering China.
Well Mr. Gooding, perhaps you may wish to contact SAREUM , I believe that they are located in Cambridge, and maybe they will be really kind and give you a heads-up on the best way to do business with the Chinese and get paid.
Best wishes.
