The Company has also developed a plan to expand its Pathflow® brand of products and expects to launch a number of additional tests over the next few months to expand its rapid testing portfolio for infectious diseases.
The Company continues to make good progress in the development and launch of a central lab-based serology test for the detection of the IgG antibody to COVID-19. To date, the product has demonstrated significant levels of sensitivity and specificity for detection of IgG in patients 14 days after testing positive for COVID-19 by a PCR test. Novacyt now expects to launch a CE Mark approved product by the end of September 2020.
enjoy the weekend ,looking like an interesting week next week
If you use Interactive Investor you can only set limit orders (buy or sell) within 10% of the current SP. HL doesn't have this restriction.
Kareem, I believe you can just take off / cancel your sell limit at any point in time. So for example if you had set your sell limit at £17 to be triggered say for next 60 days, and saw the share price at £15 and thought I’ll have some of that. You’d just remove £17 sell limit and execute trade as normal at £15.
Thx K
Yes, my understanding is you would get the price you have set, not below or above. I think the real reason for setting a sell limit is so that if there is a sudden spike in the price that is only present for a moment or two, the sale would happen as your limit was met, even if only for a brief moment in time. This is possibly useful if you cannot watch a screen all day long and do not have access to live prices, just relying on the 15 minute delayed price we get. Again, I stand to be corrected, as this is only my understanding of what I think it is really used or useful for. If unsure, probably best to avoid using this option, or contact your broker. Getting a bit heavy for this time of night!
So if taken out you would get what you set it at and not less? If that is the case it is worth setting.
Hi Kaeren if you have set a limit at 14 and there are enough buy orders on the way up yours will be taken out @14
Say not day.
So let's say u set it hypothetically at 16.00 and it spikes to 17.30 and triggers tons of limits and comes down fast, is yours triggered and you end up with 11? Also can u sell in the conventional way at day at 15 if u have set the limit at 17 ?
I remember this being discussed over at EUA when they were at about 3p everyone set sell limits at 50p.
Makes sense
Kaeren; In answer to your question, I have put a couple of noughts on. It might be that other more seasoned holders have their own views on this. :-)
Hi Kaeren;
I have to be honest, I have never used this function before until now, but have read on the BBs that some holders use this to stop their shares being borrowed by MMs or shorters etc. My understanding is they appear to be able to borrow your shares from your broker, paying a fee for the use of. What some appear to do is set a high sell limit, meaning if others want to borrow your shares, they will have to pay the price you have set. I have also read that this only happens between the big boys and not at our level, but it got me wondering, especially if things pan out as we think next week. I suppose as always, DYOR. Below is a piece from my brokers help pages. Good luck. :-)
Limit Order:
In contrast to a Market Order, which enables you to buy/sell a particular security as the current market price, a limit order allows you to set a desired trigger price. Only if the trigger price or better is reached in the market will your trade will be executed.
Some folks just nasty born bitter, certainly some weird folks on these boards and lots of peops whose personalities actually shine thru . Re limits how the hell would you decide what to set it at. Never used them, how do you think it helps ? K
Think I am going to put a high sell limit on to stop those pesky MMs trying to borrow my little nest egg. As for our recently returned poster trying to spoil our weekend...filtered.
SP would be £9 by mid nov it looks like a reality now!
K, you beat me to it..
I wouldn’t be at all surprised if we saw 600 - 700 next week (with an RNS or 2 that we’re expecting).
I feel new high of 800 could be tested within the next 3 weeks if 3 or 4 of the 6 pieces of news we expect are announced.
Going to be interesting on Monday if this starts flying and we get an RNS just telling us HAS approved and nothing else we are waiting for. How many will bail if it reaches say six /seven. Not me that's for sure.
Could there be a day soon when we have an sng type day, I know it's from a much higher base, imagine imagine imagine.
Don't forget the forward looking P/E value is still tiny (approx 2.5). This company has more than proven itself as the ultimate growth share so who's to say the market won't rather rapidly reevaluate it to a P/E of say 10 and give us 300% returns?!
It's going to be a sleepless weekend for the guy in charge of the Voleon position. Let's hope we wake up to plus 5 at least Monday morning.
With the impending short squeeze it’s definitely possible.
