Hi exmex. ....who signed for primerdesign ltd
Exactly and hence probably didnt read it... lol
although maybe the camera in the room might have picked up the signature :)
val it wasn't han****, as he was too busy shagging his totty.
or could it have been a "top" civil servant?
if cabinet most likely hann**** of hunt? imo
From memory, I think it was PI100!!
Who at the Cabinet Office signed off the DHSC contract in September 2020?
More big volumes are bought today than selling , but SP goes down. Clearly, people are looking to buy in . Take note PI100
Yes HC I did. I'm watching intrigued from the sidelines and seriously hope shareholders don't get left holding the baby. They must be running on fumes , hope the Bod are talking to numerous parties. Maybe could avail of UKEF , timing though .
Am sure they could put a case forward for export of their tests.
Kaeren have you read the going concern statement for GDR in their interim report in late March? It's not great reading when you take into account we're now a full week into May:
''At the current burn rate, the Company has a cash runway through May 2024. We are confident that we will continue to gain commercial traction and securing significant revenues, but due to the time required to achieve this, as we have already stated, we will require additional funding. As described in the accounting policies, we continue to adopt a going concern basis for the preparation of the accounts, but the above condition represents a material uncertainty that may cast significant doubt on the Group and Company's ability to continue as a going concern. As set out above, the Company is actively pursuing further equity funding to provide the necessary resources to execute the Company's growth strategy.''
On the bright side, as it starts to rise again from this inferred 60p bottom, at least he will sod off until the drop starts again... IF it drops! Not long now... #FingersCrossed
Good to see you so enthused once again, never nice to see someone sink into depression.
As for the SP I said a retrace to 60p would be disappointing and perhaps deserve the accusation of a ‘pump and dump’ - can’t you just wait to see if it reaches that price before eagerly posting on here?
Not a million miles away from 60p again HC, freefalling again today!
Yeah the first DHSC contract had little effect on the share price, it had already reached a local (intraday) peak of 530p a week or so before that deal landed.
There's no question that the second DHSC contract is what propelled ncyt to the all time high of 1200p though.
Actually..just looking at charts.. There was a huge jump before gov contract. My bad.
Point taken
I know nothing about ekr...that seems bonkers
Harchris ...my comment was about wb seeming to say that ncyt reputation was a reflection of sp. From memory the sharp rise in sp was after the gov contract. So my conditional statement still holds
Interesting estimate on the valuation. I would need to see profit v expenses on ygen before I could agree. Without using the cash ncyt has... I am really not sure on tgat
What is that numbskull Winnifrith saying about NCYT in his latest musings?
GDR is a good example of the difference cash makes. If they had been cashed up prior to their extremely positive news that NICE has recommended their test as a point of case first choice for pre ischemic stroke treatment they'd have seen rally back toward 12 months high of ~£20m valuation but because they are possibly just weeks away from running out of cash their sp has cratered instead. Cash is worth a hell of a lot more than the paper value for small caps right now.
As for a peer comparison for what reaching profitability could mean... EKF recently returned to profit after a loss making year last year - profit was £2.73m , market cap is now £135m so a 50X multiple.
You can start to see what simply reaching modest profitability would eventually mean here.
'If you are relating spnto reputation...one could argue that the gov gave ncyt their reputation.'
FDA emergency use authorisation, WHO emergency listing, collaboration with University of Cambridge, GlaxoSmithKline and Astra Zeneca - this all came before the first government contract so this all gave NCYT more of a reputation than the (perhaps) panicked signing of a contract with the DHSC.
'Quite honestly take the cash away and what would you value ncyt at?'
That's a tricky one to answer. If you look at the cost of buying YG and consider the amount already sunk integrating the two companies then a debt free Novacyt could probably fetch around £25m-£30m if the cash was taken away. After the dispute £30m + cash is probably fair value but any sign that this new management team know what they are doing and that quickly doubles and some due to the opportunity that being cash rich will present in this market.
Billed as one of the cases of the year, with the stars of the bar out in force. Expect more coverage as this case nears its commencement date .

Return to the address of the honourable House of Commons dated 17th November 2021 Randox laboratories limited.
Type that into Google and the Emails , whattsapp messages are very enlightening .
To say chaos was rife is an understatement.
The excuses made for Rx are unbelievable. From contaminated swabs to lack of equipment, to tolerance for errors/ issues. Assistance with media blah blah.
Wonder if something similar exists for us .
Hope our lawyers have this. May have posted this before, tbh can't remember.
Wb...it is dangerous to think the case is won. I have always thought ncyt had a very strong case. There is one thing that slightly bothers me..but overall I am happy leaving my money in on the roulette red or black.
If you are relating spnto reputation...one could argue that the gov gave ncyt their reputation.
I would prob argue that the price around £2 was right for the time..bio interest saw it spike up.but the drop from there to 40p is all the company's own making.
Time lost with salad man and no coherent strategy on the non covid stuff.
Ygen has given a new lease of life..and I think LR was the best leader we could hope for
Quite honestly take the cash away and what would you value ncyt at? The old portfolio seems worthless judging by sales over last couple of years...ygen is interesting but it bankrupted itself.
If ncyt win as I still think they will...despite my slight worry...then you have a company with a load of cash in difficult times. However they still need to prove they can make a profit
