That's just not true, there is no justification for the comment 'shareholders clearly mean nothing to GM'. It's difficult to get communication right, I'm not sure suddenly shifting communication style/rns frequency would necessarily have a positive effect on the share price, it might seem a bit desperate.
Graham has over £100m at his disposal and still large amounts of money coming in daily. He will know full well that if he and the board make the right strategic moves over the next twelve months this becomes a billion pound company. He has promised us updates in Q2 and that is what he must deliver on, as well as continuing to generate bucketloads of money.
Think this is an important question really.
But also easy to answer. And to paraphrase chicken run, "those mm's are up to something". We don't know what... We don't know why. Shareholders clearly mean nothing to GM.
Yep, someone I know emailed them this morning asking if they knew they had investors out there. Not sure why they bothered as never get a response.
Anyone contacted IR recently? It would be interesting to know why Genedrive & Ygen were happy to RNS the PHE news while Novacyt didn’t consider it price sensitive information
Maybe they got the date confused with a game changing rns. : )
Bing.... they are getting a right slating on twitter, even the French are moaning
Cant even get the date right...

Averaged down from 12 to 5 and has been painful and expensive. But have full confidence for the future of the company regardless of Covid.

We must all suffer one of 2 things :
The pain of discipline or the pain of regret.
Not knowing what decision to make is most painful and staying stuck somewhere you don't belong.
Terrible thread heading !
Agreed, Harchris. It's materially undervalued, we just need a swift, and somewhat amicable/positive outcome from this dispute and I've no doubt a re-rate will occur.
IS there a cure for Covid? No.
Do Novacyct only supply tests to the NHS? No
Will people ever stop travelling hence bringing an end to imported covid 'waves' in the near future? No.
Is Novocyt working hard, evolving and ensuring they are No1 in the testing game? Yes
Is this a 'fast cash' or 'get rich quick' stock? No -* that oppurtunity has passed.
Is this an investors stock? Yes they will be profitable for a while to come.
How are the fundamentals? I dont know DYOR.
I'm I staying here for at least the next 12 months. I do know that countless people will have to go through hospitals and they wont get in on anything other than PCR tests. Novacyst have lateral flow tests. Novacyt detect the emerging variants. It may not be in the UK they grow but all over europe or globally- the market is huge. If you can afford to average down do so, If you can't just hang in there and hold your nerve.
I once read a story about a man who bought asos at 4p. He eventually sold at around 7000p. Took him years but can you imaging how many ups and downs in the stock price he endured? He paid off his mortgage and retired early (Bentley, Caribbean and all).
My point is, Covid is not ebola that was geographically limited. Covid is global. The impact is huge.
I honestly, sincerly very much believe Novacyt is just at its begining.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
As always pleaae DYOR
Yep, I agree with you there Harchris. I've got some funds freeing up this week and will add some more if prices are still around here. Too cheap by far now, and it's the easiest buy I've seen in a long time. Although ideally I'd like it to drop a little more temporarily so I can add a little cheaper, then rally hard as soon as i've added :)
I felt confident buying today because there's just no way to argue that a company with ~£130m cash to hand with the distribution and sales network NCYT now has could ever be valued at £279m. The only way to realistically lose money from here is if the dispute leads to a major revision of the 2020 financials.
I don't believe it will so I see almost no downside from here and still significant upside medium term.
Yes crl123 GM and other directors are at substantially more of a loss!! Now that must be a little comforting. Myself just a misely 20k.
Surprisingly my confidence is increasing. All we hear about now is variants, and we are number one at detecting variants. Admittedly the share price is woeful and doesn't inspire confidence taken on its own, but share prices by their nature are often random. I expect a pickup soon, feel it in my bones.
@crl123,
Surely it's not the amount that counts, thats relative.
Not sure what kind of subjective comfort you mean unless you mean its comforting being in the same boat.
I like to assume we are all in the same boat anyway and hope for the best as far as the company is concerned.
Personally, I would never disclose mty position as it leaves one open to abuse and wouldn't want to satisfy anyone with a Schadenfraude complex.
Yes sat on a similarly large cash and percentage loss. Just ignoring the noise and believe in what the company are doing. I know if I sell now the price will recover strongly in the coming months.
718p average, refusing to average down as my confidence is shot. Disappointed at the IR team for not providing answers. If, and I hope it's more a 'when' this SP recovers I will be out ASAP, biggest gamble in my portfolio and regretting getting sucked into all the ramping and hype.
Reading of others buying in when one’s average is over £8. And a lot invested.
Perely for subjective comfort is there anyone else with a latge amount ( loss of £85k) of any level who is sitting it out at a high average?
Of course this is just for subjective comfort-not wishing to rub it in .
Maybe some people wouldn’t want to say anyway.
