My Sisters just spent ten days in hospital with severe Jaundice , after ten days £££ and numerous tests , biopsy and a ct scan they still dont know what caused it, maybe a virus or a auto immune problem , wouldnt like to think what the cost was of her prolonged stay, my point here is reliable ,fast effective testing of patients for any illness is a money saver!! And it seems to me that the Chemists will be doing more routine testing in the future and that the future is testing . So forget about covid and get your finger out novacyt
I think they will too as a way of earning money.

Tests selling out...

Let's hope Nova are taking advantage of this situation but still no sign of weighty ads. I would like to think that everyone is working flat out but as usual communications with an element of flair are few and far between. Roll on a new CEO and the genuine article this time but Wakefield comes across as a deflated balloon.
ANTIBIOTICS
Would appear that yet again the govt are telling us porkies. Not only does this pharmacist claim there is a shortage , he claims he is having to pay over x5 the normal rate and will only be reimbursed one fifth of the cost .... so how many pharmasists can afford to keep buying it is the immediate question that springs to mind. Perhaps the govt is stockpiling it ?

Thanks for highlighting this Kaeren..
Once we realise the 'British government' is a corrupt organisation and penetrated by foreign agents.. we will begin to understand events on the ground
#itsthatsimple
@kaeren they've been experiencing an acute shortage of ABs (specifically paediatric) for a month now in the US and Canada. The government should have seen this coming.
Private eye rail against us making 65% margin on tests while penicillin manufacturer's jack prices up 400%. Some pigs are more equal than others.
LFT / Q32 & Q16 are the future of clinical assessments and saving NHS unnecessary wastage on antibiotics and hospital admissions . No need for antibiotics if you can get confirmation of diagnosis on testing. Testing in GP clinics / A&E / schools /care homes would save the NHS billions of pounds over the years.
This is where Novacyt can exploit this huge requirement of saving NHS money by providing high quality testing.
This could well tranform Novacyt into a mid cap company.
Looking at his picture, could be the exact opposite, in that he is over inflated and therefore not putting enough physcial effort into to getting out and about doing meetings and deals?
#jamerthehutt imo
Well Chinese investors are filling their boots, with Chinese diagnostics stock.

so should the French and UK, as Chinese gov is worse than ours! #beggarsbelief sometimes
This is why I think Novacyt will be mid cap . They are all geared up and have to R&D to provide the tests for the future of self testing.

Spot on WBAFC. So much time has been wasted in the past through visiting a doctor in the good old days when one could actually see a doctor. This situation is unlikely to improve for many years if at all, so a self diagnosis kit is clearly the way to go for certain aliments and the future. Just wish Nova would broadcast this more - they are SO lacking in this area. One day perhaps, a self diagnosis kit like Scotty in Star Trek used might not be fantasy :)
wbafc...one would hope ncyt are trying to cash in on the unfortunate rise in strep
i can't see self test for flu being a big uptake with the public....when you get symptoms i suspect most people just assume it is and get on with it.
unless it was a test specific for the much more serious version "man flu"...lol
would be good to have proof that we are suffering that!
It would appear that Hampshire is seeing increasing numbers of Strep A, especially on the Isle of White. Do those doctors and NHS staff on the Isle of White know that there is a company across the Solent with the very product they need for quick diagnosis, or are they completely in the dark?
