Wow. Another 18 months of starving the company. How the hell will this has this taken so long? 16 days seems a lot.
See you all in 17 Months.
Long way off, yes. There’s always the chance this will be settled out of court before then.
Insanity this is going to crash today
Yep, will get battered. Company is strangled for a further 1.5 years. Absolute shower.
There goes any chance of getting a decent ceo. Leave JM doubt it and save a whopping salary, less a bit of acting up allowance.
GM PI100 or shall I call you big TWAT, where do you think the sp will be today. Before you reply, please get your head out of you back side/think and then reply.
This will be settled few days before court case in favour of Novacyt for full amounts . Its just a game by the DHSC to delay payment as long as they can . The fact we have a date now is a real positive .
It’s positive that we can engage in zero M&A for a year and half? Non covid sales are 6m, so another couple of years of big losses.
And why the **** is it on grand? Taking us for over £100m and can’t even do it in person.
PJ100 -you need to enjoy your life a little more , your really wasting it
Amers. I don’t know, it could tank 15% or could just dwindle down slowly. You’ll be pleased to know, however, that I’ll br selling long before next June, can’t take another year and half of nothingness.
bye.... #soonerthebetter imo dyor :)
Do we have any private investors who have experience / knowledge of corporate court cases as to what frequency do these cases normally resolve well before court date . I guess the DHSC can afford to wait as its all at tax payers expense . But the outcome will be the same as Novacyt will win the dispute and their counterclaim . That will generate £160-200M cash for M&A for Novacyt
One thing to consider, just imagine the damages, if Dhsc drag it out, for the sake of it and then roll over at last minute, any judge will have a field day with this!
#RNS "we have taken advice and we have strong grounds to assert the contract" not sure any one director, would want to walk away from that advice and no KC in their right mind would offer such advice, if it were not true... as work would dry up in an instant!
imo - A resolution will follow, sooner rather than later, now dhsc have a deadline! plus the costs of legal correspondence going back and forth will amount to a few quid over next 17 months???
Whilst the stock market is meant to be forward looking it really isn’t right now so even if novacyt were expected to win the case outright with a high degree of probability and end up with a war chest of more than £150m it still wouldn’t boost the share price right now.
There just isn’t a short term catalyst to bring about a recovery for the time being, frustratingly
See you all next year, there is little to no chance of anything changing between now and the outcome of that court case, if it does indeed occur.
I have a feeling it would have been settled before now if NCYT were in a similar position to some of the other companies caught up in other cases that had no cash, were struggling to operate, needed placing etc....there would probably have been some sort of arrangement by now just so they could carry on.....
The difference with NCYT is they are bankrolled and can stand their ground. That's a double edged sword though as we can see.
Tuck them away in the bottom drawer and save yourself the daily stress of reading the BB here and projecting the dissapointment of your own choices and the BOD's inability to run this company onto specific individual posters.
It's like watching a group of opposing football fans here sometimes, blindly following their "team" and "hating" the opposition no matter what they write.
It's become tribal, it's not healthy...
21ATS. - You possibly weren't around when Novacyt and AVACTA posters were pointlessly baiting each other here in 2020/1.
Then you would have a much better understanding of tribal rivalry.
So see you all in May 2024 ?
Val - the problem is the legal costs for the next 17 months negatively impacts us more than them. It may be millions which for us has a tangible impact, for them they just keep on writing tax payer funded cheques from the blank cheque book. They have unlimited funds, we don’t. They clearly want to bankrupt us therefore they have no incentive to settle early. Even if we win the dispute it won’t impact them as their right wing press mates won’t give it much coverage.

I was around back then, I just don't post much. I kind of understand it more when it's two opposing companies. Although it's still a little odd IMO.
Here it's just become infighting between the blindly optomisitc and the depressingly pessimistic.
The reality is probably somewhere between those two, but we don't know due to the almost absolute and complete failings of the BOD to have any reasonable ability to communicate.
See you next year, nothing is going to change until the outcome of that case.
